Kids are always welcome—as long as there are adults around too! At least one occupant of each Aloft room must be 18 years or older. Be sure to bring ID in case we need to confirm.
Connecting Room Policy
Traveling together with family or friends? Many of our Aloft rooms can be connected—usually a king room with a double queen. Make sure to ask when you reserve or check in and we'll do our best to set you up, as availability permits.
Extra Bedding Policy
We're always eager to accommodate your little ones with baby cribs, subject to availability, at no extra charge.
Suite Night Award Cancellation Policy
Suite Night Award requests may be cancelled until 2 p.m. local hotel time the day before you arrive, as long as the Awards have not already been confirmed for use on a reservation. Once your Awards have been confirmed, you must cancel the entire reservation to be credited back all the Awards; however, after 3 p.m. local hotel time the day before you arrive, a reservation cancellation will result in the forfeiture of all Suite Night Awards applied to the entire reservation. This is in addition to any other cancellation penalties applicable to the reservation itself.

Check-In & Checkout Policies
Early Arrival Policy
Check in at 3pm or later and your Aloft room will be ready and waiting. Eager to get in earlier? Just ask at the front desk, and we'll do our best to find you a room that's ready. No guarantees—it depends on the last guests and our housekeeping schedule—but if we can't squeeze you in early, we'll be happy to hang on to your luggage in the meantime.
Early Departure Policy
If you have a sudden change of schedule and need to cut out early, stop by the front desk. We’ll do our best to settle your bill—but we may have to charge you for your full reservation.
Late Checkout Policy
Feel free to sleep in—check-out time isn’t until 12 noon. Looking to stick around a bit longer? Let us know and we’ll do our best to keep the room available for you until 2pm, at no charge. If we need you to clear the room, we can always stash your suitcase somewhere else until you’re ready to go. For late checkouts from 2pm to 4pm, a half day's charge will apply; after 4pm, a full night's room rate and tax will be charged.
Guests with special needs will feel right at home! We’re fully compliant with ADA regulations, including offering king Aloft Rooms and king Suites with accessible features.
In the state of New York, alcohol is for adults-only—so we only serve and sell to guests 21 and over. (Remember your ID!)
Package Handling Policy
We’re happy to accept and hold packages sent to you. Due to limited storage space, we can hold incoming packages for guests up to 24 hours prior to an arrival date, and outbound packages up to 24 hours after a departure date. Each reservation is allowed up to two complimentary packages weighing less than five pounds each. Just be sure that the sender clearly marks the packages with both sender and recipient info. All other packages may be refused unless prior arrangements have been made directly with hotel management staff.
Animals are family, too! That’s why Aloft New York Brooklyn welcomes dogs up to 20 pounds. Our pet-friendly arf(SM) program offers a special bed, bowl, and a doggie bag of woof-alicious treats and toys, all free to use during your stay. Please make sure they’re on their best behavior—we don’t want to charge you extra for housekeeping! A 100 USD deposit plus tax is required at check-in, but completely refundable when you leave behind a damage-free room.
Health & Well-Being Policies
Aaahhh…breathe easy! We're a 100% smoke-free environment. You’re welcome to light up outside, but local health codes mean you need to stay at least 20 feet away from any hotel entrance. A $250 to $500 fine (per night) applies to anyone lighting up inside the hotel.
Sorry, it’s nothing personal—but we don’t accept personal checks as standard form of payment. Personal checks are accepted for advance deposit reservations as long as the check is received 45 days prior to guest arrival.
Check-cashing services are not available at the hotel. (But we’re happy to help you find a local bank if you need it.)
EMV/Chip & PIN Credit Card Policy
Please be aware this hotel is EMV/Chip & PIN ready and your credit card’s PIN may be necessary for you to check-in to the hotel. If you are not aware of the PIN for your chip credit card, or you are unsure if your card requires a PIN, please contact the financial institution that issued your credit card for clarity and to secure your PIN.
Credit/Debit Card Policy
Debit and Credit cards will be authorized at check-in for the amount of your stay, plus an amount of 100 USD (250 USD for suites) to cover incidentals. The authorization will hold the funds until checkout, at which time the amount actually incurred during the stay will be charged. Authorized amounts may take up to 30 days after departure to be released by your bank or financial institution and the hotel will not be responsible for any resulting fees or charges.
Gift Certificate Policy
To purchase or redeem a gift certificate, please contact the hotel directly.
We accept all major credit cards. If plastic's not your thing, we're happy to accept cash upon departure; however, you'll need to present a valid Government issued ID and credit card at check-in.
Sorry, it’s nothing personal—but we don’t accept personal checks for payment, unless as payment for an advance deposit. All advance deposit checks are required 30 days prior to arrival.
Purchase Order Acceptance Policy
The hotel does not accept Purchase Orders.
Tax Exempt Policy
We accept federal and state tax exemption certificates. You must present your tax exempt certificate and photo ID at check in to receive tax exempt status.
