For non-US hotels, rates confirmed in USD may be converted to local currency by the hotel at your time of stay, based on the exchange rate used by the hotel and are subject to exchange rate fluctuations. Credit card charges are subject to additional currency conversions by banks or credit card companies, which are not within the hotel's control and may impact the amount charged to your credit card. Please contact the hotel if you have any questions.
Disability Accessible Policy
The hotel has eight accessible rooms and one wheelchair available for guest use. In order to reserve an accessible room or the wheelchair, please email firstname.lastname@example.org.
In Brussels, alcohol is for adults only—so we only serve and sell to guests 18 and over. (Remember your ID!)
Age Requirement Policy
Kids are always welcome—as long as there are adults around too! At least one occupant of each Aloft room must be 18 years or older. Be sure to bring ID in case we need to confirm.
Babysitting/Child Care Policy
Babysitting services can be arranged through the concierge during your stay. A minimum of six hours is required. A fee will apply.
Sorry, it’s nothing personal—but we don’t accept personal checks or travelers checks for payment.
Connecting Room Policy
Connecting rooms are available but not guaranteed and need to be requested. The hotel has 10 connecting rooms in total; however, connecting suites are not available. Please send an email to email@example.com for connecting room arrangements.
Our standard currency is, of course, the Euro. But if you haven't yet made it to a local ATM, no worries—we accept U.S. dollars too. We'll calculate the cost according to the day's exchange rate, and add a surcharge for the transaction. Our advice: paying by credit card is usually your best bet for the best exchange rate.
Early Departure Policy
For non-prepaid reservations, an early departure fee will not apply if the departure date is changed at check-in. Otherwise, fees may be up to 100% of the confirmed length of stay.
Prepaid reservations are non-modifiable and unused portions are non-refundable.
Early Arrival Policy
Check in at 3pm or later and your Aloft room will be ready and waiting. Eager to get in earlier? Just ask at the front desk, and we’ll do our best to find you a room that’s ready, at no extra charge. No guarantees—it depends on the last guests and our housekeeping schedule—but if we can’t squeeze you in early, we’ll be happy to hang on to your luggage in the meantime. If you absolutely must check in to one of our amazing rooms before 3pm, we recommend that you include the previous night when booking your reservation.
Extra Bedding Policy
Cribs and inflatable camp beds are complimentary, but are subject to availability at check-in and cannot be reserved in advance. One inflatable camp bed per room is available for a child aged 12 or younger. Cribs are available for children up to 2 years old; however, the hotel does not provide infant blankets, crib bumpers, or pillows.
Family Plan Policy
One inflatable camp bed is available per room for children 12 or younger. The camp beds are complimentary, but must be requested and are based on availability.
Gift Certificate Policy
To purchase or redeem a gift certificate please contact Marie-Anne Paolillo at (32)(2) 224 3109 or email firstname.lastname@example.org. For gift certificate bookings, a copy of the gift certificate is required at the time of reservation and the original gift certificate is required upon check-in.
For security purposes, valid government issued photo identification is required at check-in.
Late Checkout Policy
Feel free to sleep in—check-out time isn’t until 12 noon. Looking to stay a bit longer? Let us know and we’ll try to keep the room available for you for a fee. The rate varies, depending on the time of the requested late checkout. For checkouts before 3pm (local time), the fee is equal to 30 EUR. For checkouts between 3pm and 6pm, the fee is equal to 70 EUR. Checkouts after 6pm are charged one night’s room rate plus tax. There’s no guarantee, but if we need you to clear the room, we can always stash our suitcase somewhere else until you’re ready to go.
Animals are family, too! That’s why Aloft Brussels Schuman welcomes one cat or dog weighing up to 20 pounds* per room. Our pet-friendly arf(SM) program offers a special bed, bowl, and a doggie bag of woof-alicious treats and toys, all complimentary to use during your stay. Please make sure they’re on their best behavior—we don’t want to charge you extra for housekeeping! A charge of 50 EUR will be pre-authorized at check-in to cover potential damage to the room. Pets must be kept on leashes in public areas.

Credit/Debit Card Policy
Debit and Credit cards will be authorized at check-in for the amount of your stay, plus an amount to cover incidentals. The authorization will hold the funds until check out, at which time the amount actually incurred during the stay will be charged. Authorized amounts may take up to 30 days after departure to be released by your bank or financial institution and the hotel will not be responsible for any resulting fees or charges.
At check-in, the amount of the stay (room rate per night) plus 50 EUR to cover incidentals is required.
The hotel accepts third-party payments up to a maximum of 2,000 EUR. An authorization form must be received by the hotel before 9am hotel time on the day of arrival. For amounts over 2,000 EUR, a bank transfer must be arranged.
Bank transfer forms must be requested at least nine days before arrival. Payment must be received at least seven days before arrival. For a credit card authorization form or for more information on bank transfers, please email firstname.lastname@example.org.
Aaahhh…breathe easy! We're a 100% smoke-free environment. So please follow our no-smoking rules—there's a 250€ fine per incident for anyone lighting up inside the hotel.
A valid passport or a valid identification card from the guest's country of origin is required at check-in (no copy will be taken).
