Kids are always welcome—as long as there are adults around too! At least one occupant of each Aloft room must be 19 years or older. Be sure to bring ID in case we need to confirm.

Traveling together with family or friends? Many of our Aloft rooms can be connected. Make sure to ask when you reserve and we'll do our best to set you up at check-in, as availability permits.

Early Arrival Policy
Check in at 3pm or later and your Aloft room will be ready and waiting. Eager to get in earlier? Just ask at the front desk, and we'll do our best to find you a room that's ready. No guarantees—but if we can't squeeze you in early, we'll be happy to hang on to your luggage in the meantime.
Late Checkout Policy
Feel free to sleep in—check-out time isn’t until 12 noon. Looking to stick around a bit longer? Let us know and we’ll try to keep the room available for you. There’s no guarantee, but if we need you to clear the room, we can always stash your suitcase somewhere else until you’re ready to go.
The hotel is compliant with ADA. ADA compliant guest rooms are available.
Feel free to unwind with a drink in your room—just keep in mind, we only serve and sell to guests 21 and over. (Remember your ID!)
Animals are family, too! That’s why Aloft Birmingham Soho Square welcomes
dogs up to 40 pounds.* Our pet-friendly arf(SM) program offers a special bed,
bowl, and a doggie bag of woof-alicious treats and toys, all complimentary to
use during your stay. Please make sure they’re on their best behavior—we don’t
want to charge you extra for housekeeping!
* If your dog weighs more than 40 pounds, please contact the hotel directly
to discuss a waiver.

We’re happy to cash checks for Starwood Preferred Guest (SPG) gold and platinum members, up to $200 per day. You’ll need valid ID and management approval, and other conditions may apply—stop by the front desk for details.
Credit Card Policy
If you plan to pay by plastic, the cardholder’s name should match the name on the room reservation. If the names aren’t the same, you’ll need to send us a Credit Card Authorization Form completed and signed by the cardholder before checking in.
Credit/Debit Card Policy
Debit and Credit cards will be authorized at check-in for the amount of your stay, plus an amount to cover incidentals. The authorization will hold the funds until check out, at which time the amount actually incurred during the stay will be charged. Authorized amounts may take up to 30 days after departure to be released by your bank or financial institution and the hotel will not be responsible for any resulting fees or charges.
