Due to recent local regulations, the acceptance of US Dollars in cash is now restricted across Mexico. Payments with credit/debit cards remain unaffected. Please provide arrangements to settle your accounts and other expenses with a credit card or in Mexican Pesos. We apologize in advance for any inconvenience this may cause our guests.
Age Requirement Policy
Kids are always welcome—as long as there are adults around too! At least one occupant of each Aloft room must be 18 years or older. Be sure to bring ID in case we need to confirm.
Connecting Room Policy
Traveling together with family or friends? Many of our Aloft rooms can be connected—usually a king room with a double queen. Make sure to ask when you reserve or check in and we'll do our best to set you up, as availability permits.
Extra Bedding Policy
We don't have any extra rollaway beds, but many of our Aloft rooms offer two queen-size beds, so be sure to ask if that's what you need. And we're always eager to accommodate your little ones, with baby cribs and child-size air mattresses (thanks to our camp Aloft program) available at no extra charge.
Family Plan Policy
Children who are 12 or younger sleep for free in the existing bedding of a room shared with a paying adult. There is a maximum of two children allowed per room.
An extra person charge will apply if there are more than two adults in a guest room.
Parties and small events are prohibited in the Guau Presidential Suite at all times. The number of registered guests is limited to two in the suite and guests must sign a waiver at the time of check-in. There is a penalty of 500 USD for smoking in the suite.

Check-In & Checkout Policies
Early Arrival Policy
Check in at 3pm or later and your Aloft room will be ready and waiting. Eager to get in earlier? Just ask at the front desk, and we'll do our best to find you a room that's ready. No guarantees—it depends on the last guests and our housekeeping schedule—but if we can't squeeze you in early, we'll be happy to hang on to your luggage in the meantime.
Early Departure Policy
If you have a sudden change of schedule and need to cut out early, stop by the front desk. We’ll do our best to settle your bill—but we may have to charge you for your full reservation.
For security purposes, valid photo identification is required at check-in. Acceptable forms include a driver’s license, passport, and/or proof-of-age card. Photo identification must also match the name that is on the reservation.
Late Checkout Policy
Feel free to sleep in—check-out time isn’t until 12 noon. Looking to stay a bit longer? Let us know and we’ll try to keep the room available for you for a fee. The rate varies, depending on the time of the requested late checkout. For checkouts before 4pm (local time), the fee is equal to 50% of the nightly room rate plus tax. Checkouts after 4pm are charged one night’s room rate plus tax. There’s no guarantee, but if we need you to clear the room, we can always stash our suitcase somewhere else until you’re ready to go.
Guests with special needs will feel right at home! We’re fully compliant with accessibility regulations, including offering guest rooms with accessible features.
Feel free to unwind with a drink in your room—just keep in mind, we only serve and sell to guests 18 and over. (Remember your ID!)
In the case of an unexpected event, such as fire, flood, earthquake, or any catastrophe that makes it illegal or impossible to fulfill a reservation, all cancellation fees are waived without penalty.
Package Handling Policy
We’re happy to accept and hold packages sent to you—just be sure you have a valid guaranteed reservation, and whoever’s sending them knows to clearly mark packages with both sender and recipient info. All other packages may be refused unless prior arrangements have been made with the management staff.
Animals are family, too! That’s why Aloft Guadalajara welcomes dogs up to 40 pounds.* Our dog-friendly arf(SM) program offers a special bed, bowl, and a doggie bag of woof-alicious treats and toys, all complimentary to use during your stay. There is a waiver to sign at check-in. Please make sure they’re on their best behavior—we don’t want to charge you extra for housekeeping.
* If your dog weighs more than 40 pounds, please contact the hotel directly to discuss a waiver.
Health & Well-Being Policies
With the goal of creating a peaceful environment for all guests, please be advised that parties of any kind are not permitted in any of our guest rooms or suites. Noise complaints are taken seriously and may result in eviction without compensation.
Aaahhh…breathe easy! We're a 100% smoke-free environment. So please follow our no-smoking rules—there's a 200 USD fine per night for anyone lighting up inside the hotel.

Credit Card Policy
Credit cards will be authorized at check-in for the amount of your stay, plus an amount to cover incidentals. The authorization will hold the funds until check out, at which time the amount actually incurred during the stay will be charged. Authorized amounts may take up to 30 days after departure to be released by your bank or financial institution and the hotel will not be responsible for any resulting fees or charges.
Credit/Debit Card Policy
Room rates and applicable taxes will be charged when a debit card is used. The hotel is not responsible for overdraft charges incurred if a hold is placed on the card.
Rates confirmed in USD are guaranteed in U.S. dollars when paid in U.S. cash or traveler's checks. Payments made by credit cards at the hotel will be charged in the local currency equivalent based on the daily exchange rate used by the hotel. Currency conversions by banks or credit card companies in processing payments are not within the control of the hotel and are subject to exchange rate fluctuations.
Gift Certificate Policy
To purchase or redeem a gift certificate, please contact the hotel directly.
We accept all major credit cards, but if plastic's not your thing, we're happy to accept cash upon departure too. With cash payment, you'll need to present a valid credit card at check-in and your ID.
If you need to make a bank transfer, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org. They will send you the account name and number.
