You have the most amazing staff that always makes me feel welcome. This is the perfect hotel when friends and family come to town and you need a place in the heart of the city. Great energetic vibe and always a fun place to be.

Aloft was Awesome! From the moment you walk in - it's hip AND comfortable. Not cold - but warm and welcoming. The location was great and the staff fantastic. We loved our stay so much - we stayed an extra night!

After the football game my friend and I put on blow-up reindeer costumes. Aloft guests in the lounge asked to have their picture taken with us - adults and children. Aloft allowed us to bring in a little Christmas cheer!

Like all Alofts, this place is no fuss. If you want to be in-and-out and aren't looking for full service (room service, event services, etc) ...and you're on a budget, this might be your place. If you also insist on being showered with Platinum love, this probably isn't your place.
- Excellent service and super friendly staff willing to go the extra mile
- Great location in Minneapolis. By some great restaurants and they have a shuttle that will take you within a reasonable distance.
- Parking not too terribly much, but some issues with the payment machines (Hotel does not own)
- Like the other Alofts, not too impressed with all the pre-packaged foods (and they're not cheap)
- The bartender during our three nights was quite an unhappy individual and it showed (she was quite rude and off-putting)
- Great Bliss toiletries and awesome walk-in showers
- Be sure to stay on a higher floor so folks in buildings next door can't see you in your birthday suit.
- The desk and chair aren't as comfortable as I'd like for hours-upon-hours of laptop work.
Overall, super property and a great deal.

the location was great (also with egards rental bikes, th river, walking/ running trails) room were quiet, beakfast/ coffee was awesome, staf were courteous, understanding, very serve oriented

I like the look of this place but I feel alot of things were done cheap, like out of an ikea ad.
The door on the bathroom wouldn't close all the way, the lighting in the room is dim.

The staff was very friendly from arrival to departure. They really seemed like they loved their jobs. The decor was open, colorful and bright. Rooms were very comfortable and clean.

Parking outside in garage across the street, computers slow at check-in, tried two different computers (20Mins)- best room available for Platinum 2 Dbl beds...not impressed at all.

Great core staff and very clean room. Nice to see the towel and trash are labeled correctly in the fitness area. It was also nice to see and use the ear buds in the fitness area.

We always love staying at the Minneapolis Aloft whenever we are attending a Guthrie Theatre production. The staff is extra friendly and we can walk around the block to the show.

Very small parking area so I had to park in lot across street. Parking was included in my rate so they gave me a pass. When I left the pass only covered 6 of th 7 dollr fee.

My room was on the third floor, above a lounge area by the pool. People used the area throughout the night (Saturday only) and their talking, etc., disturbed my sleep. The last group was there at 6:00 a.m., drinking out of a bottle, dressed in formal wear. The staff said that area was open to Aloft Hotel guests 24/7. Really? What about the rest of us, trying to sleep, the number one reason for getting a hotel room? Also, I opted for the "green" route of no changed towels and sheets during my stay. I did not think that meant no one would run the vacuum, empty the trash each day, but that is what happened. Disappointing. The location is wonderful, especially the proximity to the Guthrie. The wine (Le Grand Noir - Pinot Noir 2011) at the bar was worth the price. Any place with a pool table gets extra points. It would be nice, however, if the hotel had an arrangement (as in a fixed 24 hour rate regardless of "events" in the area, etc.) with the garage across the street for Aloft patrons' parking, and had more sense about letting people talk and party outside the windows of others. Laissez-faire is a lousy policy.

Not sure what the walls are made of but the problem may have been the clientele. Had to call the desk at 3 am to get the people yelling in the surrounding rooms to shut up.

The staff at Aloft was very friendly and accomodating. The drivers of the shuttle were very informative and it was a definite plus to have their help getting around.

The hotel in itself is very nice although there was some confusion with checking in which was resolved. Given the amount of activities on the weekend of my families stay, the shuttle service was very poor. Having only ONE van to transport visitors to their destination was not accommodating. When my family entered the van to head to our destination, we were asked to wait as the van had passengers coming. These passengers were viewed finishing their cocktails at the bar. 30 minutes later after being told by the driver he would be back in a few minutes, the van returned. Then 2 additional passengers were added to the ride and dropped off 1st. My family was late getting to our venue which was 5-7 minutes away. Another family had a similar experience and took a cab. Plus - parking was limited and having to pay at a ramp nearby was another negative factor. Finally in my families travels we stay at hotels that provide a complimentary breakfast bar. We were surprised to have to pay for a deli style food service for a higher end facility as ALoft. My recommendation for this hotel would be POSSIBLY depending on needs of stay in Minneapolis, Mn.

Well, during my arrival I was very shocked with the professionalism of the Front desk clerk. Who was very memorable, I believe her name was Abby? She was exceptional and made me and my wife feel welcome! However, when I went to the room, the fridge was dirty; a left over Sappinos box left behind from Gary the previous guest. It reeked of garlic...to say the least! I immediately called down to the front desk she offered for a houseman to come clean it; but my wife was taking a shower so therefore, that was out of the question---We just didn't use the fridge. The vanity was dirty, I just cleaned it myself of course! The next morning I had a business meeting and I called down and told Brian to set a wake up call for 12pm--Requested a late checkout front he previous night but just wanted to double check my secured wake up! Well Brian never called...I over slept and had to reschedule a meeting, I was totally embarrassed having to make that call! I cancelled my future arrival Feb7th-9th- If I'm going to pay almost $165 a night, these minor errors shouldn't occur. But I understand no one is perfect therefore I didn't give no one a hard time!

Front Desk Frank was great. The room was small but modern. Issues included cold air that blew into the room, even when the thermostat was set at 74 and 75 degrees F causing discomfort all evening and throughout the night. The temperature outside was sub-zero, and the relief was limited in the room. The smoke detector was no installed; wires were hanging from the wall. The bed was super-hard. After a poor night's sleep, there was no hot water for a shower in the morning. The pocket door that separated the toilet/shower area from the sink and living space had a large gap resulting in no privacy. During the cold shower, water created a large puddle outside the shower stall. There is no on-site, long-term parking available; must use ramp across the street, which is not so bad, except had to pay extra, because I happened to arrive during an event at the Guthrie Theatre. I was advised not to keep my vehicle in the parking space behind the hotel past 8 PM as the condos next door owned the parking spaces and Aloft was not responsible for any damage. When I asked the probability of damage, the desk personnel offered "no comment." To round out the stay, there were issues at check out. The location is good with easy access to freeways and dining options. Minneapolis is a great city.
