Rated 2 out of 5 by Nothing great. Room layout was very strange. Prefer a more traditional layout. Room with 2 queens was rather small. Heating/cooling was horrible as the thermostat was right next to the heating/cooling unit! Had to leave a note for housekeeping asking them to vacuum the floor because it had not been vacuumed after the first night. Really missed having room-service. Had to follow-up with hotel staff 2-3 times before requests were taken care of. May 16, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Stay. Stayed for the Band of Horses concert at the Fillmore. 6-dollar cab ride to the music factory! Nice, clean rooms and great location. May 12, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Service The ice machine was out when I checked in at 5pm on Thursday May 2nd. The gentleman at the front desk offered to bring the ice to my room. It was great to see him go out of his way to make sure that I was taken care of. Later when I needed a cab, he also called a cab company for me. May 4, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by loved the people This was a great stay. All the staff were really great from the front desk to your cleaning personnel. FYI - I didn't check the boxes below related to food, spa, etc because I didn't use them. April 29, 2013
Rated 2 out of 5 by Room was very noisy Could hear people in next room, people in hall, and HVAC units outside April 29, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Best SPG place to stay in Uptown When you hear the cliche, location, location, location, you might not understand how valuable that is in travel. I just left the Aloft Uptown Charlotte last Saturday & I'm wishing I was still there today. Centrally located with numerous dining & entertainment options, the Aloft is an original & hip selection for Charlotte that feels like home. You can walk down & get tix for the latest concert with no concert fees or simply take the elevator downstairs & have award winning wines at Flemings. The room itself is like a studio apartment, swank and comfy; a perfect getaway. I also love the movies with food n drink in the Epicentre & the bicycle rentals in town~the perfect place to stay! Rated 2 out of 5 by Thought it would be cool, but instead. Uncomfortable Not worth the money. Any side facing the outdoor mall will have beat music to 3am. Surprisingly for Starwood, the beds were uncomfortable. The thermostate would only go down to 68 but felt like 75. Left property day early. Staff apologized and threw a few Spg points Would not go back April 21, 2013
Rated 1 out of 5 by the worst of the worst i stayed at the aloft charlotte at the expic center, it was the worst experience i have ever had. could not find reservation, we had previously asked for a room with two beds but instead got one bed and an air matress. there was no ice machine in the building, no resturant, prices for basic items were over inflateed, there were long lines and waits for the elevator. one elevator got stuck and trapped hotel guests on friday mar 2nd, and on saturday i got stuck and had to be freed by the fire dept. at 3am guest were awaken by a fire alarm and when we complained about our stay, the staff said absolutely nothing. the worst!
