Rated 3 out of 5 by NOTAGOGO Not for older guests
The bed was so low my husband could not get out of it. He pulled his groin muscle trying to get up. He is somewhat handicapped as can be seen from our request from a handicap unit. It was a not a good experience.
The room was clean and neat and all staff members were dealt with were very pleasant.
There was no food available when we arrived at 8:30 p.m. Bought a brownie that was stale. Was told we could walk across the street to restaurants but having had a long six hour flightwe were in no mood to go out. I realized afterward I should have checked the availability of an onsite restaurant.
All and all the experience was very disappointing and we will never stay in an Aloft again.

we had to fly out of PDX early in the AM so we stayed at aloft. It was a great place to stay, super clean, affordable and easy. Our daughters loved the pool and the staff were very friendly.

Was ery satisfied with the room and the staff. Only suggestion I would make would be to have 2 chairs in the room. Would have made it easier to sahre a meal.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Bkeith2 Nice Hotel But Horrible beds
The hotel is newer and very nice. The staff are friendly and helpful. The rooms are modern and nice BUT the beds are the worst I have ever had in a hotel. The first night we had to change rooms as the mattress was not level. The beds appear to be all rock hard. I don't have back issues but woke up each day with a sore back. For a hotel you would think the bed would be the key item so I am not sure why the worst mattress possible was picked for this hotel. My wife said she did not have one single night of proper sleep (we were there 5 nights) due to the uncomfortable bed and noise from planes. Some of the planes are loud enough to wake you up as they go right overhead. We have stayed at other airport hotels where noise was not as bad. If this hotel had comfortable beds and was quiet we would definitely return because it is great value otherwise.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Karen83 Excellent stay!
We checked in and used the park and fly. Great program for those who are needing to leave their car and not use the airport! We have stayed here many times before but this experience was different. Never have we received service like we have this one. Winn checked us in and was extremely friendly. He made us feel like we really mattered and working in the customer industry myself I know that goes along way. Keep him around! People at the front desk in the morning were extremely nice as well; however, I was unable to get any of their names. Nonetheless, great amazing stay. Will always come back for the service that we receive from this hotel! Not ordinary service!

Rated 1 out of 5 by Nic1 Complete disappointment after long day of travel
We usually always stay at the Aloft Potland Airport when we travel from the airport. I made my usual reservations, received confirmations, then even confirmed my room a day prior knowing our flight would be coming in after midnight. I was assured our room was reserved as requested and that there would be no problem with our late arrival. After a 20 hour day of flying two flights of over 7 hours in flight, we arrived at our hotel to be told a tour had come in and that our room was no longer available but they could send us to a sister hotel. Not what you want to hear at 12:45 am. And to top it all off, the sister hotel they sent us to was very old and was In need of a complete renovation in their rooms (we actually saw a lot of mold in the bathrooms). I have recommended the Aloft to many of my friends and associates as "the" place to stay if you are flying out of or to the Portland airport. That will not happen anymore. This situation was completely unacceptable and unprofessional. In this day of social media, customer service should be exceptional for companies tht care about continued business from loyal customers...not making those customers feel disregarded.

Rated 4 out of 5 by KristyM A little more effort by housekeeping
I was so impressed with Aloft on my first stay that I told all my friends and joined SPG. Excited about my second stay, I was disappointed that my king room on the second floor needed attention. The bathroom was great but the hard surfaces in the room (doors, paneling, desk/table tops) showed smudges and hand prints overlooked by housekeeping. It made me feel that the room wasn't really clean and I wasn't at ease. A little more effort would make a big difference for me.

I missed my flight home on Thursday and a friend recommended that I stay at Aloft. Loved it,..loved the design and decor, but the staff was the very best. I love Portland but had a crazy week of travel to several cities and it was topped off by missing my flight. Everyone - shuttle driver, front desk staff, and bar staff were phenomenal. My one request is for a power outlet in the bathroom area (near the mirroe) for the blow dryer. I had to blowdry my hair without a mirror-which wasnt a big deal on Friday because I had a 6 am flight out - I wasnt going to visit customers. Looking forward to staying there again.

Rated 5 out of 5 by cnatalie70 Great Value Great Place
My husband and I stay here every time we are in Oregon. In fact, we won't stay anywhere else if we can help it. Aloft is a great value for a Starwood hotel, offering the same wonderful heavenly bed, and great service you would expect. No room service but we are fine with that as the price is less expensive than other Starwood hotels. They accept pets which is great when we travel with our two dogs. They even offer a doggie package with a bed, food bowls, and treats. They have a great quick meal area where you can get a breakfast sandwich and coffee in the morning along with an assortment of other goodies. The W XYZ bar is fabulous - my husband and I make it a point to settle in with a drink or two upon our arrival each time. The rooms are always clean, and modern. Overall our experience here (over 10 stays now) is always wonderful. Highly recommend!

Rated 5 out of 5 by jdm25450 Great Hotel for Short Stay
Being just a short distance from PDX, this hotel made it a perfect place to hold a small business meeting. While not offering a full service food and beverage menu, my needs were taken care of by the Sheraton a sister property. I will absolutely stay there again on my next trip.

Rated 5 out of 5 by socaltravel I will look for Alofts wherever I go!
We like Starwood properties and were excited to try an Aloft. It was terrific and I will try to find them wherever I go. The vibe is hip and fun without being pretentious. Pool table in lobby. Nice pool & fitness room. Delicious, fresh, hot breakfast sandwiches. It had everything we needed. Also conveniently near stores (Target)/restaurants/yogurt shop.

Rated 5 out of 5 by LoisP Perfect if you need a stay by the airport
I loved staying here. A pity I had so few hours here out of a 2-night stay, due to a late arrival and various obligations. I liked the decor, the vibe, the free wi-fi, the publications in the room, the closeness to MAX.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Rhon Friendly staff!
Best part of this hotel is the staff! Location is great. Decor seems somewhat dated, Carpet in my room was wrinkled. Although fairly new, already needs a facelift. Loved the fact that they have a little "to go" food section so I could grab a snack even though it was after midnight when I arrived.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Laimis Comfortable and all around excellent hotel
The biggest plus of this hotel was the comfort of rooms - the bed, TV, shower, layout, all excellent. To top that off, it has a spacious and well stocked gym (a rarity in the hotels I stay) where couple of us were able to get our workouts in without feeling crowded. I did not use the pool, but it looked clean and well tended to.
The next time I am in Portland I will check this hotel first.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Frank62 Compared to Italy's hotels, this was heaven
After a wonderful three week tour of Italy, and two very long flights from Rome to Portland, a kingsize bed and a spacious bathroom w/a staff who made use welcome gave my wife and me a greater appreciation for the heavenly night stay at the Aloft. Frank & Diana from Eugene

This is a great limited service hotel. Fun location, convenient to the airport, freeways, and mass transit, and well equipped with a great pool and fitness center, cool lobby bar with occasional live music, and quiet comfortable rooms. I stay here almost monthly, and they've never missed on a single detail.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Singer Friendly front desk
As with most Aloft Hotels, you are met with a chic atmosphere once you enter the facility. The modern look of the lobby is attractive and welcoming. The rooms are comfortable and clean. The electronic box allowed me to connect my laptop directly to the TV for watching a movie on a big screen through the use of an HDMI cable.
The front desk was friendly and was very attentive to all my needs. A free drink at the bar was offered to Gold SPG members, which was a nice touch. All the hotel amenities were attractive and well maintained.

The service people had big smiles and were very helpful when the printer jammed while we were printing out our boarding passes. They fixed it immediately and were friendly.
I would suggest that another chair in the room would be helpful. Also, don't like the dark gray walls - seemed depressing. Do like the shelves across from the sink in the bathroom. It made storage very organized. Also like the long couch-type across from the beds for putting suitcases on. We had friends over and sat in the lobby for several hours. We ordered cokes in a can and the bar gentleman came over and brought glasses with ice in them. VERY NICE! The location is great for closeness to the airport and the shuttle service is great! We also enjoyed being so near restaurants. There are many pluses about this hotel. Just wish the rooms were brighter and lighter in color and better lighting in the bathroom. The large shower head and shower itself were nice.

Great amenities and style! Would return here for single or couple travel in transit to PDX flight, but was aware of airport sounds in evening. Everything I wanted was there at hand and a very helpful staff was available to assist.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Heather212 Nice hotel
This hotel is situated close to the airport with really convenient and frequent shuttles. There is fresh convenience-store-type food available 24-hours (at a cost) in the lobby, but complimentary coffee in the room. It's also close to a lot of shopping, and the rail line.
The room I stayed in was nice and fine for me, but the way it is designed was more for looks than comfort except the closet which was part of a shelving unit and covered only by curtains. I'm not sure I'd chose this hotel for a long stay.
