Atmosphere was welcoming. The appearance was different from what I am use to but it was a pleasant change. I felt like I was in a new error hotel and because it was different I wanted to explore more. Would love to stay there again.

Comfy, but not my style. The decor seemed be trendy and designed to appeal to a 20-something crowd. Nonetheless, I got a good night's sleep. When we went to check out in the morning (early a.m.), no one was at the front desk.

The staff at this hotel is wonderful. Everyone is very attentive and made me feel at home. The staff seems to enjoy what they do and it shows. In addition to the great people, this location is very clean and well maintained.

The common areas were very dirty
I heard a lot of complaints will I was down in the lobby for a very short time!
No common areas were vacuumed elevators dirty all lobby areas very dusty
4 LARGE TV's in lobby no working

This is the second time I have stayed here and I really enjoy the location being so close to the Amtrak Station and the Airport.
Decent workout facilities and staff was friendly to me. All in all an excellent value.

I had a very early flight at about 6am. As I woke up to my slumber, I forgot my Kindle Fire. I called the staff and they noted my address. A couple of weeks later, I got my Kindle Fire back. Thank you Aloft BWI!

I was surprised to see mold and mildew along the top of one wall. The carpet was stained and the bathroom door would not stay shut. When we looked at the pool the water was cloudy. I would not recommend this hotel.

After check in in went to my room, which had such a striong cigarette smoke odor, I immediately called guest services for a room change. The lady on duty was very apologetic and made an immediate change for me.

The goal is to be trendy and fresh but the facility is dated and it just seams cheap overall. Cleanliness is definitely not the top priority. There was a life guard on duty at the pool though which was nice.

This was a return visit for me and the staff processed check in very quickly. They greeted with a smile and acknowledged my platinum status by offering benefits to my work colleague. Great all around hotel.

Here's the thing with this aloft...it could be a really good draw, but there's too much cost cutting going on every place you look.
I've never seen more exterior lighting on a hotel before...which is great. Problem is, none of it is on. Same goes for a good portion of the interior lighting. I won't get into the other cost-cutting details...the lighting is what just happened to catch my eye the most. Well, that and the dirty floors in my room.
I stayed for 3 nights...was supposed to stay 4, but on the 3rd I found 3 dead bugs in my room - 2 in the bed. That was pretty much it for me...so I found another local Starwood property.
I wanted this to be a great place to stay. I've never stayed at aloft, but I fit the target demo perfectly, and I've been inside a few back home in Dallas and they've been great. This one however, should be an embarrassment to Starwood. It's time to check up on the franchising standards here.
For anyone considering this particular aloft, stay less than a mile away at the Westin for just a tad more. It's a FAR better investment. Even if it's just one night.

I came into town to celebrate my wedding anniversary. I was greeted by warm people at the desk and everyone I ran into was extremely helpful. I am hoping to be able to return and recommend to my friends.

This was my second stay and my expectations were met and exceeded! The staff is friendly and offers area entertainment suggestions. The rooms and property are neat and spotless.

nice hotel. staff is courteous, and the room is very nicely furnished. the food at the bar seems overpriced, and the server seems more interested in how much tips she gets than serving the customers.

Check out is noon so why is housekeeping knocking at the door at 8:45am. Did not check in until 11pm tired. No mention of gold status at check in. Air conditioner overly loud and blasting on one bed.

Rooms weren't ready nor were they clean when they were supposed to be ready. Reserved several rooms and had several other family members that had rooms reserved and they were very displeased.

One of the best deals in travel !!
I travel over 75% a year , the GYM is dead on , the rooms are incredibly functional , clean , modern and very cool .

First glance is very "Ikea" which was cool. That's it. No Tissue paper, Poorly stained carpet, Spitballs on the ceiling!!! No creamer or extra toilet paper in the room! Served it's purpose.

we booked 3 rooms for a family of 8 and were delighted with our stay at the hotel.
beds were great. bathroom doors slide open,however a towel can be used to prevent this from happening:)

Shuttle took forever at the airport. Over 45 minutes! Leaving the hotel it was a better. A 30 min wait.
Still waiting for the REFRESH department to call me back about a lost item.

The hotel itself was beautiful and modern and the rooms were great. I loved the modern lobby with pool tables and entertainment. Unfortunately i did not have a great experience with the front desk staff. I arrived too early to check in so i asked for suggestions of something to do in the local area that i could take the shuttle too and was told there was nothing in the area but restaurants and i wasn't hungry so I waited in the lobby. Later when i was out i discovered there is in fact a movie theater, bowling alley and some shopping in the area.
Then on my last day i took the shuttle to the rental car facility and rented a car. I told the front desk i would be returning the car around 11 pm and was told that the shuttle could pick me up there at that time. When i returned the car and called the front desk however i was told i HAD to take the rental car shuttle over to the airport and then call for the shuttle because there were other passengers being picked up there. I had to wait over 20 min for the airport shuttle and then another 15 min for the hotel shuttle and when it picked me up I was the only person in the shuttle. Overall not the customer service experience i was expecting from a starwood property.

When we arrived there was no soap in the shower, or coffee. The coffee pot still had an old used filter in it. The second day, towels were taken but none replaced, and no coffee again.

Sheets not clean on check in. Staff gladly changed room, but rug badly stained in substitute room. Checked out a day early and unlikely to return. Sorry, @SPG. Not at your usual level.

I want to start by saying that Jasmine, at the check in desk, was the best thing about this hotel. She was very helpful and the shuttle employees, were so sweet and nice. I had a couple of issues with this hotel however, that will make me not recommend it to anyone. First, we were accidentally charged an additional $64.30 for no reason. It was a mistake, and I had to contact Claire-the supervisor, to fix. Second, the staff was playing pool while guests were waiting their turn-and they continued playing! It's incredibly unprofessional for employees in uniform to play pool in front of guests, and then to continue playing even though they could obviously see we were waiting for our turn. Thirdly, the pool stunk of chlorine that none of us got in. Fourthly, we had to replace the batteries on the control because they were old and didn't really work. Most of the staff was awesome, but my experience there was unnecessary-especially for the price. I am disappointed because the hotel is beautiful, and I had higher expectations but even though I complained to the supervisor, Claire, not much more was done to regain my confidence as a customer.

The hotel staff was very friendly. The hotel is very contemporary!! The only thing missing would be if the rooms came with a microwave. I would definitely stay at the Aloft again!!

Not a good experience...sent me to a room that was not clean...had to go all the way back downstairs to get a new key...the next room had a funky smell as well as the elevator

Appeals to younger generations. Lounge area that opens to bar area and pool table is conducive for mingling outside of your travel companion. A refreshing option to the norm.

I enjoyed this hotel and the staff was very kind and helpful. My only issue was that housekeeping does not understand the sign that hangs on the door that asks for privacy.
