My stay was excellent the layout of the room was very good. The staff was friendly and courteous. The room was clean and the only negative I can say is the reading lamp did not function. Otherwise it was a restful night there, the shuttle bus to the airport was on time.

I did some research on the hotel and was surprised. It is just the right size and in a good location. I would stay here again. The room has just enough room, not too large and not too small. It reminded me of a semi fancy college dorm. Meaning my basic needs were met.

I am a platinum member and have been with starwood for over 7 years now...i have never experienced more frustration in trying to get my invoice as i experienced with this hotel.
First i did not get a print out due the 'green' objectives the hotel is trying to establish. I checked out and got nothing in my inbox. I tried to call the hotel and because the hotel's phone/fax number is the same, got a fax machine twice and then a busy signal. Then i missed the cut off for expenses.
Then i called the aloft reservations and they told me they were going to email the hotel...again nothing. It is now Sunday, and i am calling the hotel. The front desk did pick up the phone and were friendly. As a type this email waiting with the front desk staff..the email has still not come in (yes i checked spam).
Needless to say, i now have to spend numerous more hours of my time ....
This was my first time at an aloft...other than this experience (which unfortunately, the hotel is gettng the blame)...it was a good experience..just ruined.

We didn't have a bathroom door. I told the evening after we checked in and was told that some rooms don't have them. I also told the desk that we didn't have shampoo in our shower. Nothing was done and nothing was recorded until I checked out and complained again.

I want to start by saying that Jasmine, at the check in desk, was the best thing about this hotel. She was very helpful and the shuttle employees, were so sweet and nice. I had a couple of issues with this hotel however, that will make me not recommend it to anyone. First, we were accidentally charged an additional $64.30 for no reason. It was a mistake, and I had to contact Claire-the supervisor, to fix. Second, the staff was playing pool while guests were waiting their turn-and they continued playing! It's incredibly unprofessional for employees in uniform to play pool in front of guests, and then to continue playing even though they could obviously see we were waiting for our turn. Thirdly, the pool stunk of chlorine that none of us got in. Fourthly, we had to replace the batteries on the control because they were old and didn't really work. Most of the staff was awesome, but my experience there was unnecessary-especially for the price. I am disappointed because the hotel is beautiful, and I had higher expectations but even though I complained to the supervisor, Claire, not much more was done to regain my confidence as a customer.

The hotel concept is nice but the pool was too small to be accommodating, there is no complimentary breakfast and the bar area tiny. The bar closes at 11:00pm and the ATM machine was out of order both days. One of the guests left a dog unattended in a room!

It appears to me after numerous stays that the hotel is starting to suffer from wear and tear, but not to large extent. The staff does a great job of trying to keep things looking good so I will still stay; however, I will continue to monitor things.

I stayed at this hotel in the past as my in town getaway from the drama. But not this time, when I checked in, I went to the SPG line and I was not greeted nor handled like a SPG guest and I had to wait, which was rude because there were two staff at the front counter. I stayed in room 509, the room was clean and nice but I had a loud neighbor, I called the front desk to let them know and asked if I could be moved but the hotel was full. That was fine it was just that I had to call 5 times, and it wasnt until the last day on the last hour that a maintence crew member went to the room and asked them to be quiet, and if they continued they would have to leave. This is below the sheratons standard. I'm not happy about it, and I'd really like if someone looked into the quality of the hotel. Oh and last thing, breakfast bar...food is terrible. Upon check out I was not greeted with a smile only a blank stare no how was you're stay, checking out? May I help you...just a blank stare. This hotel has to get it together again...its turning gh***o.

my first time experience was negative:
1. was not allow to pay $50 security deposit in cash
2. there were no drawers to keep clothing
3. not enough space to hang clothes
4. had to go to the lobby for ice

Was quite pleased and pleasantly amazed at the speed and courtesy with which my needs/requests were addressed.
I wish there was a proper restaurant on site or at least a free continental breakfast. That would make this hotel even more attractive.

like the concept of Aloft and have styaed at 2 in the last 2 weeks. BWI location was average. the room did not seem extremely clean. Appeared dated and worn. there was no coffee, and no additional toilet paper.
the staff was however terrific.

Check in on the 4th of July and the 1st roomed they gave me smelt musky. The second room had hair in the sheets, the 3rd room carpet had brown spots and bathroom was dirty, the 4th room had stains on the sheets. I would never go there again.

Great pillows, comfy bed, convenient desk with plenty of outlets right on the desk. Nice entertainment and a comfortable lobby to meet people in.
The consistency from aloft to aloft is also impressive. You know what your are going to get.

Best experience with the staff at a starwood hotel. They were extremely welcoming to my pet and accommodating in every way! Rooms were very modern and bedding was nice. Negatives were that the TV was not HD and the room had a strange odor.

Comfy, but not my style. The decor seemed be trendy and designed to appeal to a 20-something crowd. Nonetheless, I got a good night's sleep. When we went to check out in the morning (early a.m.), no one was at the front desk.

From the time my family checked in til check out the staff was warm, friendly, and helpful. Room was exceptionally clean and the lobby/pool brought fun for my kids in the evening. We look forward to another awesome stay in the future!

Atmosphere was welcoming. The appearance was different from what I am use to but it was a pleasant change. I felt like I was in a new error hotel and because it was different I wanted to explore more. Would love to stay there again.

The staff at this hotel is wonderful. Everyone is very attentive and made me feel at home. The staff seems to enjoy what they do and it shows. In addition to the great people, this location is very clean and well maintained.

I had a very early flight at about 6am. As I woke up to my slumber, I forgot my Kindle Fire. I called the staff and they noted my address. A couple of weeks later, I got my Kindle Fire back. Thank you Aloft BWI!

This is the second time I have stayed here and I really enjoy the location being so close to the Amtrak Station and the Airport.
Decent workout facilities and staff was friendly to me. All in all an excellent value.

I was surprised to see mold and mildew along the top of one wall. The carpet was stained and the bathroom door would not stay shut. When we looked at the pool the water was cloudy. I would not recommend this hotel.

Here's the thing with this aloft...it could be a really good draw, but there's too much cost cutting going on every place you look.
I've never seen more exterior lighting on a hotel before...which is great. Problem is, none of it is on. Same goes for a good portion of the interior lighting. I won't get into the other cost-cutting details...the lighting is what just happened to catch my eye the most. Well, that and the dirty floors in my room.
I stayed for 3 nights...was supposed to stay 4, but on the 3rd I found 3 dead bugs in my room - 2 in the bed. That was pretty much it for me...so I found another local Starwood property.
I wanted this to be a great place to stay. I've never stayed at aloft, but I fit the target demo perfectly, and I've been inside a few back home in Dallas and they've been great. This one however, should be an embarrassment to Starwood. It's time to check up on the franchising standards here.
For anyone considering this particular aloft, stay less than a mile away at the Westin for just a tad more. It's a FAR better investment. Even if it's just one night.

After check in in went to my room, which had such a striong cigarette smoke odor, I immediately called guest services for a room change. The lady on duty was very apologetic and made an immediate change for me.

The goal is to be trendy and fresh but the facility is dated and it just seams cheap overall. Cleanliness is definitely not the top priority. There was a life guard on duty at the pool though which was nice.

Check out is noon so why is housekeeping knocking at the door at 8:45am. Did not check in until 11pm tired. No mention of gold status at check in. Air conditioner overly loud and blasting on one bed.
