Rated 5 out of 5 by FrankB Yet another great stay.
Love this hotel. Stayed for a week. Will definitely stay here when I need a room in Jax. Thanks! :-)

Rated 5 out of 5 by FrankB Great customer service, great hotel
People who work at this hotel make the location and experience better than it is. Always friendly, rooms always clean. Wish AC was central rather than an old style wall unit. But other than that its a great place to stay. Dogs stay free, no questions asked :-)

Please consider new mattress'. A Boxspring would even be better! I love the location of this hotel, as I' a frequent traveller to JAX, but when I am so stiff from a bad mattress in the morning. I close to being done with Aloft's. SPG you are KNOWN for your excellent beds, you should be embarrassed by the "Futons" at Aloft's

Rated 4 out of 5 by BB152 Newer Hotel - comfortable and affordable
Stayed at this hotel overnight on a recent drive from South Florida to NJ. The hotel is convenient to I-95. We found the beds to be very comfortable. Staff was nice. The only complaint I have is that the climate control system is very loud and it might be difficult to sleep with it on. I turned it on briefly on our arrival to make the room a bit warmer and then turned it off. The room may have (a quiet) hotel controlled A/C and heat and maybe the in room climate control is just there in case you don't like the hotel's preset temp. We certainly didn't really need to use it. I would stay here again without any hesitation.

I come to Jacksonville and usually stay down the road on the other side of the freeway. Aloft has a very updated contemporary vibe and and nice visual appeal especially on the inside with the contrast of vivid colors used in the interior design. It gives the feel of a Soho loft in NYC. The rooms were reasonably priced and the location is convenient to the JAX airport and a host of restuarants and shopping right across the street. I look forward to my next stay here. Brittany at the front desk greeted me immediatly upon entering with an enthusiatic smile and helpful attitude and quick service. Thank you

Rated 2 out of 5 by ToddDaytona What's that smell?
This was actually my very first visit to a Starwood property, as I have been using other brands until now. I had seen the Aloft concept online and thought it looked like a great concept. Overall, the design of the hotel is pretty cool. It's youthful, hip, and out of the ordinary. However, this particular hotel suffers from a serious design flaw that I hope does not affect all Aloft properties. I noticed when I first stepped out of the elevator that the ceilings are nothing but painted concrete. There is no drop ceiling or anything between you and the concrete slab above. As a result, the entire hallway and guest room (where this design element carries through) smells of concrete. I believe the smell actually made me sick, as I woke up in the middle of the night and I was unable to get back to sleep.
Next time I plan a hotel stay, I'll avoid Aloft hotels if this is a consistent design element of these properties.
Oh, also, the shower leaks. Even with the door closed, the floor was covered in a pool of water after my shower.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Traveler256 I don't think you want to post this review!
I have stayed in ALOFTS around the country... because they are usually newer, beautifully kept and very clean.
This is without a doubt the FILTHIEST, MOST POORLY KEPT ALOFT I HAVE EVER BEEN IN! The room ws dirty, the shower glass loose and leaking, dirty tile, stained carpet. creepy it was so dirty. The lobby furn was so soiled you hated to sit in it. The public bathroom in the lobby was stinky and had body fluids all over the walls. This was an absolutely disgusting place. I will stay at ALOFT again... but not this one!

Rated 4 out of 5 by rockydogz Great Staff
I stayed at the hotel and experienced one of the most friendly and helpful staffs ever. Had difficulty printing my boarding pass and the staff helped me. Unfortunately, the printing set up left a lot to be desired and my boarding pass didn't print out properly and I missed my flight as I had to go through the line twice. Hotel is only two years old and is showing it's age. Again, great staff!!!
