We were traveling with our small 10 lb dog. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. It was nice to have use of the Aloft dog bowl and water dish! Our room and neighboring rooms were very quiet. A wonderful night's stay!

Overall stay was great. We were on the 2nd floor first room located outside of the elevator. We heard it run ALL NIGHT LONG..and then AGAIN ALL morning. That was the only downside. Otherwise LOVED the Loft.

Rated 4 out of 5 by HarryL1982 The positive features of the hotel
The design concept is very appealing. The bar area and sitting area id very nice. The refuel area is good. The room has a god open feeling but small for 4 people. The beds were uncomfortable and had a hard time sleeping.

Rated 3 out of 5 by ARod Beds are uncomfortable
Beds are uncomfortable, and the bed cover was beyond its usable time. Did not realize until I went to sleep, and made it an uncomfortable night
The room is on the small side, and lacks space where to store clothes.

My only concern is that this is the second time that I have stayed here as a Starwood Gold member and been given a handicapped room, which is not optimal or comfortable.

This hotel was upscale perhaps downright swanky, the service staff was helpful courteous. Extremely clean throughout. No issues whatsoever. Great Job.

Rated 2 out of 5 by MrsHacker Not a good experience!
My husband and I stayed here on our "date night". This was the first time we stayed at an A-Loft, as we usually stay at other SPG properties! We were excited to try it out. When we checked in, the lady didn't even recognize that we were SPG members, didn't care to tell us what time check out was, or anything. She just gave us the keys and said there you go. We had asked for a higher level room, we were on the 2nd floor (and she even told us "ok no problem"). When we got to our room, the AC was super loud, and was leaking majorly, the floor was all wet underneath the AC unit, and was black (I'm assuming mold). We called down, and was told there were no other rooms to be moved too. The decoration and "look" of the hotel is neat, but it definitely needs some work. When we checked out they checked us out wrong, charged our card when it wasn't suppose to be, and I was told the manager would contact me at a certain time, and never got contacted. The staff was very rude to us, and didn't make us feel appreciated at all. The parking lot is horrible if the hotel is busy. We heard other guests complaining as well and were not happy with their rooms and the parking situation. Overall, wouldn't be a bad hotel if the staff was nicer and more help, and if their rooms were cleaner and better kept up!

Rated 3 out of 5 by JulyVisitor love the design; details not so great
I love the contemporary design of the rooms and hotel. Other than that, it was just okay. Many of the details fall short of effective. The blinds let in daylight while you're trying to sleep. The down comforters had huge balls of feathers clumped up in certain parts while the rest was empty. Sheets were like Kleenex. Too-small sliding door allowed people to see into the bathroom. Water seeped out under the shower door and soaked the bathmat and floor. Nice to look at, but the whole thing doesn't work too well. Hotel is very hard to find with only a tiny sign.

Rated 4 out of 5 by TD777 Great Stay
We came here after driving 8 hours from NC as a quick place to stay for the night. We got in late that evening so I was surprised that the gentleman that checked us in was so upbeat and friendly. Since it was my first time staying at an Aloft, he offered to give a quick tour, which was so sweet but we were incredibly tired so we declined. He still told us everything about the hotel.
We were offered late check out since we got in so late. I will definitely stay again when I have more time to enjoy the outdoor seating area and bar.
Room: Clean, Comfortable, Quiet
Staff: Friendly, Knowledgeable
Area: Quiet, Close to Attractions, the hotel is tucked away

Rated 3 out of 5 by SEVS122 Short Business Trip
I stayed at the Aloft Cool Springs for two nights during a recent business trip. I was met with the overpowering "signature scent" of the Aloft hotel. While the scent is not necessarily unpleasant, it was simply overpowering. The check-in process went smoothly, but I was told that there was no stair access (going up) to my room. I had to take the elevator. I prefer to take the stairs, so this was a big disappointment. My room was fine...quite spacious, in fact. Very modern in style. Please note that there is no bathtub, only a shower. If I had been travelling with my child, this would have been an issue. Also, please note that the "closet" is very limited. I had enough room to hang my clothes, but would have had difficulty storing clothing for more than one person.
The walls seem to be relatively thin, as I was able to hear even muted conversations as other guests walked down the hall past my room. I was also able to hear most of the road noise from a nearby highway.
The bedding and the bed were fine, and quite comfortable. The TV was large enough that even my spouse would approve... There is a small safe in the room, though I did not use it.
There is also very limited food service. There is a 24-hour a day, self service food area, which consists of prepackaged food and drinks, in the lobby. You must come down to the lobby if you want ice, as there are no ice or vending machines on any of the floors.
My biggest issue is that the morning of my check-out, I had to leave quite early for the airport. There was no one working at the desk. I could not find a single staff member, even after calling the hotel directly. The phone simply rang off the hook. I was unable to get a copy of my hotel receipt, and had to call back to the hotel at a later time to have one e-mailed to me.
Although the design and cleanliness of the hotel are fine, there were simply a few issues that would make me hesitate to book another stay at an Aloft hotel.

Rated 3 out of 5 by RollTideGal Needs Better Customer Service
This was our second stay at this ALOFT Cool Springs. Our first visit was not so stellar, but, we decided to give them another try. Our check in clerk was WONDERFUL! He explained way more to us about things than our check in clerk did for our first stay. (such as where the complimentary ice was located, etc) Our first evening, I went down to get ice for us-there was none available, but the clerk went to get it for me. I also asked for an extra pillow. She told me she didnt have any and would have someone bring it up to our room shortly. Well, we waited over an hour for the pillow. I had to call down to the front desk and find out where it was. She said "Oh Yeah-I will send someone right up with that" 15 minutes later, we had our extra pillow. I guess she forgot...??
The next morning, I needed to iron. Our room iron was missing. We had an ironing board, but no iron. When I called down to the front desk, the lady said "yes, there is an iron, its by the ironing board" I told her No, it was not-I had the ironing board up but no iron. She said "Well, go outside in the hallway and see if housekeeping is out there and ask them" I said...."NO-Im not dressed" She then said well, I will call them and see if I can get someone to bring you one"
SERIOUSLY!!! ???? I was not about to go out in the hallway and search for someone to get me an iron. I feel like this was her job-not mine-to make sure that the guests were taken care of. I have worked in customer service and would NEVER tell a guest to go out into the hall and try to find someone to get them something that should have already been in the room in the first place! We were very dissapointed in the customer service we received during our stay-with one exception- the MALE check in clerk was there when I checked out and he was very nice and hospitable. kuddos to him!
I do not know that we will ever stay at this ALOFT again. We return to the cool springs area quite often, and I think we will look for a room elsewhere next time.

Rated 5 out of 5 by JamesULPS This is the best place to stay in Franklin
I travel a lot and stay at this property often when I'm working in Franklin. I've stayed at other hotels in Franklin and this is the best place in the area. It's convenient to great shopping and good restaurants.I like the urban feel in the lobby and the rooms. Aloft, Franklin has a very social atmosphere and in fact I have made many friends there and I appreciate that being away from home so much. The staff is friendly and professional. They all remember me, know my name and always make me feel welcome. The rooms are comfortable and have everything I need to get work done and get a a good nights sleep. The showers are AWESOME!

Rated 5 out of 5 by DKandML A good friend to us
We have stayed at the Cool Springs Aloft many times (6-8 times?) while visiting our family in the area. Staff is always friendly, rooms are clean and comfortable. The only minor criticism about the room is that the air conditioner is somewhat noisy and you notice it when it kicks on or off during the night. Like the pool, WIFI, service, and convenient location. Breakfast is not free but coffee is.

Had a Get Time, and we Metaled in events.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Jess1028 The staff are attentive, hospitable, and overall fabulous people.
All staff make it their mission to make your stay worth while and enjoyable. They offer shuttle service that got me to work in a timely manner - whoever drove me to work would open the car door for me and talk to me while we were driving - just the little things that make a big difference. Every time I came in or left the hotel, the front desk staff always greeted. Overall, they're a pleasure and make the stay feel like home.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Phillip423 It was an okay hotel
I semi-enjoyed my stay at this hotel. It isn't as nice as another Aloft where I've stayed. Check-in was slow, but my membership was readily recognized. The room was nice, but the mattress was horrible. The mattress pad was one or two sizes too small and would wad up during the night. Without the pad, the mattress was very uncomfortable. Then, a volleyball tournament was in town, and the hotel was full of young girls. Although the girls were polite, they had taken over the entire lobby. It was impossible to use or relax in the bar. I was glad to know that the halls and rooms were very quiet. I'll still give Aloft hotels a chance, but I'll probably won't go back to this location.

Rated 3 out of 5 by KGMINI Neat Concept, Beds Way Too Hard!
Loved the concept of this hotel, great spaces for hanging out and talking with friends, if the hotel is not overrun by a peewee baseball team that has no supervision from their parents.
Mattresses were way too hard, none of the 3 couples that came could get any sleep on these beds.
Also could use some sort of night light, hard to use the bathroom in the middle of the night without waking up your partner.
Great location, right next to a mall and lots of restaurants.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Kate720 Fun, modern hotel that has everything you need
We enjoyed our stay at the Aloft in Franklin. We were happy with the room, facilities and hotel overall, as well as the rate and location. The rooms were comfortable, bright, modern and felt spacious, and they had everything we needed. The check-in and check-out were easy, and the staff were able to help us extend our stay once we had already arrived. In general, the hotel rate was a better deal than many downtown Nashville hotels, and the Franklin location is not only a convenient 20 minute drive to downtown but also a very quick drive to downtown Franklin, which has awesome shops and restaurants.
