Rated 4 out of 5 by great surprise When I first got in I saw 2 adorable puppies, one is dedicated to become the hotel mascot, Ricky and the second one Lacy was for adoption. Too bad I am not living in the US, for sure I would brought her back with me. Great job the hotel is doing with a rescue dog association, a little something is already a lot for these poor little things that are just looking for love and give love back! April 12, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great stay with Great staff We traveled to Houston fron San Antonio, Texas to celebrate my 60th birthday and we chose to stay at the aLoft for the first time. We chose the aLoft in part because of their pet policy which includes no pet deposit and the room rate was excellent. I read the reviews and even though some were negative we decided to give it a try. When we arrived Josh was working the front desk that afternoon and he was Wonderful, his personality made us feel comfortable and he is a rescue dog lover like us. Previous reviews complained about the noise, not clean carpet and the parking. During our stay we did not experience any of these issues. If only guests would clean/pick up after thenselves there would be cleaner carpets. I say that because while leaving my room some guests dropped a coffee creamer and a napkin and they just left on the floor, Really people pick up your mess!!! Noise in the hallways was non existent, parking in the garage was plentiful. So boo hoo to those who complain. The rooms are not huge, but we are there to sleep, so why the need for a huge room?? The bed fits perfectly in the room and bags were put away what more do we need??? All in all i loved this hotel and will be staying again and again. Josh was the first guy that greeted us, but your other staff members Jerry(?, I think he was a manager), Patrick, Jermaine, Decordia, Were fantastic. I was up late at night and Reggie was a great host for a night owl like me, he entertained me. Kudos to the Great Staff while we were there Feb 5-8, 2016. February 17, 2016
Rated 3 out of 5 by I was a guest on daughter-in-law's reservation. Aloft would not change our reservation to my AARP rate when we checked in. I would've thought that employees are more empowered than that to keep guests happy. The check in area is too close to the bar - it was so loud that the agent had a hard time hearing us, as we did her. My daughter-in-law had requested early check in on the website and it was not made clear that courtesy is not guaranteed. We were not able to check in until after 2:00. The room doors are so heavy that we could barely open them and we'e all in pretty good shape! The shower floor/tile, caulking in our room needs repair. The light in the toilet/shower area can not be left on as a nightlight (safety concern) because the light shines through the glass panel into the bedroom. Overall, very disappointed with our stay and the cost. February 3, 2016

Rated 5 out of 5 by Love this Place! Very cute and cozy! My sisters and I took a vacation in Houston to which we had a blast! The hotel made it that much greater as it was so visually pleasing and comfortable. I will definitely stay again! We had cocktails on the patio and the scenary was awesome! January 9, 2016
Rated 4 out of 5 by Wxyz My wife and I are huge fans of Aloft Hotels, choosing to stay here in various cities whenever available. Love the design and ambience of the rooms and the property in general, as well as the professionalism and responsiveness of the team. However, if I could request one change, it would be that drinks in the Wxyz Bar be served in real glass rather that clear plastic cups. 18-year old Macallan Scotch just isn't the same in a cheap party cup :) January 3, 2016

Rated 5 out of 5 by great stay after surgery Would first of all like to give kudos to the staff at this hotel. probably was the best staff that I have ever encountered. Only real problem was the ac. It was very noisy and the thermostat was way off. Had to put on 65 to get room to 70 at the best. When it would come on during the night it was noisy enough to wake you up. Also stayed on 10 th floor but it looked like ceiling was un finished could have put finish coat on it. December 5, 2015
