Rated 3 out of 5 by Dorm Room I stayed at this hotel because I have always had a great experience at Starwood hotels. The staff here was extremely nice and very helpful. My only disappointment was the room comfort. The bed was as hard as a rock and I woke up with a sore back every morning. I felt like I was in a dorm room! Also, the lighting was bad. If you wanted to read in bed the light above the bed is too dim. I am not sure if I would stay at an Aloft again. May 16, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Beautiful hotel and wonderful service! I enjoyed my stay at the Aloft in San Francisco. The hotel was beautiful, very clean, and the staff was amazing! May 6, 2013
Rated 1 out of 5 by Exceedingly Disappointed If traveling to the North Dallas, TX area you'll immediately know that the hotel choices are abundant. I chose Aloft specifically because it was close to where, and who I needed to be close to. Upon arriving, and entry to the hotel, I was not greeted promptly but rather made to wait while the front desk host was on a phone call. I checked in, and went upstairs to get settled in my room. The first thing that I noticed was that you essentially entered what appeared to be a makeshift bathroom. The room felt extremely small to me, unlike any other hotel room I'd ever seen or been in. The bathroom was laid out in a very linear pattern with the stand up shower, butted right up to the toilet, which was barely partitioned by a non-locking, sliding door. Then the extremely small vanity. This made me extremely uncomfortable, to the point that I felt like checking out of the hotel. However, due to time restrictions, and plans I was not able to. The room had a king sized bed in there, which took up the majority of floor space in the hotel room. There was no real closet to speak of, just a nook adjacent to the sink. I would not recommend this hotel, or any other Aloft to anyone, anywhere. January 29, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Outstanding customer service I would like to commend the staff at the Aloft Frisco, in particular Aaron the overnight front desk associate. Although I've only been staying at this particular hotel a few short weeks, the staff has always been helpful and friendly. On this particular morning, my car's battery was dead, however Aaron went out of his way to retrieve his own set of cables to give me a jump when he discovered the hotel did not have any. This display of customer service was especially impressive, since I know his night had to have been challenging already because the hotel had experienced a burst pipe earlier and was without water. This obviously did not deter Aaron frrom continuing to give his guests the best service possible and why I will always stay at a Starwood property for my hotel travel needs. February 21, 2012
Rated 2 out of 5 by Good look, Friendly staff, with loud and unfriendly room I stayed at Aloft Frisco for a couple nights while visiting my stepsister and family for Christmas. All in all, it was nothing to write home about. The lobby was quite inviting and the staff was friendly upon check-in. Once I got to my room, I tried to settle, but found the layout difficult to unpack things. No drawers made it difficult to put away underwear and socks. The shower had soap scum all over the glass and the blinds didn't provide full blackout and didn't even fully close. The floor looked as though it was in need of a deep clean, although the bed was comfortable and the television was great. I didn't want to deal with TSA unwrapping presents, so I packed boxes, wrapping paper and presents to wrap in my room. One thing. I forgot my scissors. I asked the front desk if I could borrow theirs and they told me they could not leave the desk. If I wanted to bring the presents to the lobby, I could wrap gifts there and use the scissors, but couldn't take to the room. I offered collateral to no avail. Fortunately, my brother was staying at another hotel down the road and had scissors in his dopp kit and ran them down for me. Crisis averted. I was disappointed that there was no housekeeping service on Christmas Day - I realize this sounds heartless, however, it is the hospitality industry and limited service should be available - dumping trash, changing towels, if necessary - I didn't need a full cleaning of my room, but would have liked some quick straightening of the room... after all, the service is part of the hotel rate, in my opinion. The rest of my stay, every time I passed through the lobby, the staff acknowledged me and were cordial. December 15, 2011
Rated 4 out of 5 by Young & Fun Hotel to Stay In! I once stayed here for business with colleagues who were all 30-something... after a day full of meetings, we had so much fun kicking back and laughing over a few drinks in the wxyz lounge! We all appreciated the comfort, ease and cool that this hotel had to offer us! Convenient drive to many of the large corporations in the area as well as to restaurants and shopping. Staff was friendly and laid back. Exceeded our expectations! January 10, 2012
Rated 4 out of 5 by Felt very welcomed I stayed at the Aloft Frisco for a brief conference. what I really liked about the room was that it was clean, comfortable and up to date. The staff there was very helpful and they got me to my conference and back by thier shuttle service, which was wonderful. I highly recommend this hotel and would stay there again if I have to return to Dallas area. September 21, 2012
Rated 3 out of 5 by Friendly Staff The location was great for our specific visit. Close to lots of shopping and eating as well. The towels were rough, toilet paper too. Pool water was nasty...filed with algae. Enjoyed the bar and playing pool in the lobby. April 9, 2012
