Rated 2 out of 5 by Would not recommend it Air condition is loud and blows right towards bed. No closet space that I had clothes hanging everywhere. To top it off, I made one call for 30 seconds and they charged me $68.92 and charged me for calls that didn't even go through. September 17, 2016
Rated 1 out of 5 by NEVER AGAIN THE WEEKEND I STAYED HERE WAS THE ANNIVERSERY OF MY BOYFRIENDS PASSING I WAS STAYING THERE TO GET AWAY FROM EVERYTHING AND TO HAVE A PIECE OF MIND TO MYSELF. I DIDNT WANT TO STAY IN MANHATTAN SO I FIGURED THIS IS THE NEXT BEST THING SINCE ITS SUPPOSED TO BE A BRANCH OF THE W HOTEL. WHEN I CHECKED IN ALL WAS WELL BUT LATER THAT NIGHT THE STAFF AT THE FRONT DESK WAS VERY VERY RUDE. I WAS TALKING TO HER SHE WOULD NOT RESPOND SHE DIDNT EVEN LOOK UP TO ACKOWLEGE ME, FINALLY WHEN SHE DECIDED TO RESPOND AFTER ME ADDRESSING HER ABOUT 4 TIMES SHE SAID ITS CLOSED WITHOUT EVEN LOOKING UP AT ME. THEN THE SECOND DAY I WENT UPSTAIRS TO THE ROOF BAR WITH A GUEST AND WHEN WE GOT UPSTAIRS THE SERVER SAID THAT THE KITCHEN WAS CLOSED AND THAT IT WILL REOPEN AT 5PM THIS WAS AROUND 3:45PM SO WE DECIDED TO SIT HAVE SOME DRINKS AND WAIT. AS WE REACHED THE BAR THERE WERE A FEW EMPTY SEATS SO WE SAT DOWN THE BARTENDER BYPASSED US AND SEVERED THE WOMAN NEXT TO US (WHO HAPPEND TO A DIFFERENT RACE THE WE WERE) HE WALKED FROM LEFT TO RIGHT THEN FROM RIGHT TO LEFT HE EVEN LEFT THE BAR AND CAME BACK NEVER ASKING US WHAT WE WANTED THEN FINALLY AFTER SITTING THERE FOR 10 TO 15 MINS I DECIDED TO ASK FOR A DRINK HE MADE OUR DRINKS AND DURING THAT TIME SOMEONE APPROCHED THE BAR HE STOPPED MAKING OUR DRINKS AND BEGAN TO MAKE THE OTHER GUEST DRINK. SO I DECIED TO TAKE MY DRINK TO THE TABLES. THERE WERE OTHER GUEST SEATED IN THE SEATING AREA AS WELL AS OTHER GUEST BEING SEATED WITH MENUS AND THEY ORDERED FOOD. THE WAITERS CONTINUOUSLY PASSED US WITHOUT ASKING IF WE WERE OK , IF WE WANTED FOOD OR EVEN ANOTHER DRINK. SO WE ASK IF WE COULD ORDER A DRINK WITH THE WAITER THE WAITER SAID NO. SO WE DECIDED TO LEAVE ... SO WE WENT TO THE LOBBY TO THE WXYZ BAR THE BARTENDER JOE WAS THE BEST EVER!!!! BUT THE HAD NOTHING THAT I DRINK OUT OF ALL DRAFTED BEER. NO MOSCATO AT ALL SO I HAD TO SETTLE FOR A WINE I DID NOT LIKE VERY MUCH . IT WAS WAY TO HOT TO GO OUT SIDE SO I WANTED TO STAY IN THE BEST PART WAS WATCHING THE OLYMPICS AND TALKING WITH JOE. THE WIFI DID NOT WORK IN THE LOBBY WHICH WAS VERY INCONVIENT I HAD TO KEEP GOING TO MY ROOM TO BOOK MY UBER. DURING THE EARLY HOURS THE HOUSEKEEPING WOULD BE SLAMMING THE DOORS TO THE ROOMS AND CLOSET WAS RIGHT NEXT TO MY ROOM AND THE DOORS SLAM EVERY FEW MINUTES SO HAR TO SLEEP BECAUSE IT WAS SO LOUD. I WASTED MY EMOTIONAL WEEKEND TO JUST BE TREATED HORRIBLY ALL I WANTED WAS A HOME AWAY FROM HOME. CALLED FOR ASSISTANCE WAS PUT ON HOLD AND STAFF NEVER RETURNED. August 15, 2016
Rated 2 out of 5 by Bad Bad Expiereince My 1st room was not ready for 2 hours after the 3 pm check-in, I arrived at 33o pm , after a 2 hour drive. . When I finally got to my room the terrace ( for which I paid extra for and specifically requested was under construction and I had to switch rooms which was another wait. I found out then the water wasn't working for hours which I was never informed of b4 checking in. I had to take a shower at the hotel next door. Once it started working it came out brown. Also the toilet in my room was leaking. July 29, 2016

Rated 1 out of 5 by Worst Front Desk at a Starwood hotel My reservation was lost and there was no room for me to check into on Friday. I was forced to seek a room at another hotel. This was a major inconvenience as I was there for a wedding and needed to be picked up for the ceremony and other events at the aloft. I was able to get a room for the next evening at full price and with no consideration to my spg status. My reservation was lost and there was no room for me to check into on Friday. Rated 4 out of 5 by Saved the trip We had originally booked an independent hotel in Manhattan and it became quickly evident that wasn't the right place for us. Staying outside of Manhattan wasn't an issue, bikes would put us downtown in 10 - 15 minutes and Mid-town shortly thereafter. The hotel was exactly what you would want from the Aloft. Clean, quiet and a wonderfully attentive staff. Donna was a great host each morning and everyone made us feel at home. May 5, 2016

Rated 3 out of 5 by Poor customer service The staff including the female manager was rude and unaccomanding. The room temperature did not have a happy medium, it was either to hot or to cold. Staff took long to respond to simple requests such as needing toilet paper. February 24, 2016
