My reservation was lost and there was no room for me to check into on Friday. I was forced to seek a room at another hotel. This was a major inconvenience as I was there for a wedding and needed to be picked up for the ceremony and other events at the aloft. We had originally booked an independent hotel in Manhattan and it became quickly evident that wasn't the right place for us.
Staying outside of Manhattan wasn't an issue, bikes would put us downtown in 10 - 15 minutes and Mid-town shortly thereafter.
The hotel was exactly what you would want from the Aloft. Clean, quiet and a wonderfully attentive staff. Donna was a great host each morning and everyone made us feel at home.

This is always a welcoming property. I have stayed here several times, and hope to again whenever in NYC.

The staff including the female manager was rude and unaccomanding. The room temperature did not have a happy medium, it was either to hot or to cold. Staff took long to respond to simple requests such as needing toilet paper.

Title says it all for the same price next-door you get Platinum upgrades, more welcome amenity points and a club lounge also nicer rooms.

A very big thank to the front desk staff - Trista, Kathryn, Peggy and the wonderful other staff. They always go above and beyond to make our stay very pleasant. See you again in April/May.

Conveniently located close to metro. The staff was friendly and accommodating. Previous night saw me woken at 4:30am by a family with a young child in the adjoining room. Due to the setup/proximity/acoustics, it felt like they were in bed next to me. This was correctrd immediately upon asking. Was given a clean room on the highest floor without an adjoining room the second night. All in all, a very pleasant stay.
