Rated 4 out of 5 by ZacLin Awesome hotel which truly embraces the vision of W Hotel
What attracted me to stay in Aloft was the phrase "A Vision of W Hotels". True enough, the rooms, the service and the facilities resembles so much, or in fact are identical to that of W Hotels! I was delighted with my stay in Aloft. Absolutely satisfied with the room!
The free tutu service to the nearest Nana BTS station was a pleasant surprise too! It offered great convenience for those who are just too lethargic to walk to the BTS station from the hotel.
Also! Not forgetting the awesome Re:Fuel and Splash - the gym and swimming pool situated at level 10 of the hotel. I love this area! I spent a wonderful time relaxing by the poolside after a quick dip and swim in the pool before I checked out.
The only letdown was that my room was near the emergency exit and I could hear noises of doors opening and closing on and off even when it was the wee hours. Better sound proof doors for the rooms would very much be appreciated.

The reason for choosing a hotel is the staff. At the restaurant, the staff included Kong, Patty, Bam, Noy, Oui, Cloz, Noey, Krit, A, and Tuk. They were all excellent and provided us with an excellent dining experience.
The room cleaning staff knew that we like to have small pillow and drink a lot of water, thus provided those, before we arrived.
Then, the front desk staff, inlcuding Dream, Kris, Gwen, Geng, Neng, May, Gae, Perm, Art, Golf, Farah, Narn, Norm, Aun, Moo, Toom, Notto, and Ball made sure that our arrival and departure were without problem and explained the facilities to us. They were perfect.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Manaf The hotel has a convenient location
The hotel location is convenient and surrounded with nice restaurants of just walking distance, in addition to clean and cozy massage places. The overall price of the room is splendid compared to the level of the hotel quality of rooms & service. I never stayed anywhere else in Bangkok since 2012 (My first experience with Aloft Bangkok)!

I don't think the water of the swimming pool is clean enough. I mean, all you need is take a look at it, you know they must turn on some system to make it clear.
And yeah, the pool is not big enough, comparing to Alost Sentral Kuala Lumpur.
But I love and recommend all the street food stands on the Sukhumvit 11. They are so amazing, the price is so cheap, must try.

Rated 2 out of 5 Great Location! Nice new hotel off Sukhumvit
This hotel has a great location, trendy, and is reasonably priced. It is a good choice for anyone on a budget wanting to stay in an awesome area with easy BTS access. However, as a 13 year SPG / Platinum member I was disappointed in that they did not recognize that fact or give any of the normal perks you receive as a Platinum member in all the other SPG Bangkok properties.
I would recommend you check it out if you are not a Platinum member; but if you are, pick a different SPG property in Bangkok.

Had a great stay from 20th dec,2011 to 26th dec2011.
aLoft 11 happens to be very true to its name, the trendiest and hip savvy of a kind i have ever stayed in.
The interiors, room comfort, bed, all the gizmo connections you will ever need, are all available.
Enjoyed a swim at the pool.(ya, but i wish it were temp controlled).
Hope you guys speed up the restaurant work and the kids activity area,so, yes i plan another great stay with my daughter who missed the kids section.
Mr.Haris.K(aloha Desk Manager),great person, who made my stay comfortable,by attending to all my requirements.
Thanks to all you guys,

Rated 4 out of 5 by DarthJason More than a Vision of W.
Definitely comparable with the more upmarket W chain but with a more affordable price point.
The Tuk Tuk transport service to BTS Nana is a godsend.
The rooms are nicely furnished with an amazing view.
Service was impeccable especially the concierge.
Minor points for improvement:
Room corridor aircon was not working at level 30.
While it may be difficult to implement, a preferred list of cab drivers could be chosen. My wife and i experienced a dishonest cab driver who brought us to a ferry point for a boat trip to Wat Pho even though we had agreed to go to Wat Pho via the cab. The boat trip price was exorbitant. While no fault of the staff at the Concierge, it would be good to have a preferred cab driver group that is honest and will not mar the otherwise perfect experience staying in Bangkok and especially Aloft Sukhumvit.

Rated 1 out of 5 by bradly81 Just for small budget travellers
I stayed this hotel about 2 months ago.
And I was forced to book here aloft bangkok due to my late flight. but their service was low as the room rate. Porter was almost threating me to take my luggages. Moreover the clerks at the front desk were mean with litte smile. Room was nothing special but toilet was partly dirty with some dirty pee stains or something like that around the toilet. I didn't even complain about this. cuz I would never ever stay here again.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Dino High-rise hotel at affordable price.
I stayed at this hotel for the second time and everything is enjoyable as before. The hotel staff are very nice and friendly. Food is also good. The only drawback is the bathroom in guest room. Water tap at shower is not in good condition. It is too loose and difficult to manage properly. I wanted warm water but temperature is not warm enough for my need. The most impressive matter of this hotel is high-rise atmosphere. I can see very beautiful skyscrapers view from window. There are many restaurants and shops near this hotel. There is a BTS skytrain station within walking distance. Such a convenient place for me. I should add that my room number is 3107.

If you like spending time in Thailand, Aloft will make you loose that feeling.
The staff try's as good as they can! When everything is smelly and dirty, it don't help . The hotels location is in the end of a narrow busy street! It's a sad hotel, in a very nice and beautiful city. Thailand is just so nice, unfortunate Aloft is not.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Nickagain Great Stay, Can do with more attention to details
Staying at the Aloft Sukhumvit was great and it is fantastically located, with great connections to everything you can want. The rooms are spacious, the bathrooms are well equipped, and the pool, gym and club are great.
While the hotel does not have a restaurant they have breakfast and they have in-room dining. They offer free tuk-tuks to the closest BTS stations and have a 24 hour cafe.
Everything on the large scale is good, but there are certain small things that would be useful if attention was paid to details - for example, a local guide that is handy and guides people to specific places in the neighbourhood. Offering more than just the basic amenities - shaving kits, dental kits, etc. It is irritating to go and search for these things on checking in. Experience with other SPG hotels has been that there have been these tiny things that they offer, which makes life so much easier.
But still, a great place to live in, and I might give it another shot the next time.

Rated 4 out of 5 by sm2345 Party hotel
this is a party hotel which I understand.
However, I did ask for a quiet room before I arrived. the room I was given was noisy and i had to move. My last visit to this hotel the same thing happened. bloody annoying.
Otherwise I really like the hotel. The guys who work as porters are truly excellent. They dont really recognise me because sometimes I have a beard and sometimes I dont. I recognise them however and they are excellent.
Other front desk staff are excellent also. they are probably the reaon i keep coming back.
You should have room assignment based on whether people are in Bangkok for partying or business.
Also, the breakfast is bloody excellent too. I really enjoy it. Tasty simple and healthy . the chef and breakfast staff should be complimented on this.

Rated 2 out of 5 by SPAZ Not a hotel for when you're on Business
The only thing going for this Hotel is it's location rest everything is dismal.
If you need a hotel car, you need to inform them 3hrs in advance, which can be inconvinient if you're stuck somewhere and in need of transport (like it happened to me).

Rated 2 out of 5 Think twice before staying here
As a platinum member I might be a bit picky. No upgrades, no club lounge, no breakfast, very little staff help. If you are an SPG member you have better options in BKK.The best service I got was the free tuk-tuk to another SPG hotel.
ON THE POSITIVE SIDE. The place is trendy and fun and reasonable priced. If you are a non-SPG member it is worth the stay.

Rated 1 out of 5 by jll888 Disappointed
This is the 2nd time we visited Bangkok, and since we had stayed in another 3 starwood properties in the same area, so we decided to give a try in Aloft. However, our 2 nights stay in Aloft was disappointing.
1. No upgrade for Platinum member. We have been told by the reception that there is no upgrade for Platinum member in any Aloft and Element brand. So, no upgrade, no Club Lounge access, no free breakfast unless you choose breakfast as the welcome amenity instead of points.
2. Shuttle service. Although they do provide tuk tuk service, but in our 2 night stays in Aloft, we never seen any Aloft tuk tuk at all. Even the concierge staff also not sure when will the tuk tuk available, so we have to walk by our own.
3. No help offered by the concierge team. We walked from Nana BTS to Aloft which located deep into Soi 11, and there are many levels at the hotel entrance, yet no one came and offer a helping hand, we have to carry all our luggage by our own.
And no one came and offer any assistance while they saw us waiting at the entrance, even they were free at that time (they were "busy" chit chatting I think). In any other hotels, staff would always approach and ask whether we need any taxi or any assistance, but not in this hotel. I have to approach the staff to get information.
If you are non-member and don't mind to walk for some distance, then you may choose Aloft. Otherwise pick another SPG property in Bangkok.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Razzou Good Value; can be fit-for-purpose
Comfortable room, in design and function; but small and lacks the all-important ... bath-tub!!!
Many nice touches, like the pool table in a Lobby section. I couldn't operate the Wii-like video game; reckon has to do with my mid-age.
Prepare to do some walking - the hotel is deep into Soi 11 from Sukumuvit and the three levels of stairs to negotiate at hotel entrance when you return can be daunting; age again? Well, nice night-clubs around (hotel provided free access to one) ... for the youngesters.
All staff I interacted with can benefit from a better ability to speak English in a comprehendible manner - particularly receptionists.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Phuket2014 Don't go there !
The room was smelly and run down., Lack of maintenance could be seen everywhere, even the door of the wardrobe was taken away. The worst : no world cup coverage in the room ! I expected a decent 4 star hotel when booking with that high rate.

I have been here a few times and I must say the experience I had was just fabulous. The team has a high level of tolerance, that I salute you even tho some guest can be really ridiculous in their demands.
No doubt I will return again – but this time without any fuss as you have proven to be consistent in your services.
I would like to suggest that improvement opportunity should be provided towards your breakfast selection. I tend to see the exact food each morning.
You did well. Bravo.

Rated 3 out of 5 by theworldtraveler Overall Good Hotel
This is the lowest cost SPG Hotel in Bangkok. I had not stayed here as it is new and wanted to try it out. The rooms were nice and clean, fast internet and friendly staff.
As a SPG Platinum Member, you dont get the upgrades like with other hotels.
With the new platinum choice, they are no longer offering a drink a day. I picked the breakfast and while OK, nothing to write home about.
If I were younger, did not have any status with SPG and wanted a place to sleep, this would be the place. But for one wanting the extras as a SPG Platinum member, there are more choices in Bangkok.
No upgrade for Plats
No 'free' Breakfast outside of the Platinum Choice
No more 'free' Drinks
Far walk from the Station
Yes, they do have a Tuk Tuk but it is one way. Other hotels in the area have a Tuk Tuk that waits at the end of the street (check out Soi 8/10 and you see them). This is a busy street.
As for the 'free' Drinks. My email a few days earlier stated I would be getting the drinks but when I arrived they said they no longer do that. They should have honored what the wrote.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Grumpy2012 Another good stay
Stayed february 2013.
This was my 4th or 5th stay i think. Trendy, hip hotel in a central area. Don't think my parents would have liked it cos of the young vibe.
Gym is still below average. Pool area small but good. Food and minibar rices are reasonable for a hotel.
This time i noticed if you arrive home late a big crowd from the night club is hanging outside the hotel entrance. Maybe not so good..
Also had issues with the taxi when i was going to the airport. Some kinda deals going on between the bell boys and taxi drivers? If so, not good at all!
All in all i enjoyed my stay and will return.
