Great hotel for a great price! Located across from Bed Supper Club but you'll probably never go since the club at the hotel is packed on the weekends. Plenty to look at. Soi 11 is also full of great places to eat, from a cheap street vendor to a Japanese Kobe steak house. Only drawback is the Soi is very crowded and popular, so there's a ton of traffic going in and out. BTS is just outside the Soi so very convenient. Tuk tuk shuttle will drive you there or to the MRT (by Terminal 21) mall for free. Pool is small but you won't be spending much time there anyways!

Rated 2 out of 5 by Richie A little disappointed
The room setting is nice but the curtains measurement cannot cover the whole n strong sunlight leaking in. Very bad this curtain facing the bed directly. I couldnt sleep longer hours n i got quite annoyed. As i m a business traveller n slept late because of dinner and meeting appointment. The light in my room was flashing occasionally like a haunted room! Last tne worst, the bed linens, pillows....all were very soaked up with humid / moist. Not dried up yet, very uncomfortable the whole nite. Service from front desk staff, Ake , he was nice and very helpful.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Kidcameron This hotel fell below my expectations
Upon check in we were told that they did not recognize my Platum membership status for a room upgrade.
The room we were giving was musty in smell along with a strong mold smell. Of all the rooms we have booked on this Asia trip (all SPG) this room and hotel was below average.
I was charged for the mini bar twice. I did not have time at checkout to discuss this discrepancy and accepted the charge. I should have been charged for one water and one beverage - not two.
At checkout I was also told I would have to pay and extra charge for damage to a bed sheet. I did spill a bit of coffee onto the sheet and that was an accedent. However this was a small spill that any washing would have removed the problem. I was very supprized that I was told I would have to buy new sheets for the room. Of all the years I have booked rooms in SPG I have never had damage. This was a lot to go over when checking out of a hotel for an international flight. Again I thought that the hotel should have reached out to me to discuss and not drop this information at checkout.
Staff was not helpful when I asked for details and explanation of room charges. Again I did not have time to discuss the overhead.

Rated 4 out of 5 by kamily57 Blackout curtains
The hotel has become a firm favourite for my frequent in-and-out stays in Bangkok lately. It offers great value and a more-than-satisfactory overall experience. The only drawback in the city rooms are the blackout curtains which are way too short and will awaken one at the break of light. So if you are not an early riser like me this becomes an irritating problem. The orientation of the bed which directly faces the windows compounds the problem. This hotel has the urban vibe feel to it and is conveniently located and a short stroll away from the skytrain.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Marsh Hotel is in a good location
Overall I like this hotel. I have stayed at it many times now since they opened and was very pleased in the begining. However my last few stays were not so pleasent. The tv (movie channels) have been very distorted the last two stays. I reported to the front desk yet it took weeks to fix. The last two rooms I stayed in had a broken coffee maker. There seems to always be construction which is odd for such a new hotel.
I am still going to stay at this hotel in the future assuming it doesn't get any worse, but I really wish they had a SPG check in line.

Rated 5 out of 5 by maxmocca A Gr8 stay in Alof Hotel
My family was so pleased with the services rendered by the diligent staff, the cleanliness and well-maintained facilties of the hotel. We thought that the hotel is indeed considerate to provide sufficient entertainment and necessary facilities to cater for both adults and children, that's something gr8 to experience. My family enjoyed games at the pool table and table soccer and cool chill out breakfast at "Crave".
Just a little feedback and suggestions :
1) The bathroom exhaust could have been better as there was a stench after each use.
2) Should include cotton buds in bathroom.
3) Consider to provide the Tuk Tuk services from Nana station back to hotel say every hourly, could end at 11pm.
Staff of Alof Sukhumvit - Cheerio, keep up the good work.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Louis2012 Aloft delights by its contemporary and trendy style, location and friendly service
It was the first time for me staying with Aloft and it met all my expectations. The location is perfect, in Sukhumvit Soy 11, if you are seeking for nightlife because everything is in walking distance. The rooms are very clean ( compliment to the housekeeping department) and trendy. The service is professional and friendly. ´The "crave" restaurant in the 8th floor is amazing and the service is perfect. Again I want to thank the whole team to make my stay a memorable one and I will definetely come back to Aloft Bangkok. Best regards and THANK YOU !

Rated 4 out of 5 by Askzia Comfort Room & excellent facility
At the first glance I said to my self the hotel seems to be out of my expectation, when entering the room and found it how it was suiting me and my family I then relaxed and said it is one of the best family hotel I ever stayed in.
One thing I would mention, the internet service is now of no cost, providing this for free is cost nothing and make the customer staisfied and calm. One thing I was looking to see but no chance was the swimming pool.
At the end, i have one question: why i did not find cheeder cheese in breakfast buffet?

Liked the facilities and staff. However, the carpet in the room was stained as well as the counter in the bathroom. Nasty feel when you entered the room. Staff said they had tried to remove the stains but were unable to do it.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Kimboli status recognition
I turned up today to check in after a fast car ride from Rayong in just under three hours, two days ago I had received an email from SPG to say that since me initial enrollment date in 1999 I had finally reached Platinium status, so I was waiting in excited anticipation for my arrival at Aloft for the second time this week and the result was Bop bow, not record or recognition of my newly gained status at all, I normally get more fan fair for my gold status as well, BUT THIS TIME NOT EVEN A BANANNA.- disappointed

Rated 3 out of 5 by Himey27 Okay not great!
The AC was not cold enough. We couldn't keep the blankets on for more than 5minutes.
Towels were torn at ends. I had stayed at SPG Luxury Collection Resort just before my stay in Aloft and there was a HUGE difference between the service. The maids never folded our clothes or fixed our stuff, didn't wipe the shower after we left it wet from showering. The rooms are a bit too small..

Rated 4 out of 5 by tfong010 Nice trendy hotel in the heat of the action.
New and hip hotel in a very exciting part of Bangkok. Across the street from Bed Supper club. Check in was slow but the staff were polite and professional. The room was modern and clean but lacked hot water in the shower. As a Platinum Starwood guest the only benefits received at an Aloft property was 250 points and free internet.
The hotel is in a good location and the rooms are trendy. However, as a Starwood platinum I cannot recommend this hotel to another plat as there are many better choices in Bangkok that appreciate platinum guests.

Rated 3 out of 5 by cpahongkong Good hotel at reasonable price
The hotel is nice and the staff is very friendly. It would help if the level of spoken English was higher. It is also relatively close to a station linking the city to the airport, but their complimentary transportation doesn't take guests there, I wonder why.

Rated 5 out of 5 by KosraeTV Over 75 nights this year at Aloft
Due to some work issues I just passed over 75 nights this year alone in the new Aloft on Soi 11. My first stay was shaky due to the opening settling in period but since then I have seen this hotel and staff far exceed my expectations. The room is a basic room however besides a clean comfortable bed, good internet, a nice bathroom I do not require much else. The rooms far exceed traveler's needs but the key to this hotel is how the staff has grown and provide service to the guests. Not just me as a frequent guest I've seen them bend over backwards for every client that walks through their doors. It is remarkable the level of improvement and service they provide now. I highly recommend this hotel for comfort, service, and it is an excellent value.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Phiby Some thoughts on service
Overall, the hotel was good value for money, and think the staff were pretty good and attentive to needs. During busy check -in / check -out time, I suppose it would help to have more staff to assist with faster clearance, despite the option of express check out.
As for the booking online, there was no indication about smoking / non-smoking on the room selection, and understandably during the heavy period there was little chance to swap room at all. Corridor smells great, but room definitely smells smoke - despite being non smoking guests.
As for Ice bucket - good idea, but perhaps would be better if they're left at re-charge area for guests to pick up instead of going up and down for guests to re-fill, which can then be cleared by housekeeping?

Rated 2 out of 5 by Rugbychieftain This hotel needs improvement and more staff training
I am a platinum member of SPG so I have a reasonable idea of what is expected in levels of service etc. This was my first stay and frankly my last. The rooms were average but need refurbishment as they look tired. Even basic info on the hotel's services is limited. I asked for a hotel directory of services and it took 15 minutes for me to be told that there isn't one. When I asked how the hotel expected me to find out opening times of bar & restaurants, business centre and other services I did not get an answer from the "ask anything anytime" operator. The biggest disappointment was when I tried to amend my booking. Despite the fact that I asked if it was possible at check in and again the following morning by afternoon it became impossible when it suddenly became apparent to the staff they were fully booked. The duty manager was not at all helpful and lacked any grace or courtesy. In fact I a quite surprised they asked me to review my stay as they were in no doubt of my displeasure. All of the above points to an inadequately trained staff and a lack of leadership. If your staying for holiday I guess it would be passable but for business I would advise you to stay elsewhere

Rated 4 out of 5 by jakeylow Awesome breakaway with family
My family and I had a great time staying at Aloft Bangkok for the past few days. The staff there makes us feel like a real Platinum, ensuring all our needs are fulfill and making us feel at home.
Special thanks to Art from front desk/ concierge who is outstanding on helping us out with our travel arrangement, making sure everything is on time and ensuring our family is comfortable always. He is one of the most outstanding hotel staff I ever encounter in Thailand. To Aloft Bangkok, he is truly a keeper! Send my thanks to him again.

Great overall hotel. Its a perfect balance of what you need and what you don't.
Staff overall - Especially Perm at the front Desk
Location - if you want to be in the action, this is the place
Pool - great pool area
Value - there are a lot of different promotions and deals going on.
- our room smelled like mold, Maybe it just needs to be aired out
- the refuel seemed to advertise promotions but when you actually ordered them they were very confused and just charged you the full price until you corrected them.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Mike666 A Cool Place to stay in Bangkok
I stayed in Aloft for 2 nights in Bangkok. The hotel is still new and the staffs are friendly with smile always.
Although the pool is small but enough for relax after a whole day tour in the city. A small suggestion : if the pool and the gym can be 24 hours open then will be more user friendly :)
The breakfast is tasty and the design of the dining area can let people enjoy the sunlight and have a great mood.
I will recommend for the higher floor room because can have some city view and brighter room when the drapes are open.

Rated 3 out of 5 by AHan14 Confused place
1. Was told my original booking was not valid and charged me pretty much the same price for 1 room instead of two (they threw in breakfast). So the family of 4 was cramped into a "double" room.
2. Left phone charger behind, asked to forward to koh Samui, it never came (we were there for a week). Made a last ditch attempt to have it sent to the airport hotel ... Never arrived. Even though I gave them my card details twice!!!
Terrible service will never stay there again and advise all my friends and family to avoid the place!

Rated 5 out of 5 by Prchunter Great Hotel for some work and fun
Great room, love the 24 hour gym, and internet connectivity throughout the hotel. Locationwise, it's not the best, but it's up there in terms of convenience tucked at the far end of soi 11. Two small complaints, the first is that wifi signal was not that strong inside the rooms, varying between 0-3 bars (out of five) and the power would sometimes shutdown briefly(probably has to do with the sensor for the hotel key breaking down), nothing that can't be fixed.
If breakfast was cheaper, this hotel would be perfect.

Rated 5 out of 5 by jpbernet Stylish hotel in great location
While I already had heard many good things about Aloft, I wanted to try it myself once. The upgrade deal for around 6000 Baht was great value for money, although I actually never used the living room. The bathroom is great, specially the huge rainshower. The bed is very comfortable and TV has a good choice of channels including many in English. The best feature was enough multinational plugs at the desk and your bedside to plug in two phones, your notebook and your tablet!
Also thinking through the light switches and having the master switch right beside the bed was great! The grab and go bar offered good value for money.
THE place to be was definitely the in house club. It was full on a Wednesday evening which is a good sign and had a good mix between locals and tourists.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Rman One of the best hotels I've ever been to.
Very neat and clean rooms with plenty of space for bags and also spacious and spotless bathroom.
Room service was excellent.
Never had any issues and loved the complimentary items like water and soap.
Wifi worked well and downstairs facilities like pool table, foosball table and playstation move were awesome.
Everything was better than I expected.
Only issue was for some reason my mobile took very long time to charge.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Traveller74 Perfect for a night stop
Stayed here on a single night stopover on the way to Australia. The staff were efficient and courteous without being over-friendly. The room was large and comfortable, perfect for a stopover. Bed was great. Bathroom area was huge. I ate at the restaurant which was fine as well. Good service, quick and efficient. If I needed a comfortable room for a stopover again I wouldn't hesitate. If I was staying longer, and on holiday, I'd probably look for something a bit more luxurious in the SPG family.

Rated 5 out of 5 by osar this hotel met my needs
It was a wonderful stay in aloft hotel, those three nights were some thing i will never forget . Every thing was great , the space of the room was excellent , the bath room also the same. One thing i would like to notice about which is the bath towel it is small and not soft and not match the luxury features of the hotel but overall the hotel is excellent and i will stay in it in my next visit to Bangkok for sure.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Chance Pool cue
This is my third visit since the hotel opened and I'm confused about why the pool cue's never have felt tips. It makes playing the game almost impossible and I'm wondering what the point is in having a pool table if you are not going to provide decent pool cues. I mean it's not a difficult thing to fix, so is this by design?
Interested in hearing from the GM on this. The front line staff doesn't seem to have a clue so they just smile and tell me they will have engineering look into it.
