Rated 3 out of 5 by This hotel is in a perfect location Nice and very clean hotel located in the center of the city. The hotel has a beautiful river view. The hotel side door is connected to the River Walk with a nice outside area. The hotels's isolation is very poor, you can hear the street traffic, as well as, the noise from the hallways. The staff was just ok as they tried to be more cool then helpful. I would not recommend the pool or the workout are. If you are a runner, the River Walk is a better alternative. July 5, 2013
Rated 3 out of 5 by Not a great nights sleep I really don't need much from a hotel room. The ability to check in, sleep, and get out in the morning are my requirements. The hotel is going for a "hip" vibe, but due to the cheap quality of furnishings, it ends up looking tired. The mattress is on a platform foundation, however the mattress used clearly needed a box spring. Also, the sheets weren't long enough for the mattress and kept coming off the bed. Pretty disgusting. The hotel is situated on a noisy street, and you can hear the street noise, if that's not bad enough, the a/c runs every few minutes. The shades do not make the room dark, light comes in from all around. All that is needed is a few curtains around the borders. The check in took half an hour - there was one person at the desk to care for all the people purchasing food/drink items, answer phones, and check people in. So disorganized. I wouldn't stay here again. July 28, 2014

From the personalized/warm welcome upon arrival, to our in-room anniversary sweets - we were thrilled with everything! Rated 4 out of 5 by This hotel was great for our stay Our stay at the Aloft in Milwaukee served our needs just fine for a weekend getaway. It was so conveniently located to the areas of the city that we love best, and in walking distance to other great areas too. The rooms were comfortable, minus the construction noise, which we understand is temporary. But, overall the room served our needs just fine. It was clean and the staff was friendly. Also loved the little cafe area! We would definitely stay again. August 1, 2012
Rated 4 out of 5 by February visit One issue I had with your hotel was that the walls/doors are thin and/or not well insulated. As a result, it was very hard to sleep because of other guests on our floor that were VERY loud between the hours of 2:30 - 4:00 a.m. Every door slams shut. Surely there has to be a way to adjust the doors so they close more slowly and don't slam. In addition, I was not a fan of the sliding bathroom door that did not provide privacy to use the toilet. Rated 4 out of 5 by Aloft Milwaukee The gal that checked us in at 3 PM on July 4, sorry don't remember her name, was mpre than great - she was the best. Went above and beyond expectations! Only place to complain was the "doggie walking area" - there were no Bags to remove the dog waste like other pet friendly hotels and we had to ask for them. Other guest did not do the same and we had to watch carefully that we did not step in other's dog mess! Otherwise, the stay was great. July 12, 2012
Rated 3 out of 5 by Incorrect Bed Sheets This is my first time staying at an Aloft hotel. We went to go to sleep and realized there was an attempt to fit a Queen size fitted sheet to a King size bed (obviously it didn't fit). We called the hotel staff and they immediately came up and replaced all the sheets. Then, while sleeping, I couldn't help but take in the smell of McDonald's french fries on the pillow. Rated 1 out of 5 by worst SPG experience to date I am a platinum SPG member and travel quite often for business. No self parking available on site, staff didn't recognize my status on checkin and didn't upgrade despite the hotel being nearly empty during my stay. The bed felt like cardboard as did the pillows. The heater in the room was loud and distracting. The walls are paper thin and could hear everything in neighboring rooms. My wake up call was non-existant/forgotten. December 23, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Amazing Hotel I am always impressed with aloft hotels and really enjoyed my stay in Milwaukee. The hotel has a great feel and welcoming environment. My only suggestion would be that the hotel staff be clearer on what is included when you choose the package that includes 1/2 off Valet. They don't say that you pay extra and then still have to pay 1/2 the valet parking. Other than that I was very impressed and the staff was very nice! August 2, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Hotel The Hotel was great. It's decor was modern and fun. The room was set up very nicely with plugs at both nightstands that helped charging our phones convenient and easy. The a/c was easy to control and kept the room at a comfortable temperature. The shower had great flow and was nice and clean. August 11, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Awesome Weekend My Friend and I were Very Very impressed and Happy with Every aspect of our stay at the Aloft! The staff was very Friendly, Rooms Neat and Clean, in room coffee was very good. The Valet's were very helpful. The only thing that we would have found helpful is if there were more places to hang things such as towels so they could dry. but very pleased would definitely stay there again Highly recommend. Rated 3 out of 5 by Great hotel location, dining options need improving This was my first experience staying at an Aloft property and the reviews for staff attentiveness were accurate. Nate (Valet Services) went above the call of duty to accommodate. The food however was not impressive at all!!!!!!! The breakfast selections were subpar. The hot breakfast options were pre made and not appetizing to say the least. Business travelers such as myself typically require a hot breakfast with nutritious protein items to sustain us during a long day of travel and meetings. Aloft did not deliver on that front. The evening selections at the bar were processed and not nutritious at all. Because of this, I will not be returning to this or any Aloft properties. As a Starwood Platinum member, this is disappointing because the location of this hotel is ideal for me – rooms were very comfortable however, the lack of satisfactory dining options were lacking. Rated 3 out of 5 by Not worth the money We called ahead to request an early check in around 2 PM...They said the earliest they could accommodate was 2:30. We arranged our schedule and ended up not showing up to check in until 4 PM, and the room was STILL not ready. Then at check in the girl handed me our room keys with no explanation of how to get to the room. I had to ask and then it seemed like it was an inconvenience for her to tell me. The layout of the room was very cramped, and the rolling closet style bathroom door doesn't even close all the way. The 24 hour pool was nice, but we were scolded like children when we didn't have shoes on to walk to the pool and were told that absolutely no beverages were allowed in the pool area, then on our way back up to the room, a group of people walked past all wearing no shoes and nothing was said to them. The valet guys were probably the most helpful employees there. June 18, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Couple of drawbacks One, the hotel room was not cleaned adequately each day - towels, amenities [soap and toilet paper] were scarce, almost like they were being rationed. There needed to be an option on the A/C, furnace setting such that a constant room fan could be running, as the rooms walls were paper thin, and "white noise" needed to be present to shut out the noise in the hallways. Poor service As a Starwood Platinum member I stay at many Starwood properties and besides the Miami Four Points this is the second worst hotel in the stable. I arrived at 3/pm on a Saturday. There was a line out the door to check-in and only one person at the desk. No recognition for Platinum status. The rooms are small. The biggest problem is there is poor sound proofing as it is next to highway and neat many bars and night clubs I stayed on the fifth floor and could not sleep from the banging of drums and the sounds of cars. Even worse is I like Harley's, and Milwaukee has many. I just do not need the HOG sound in my room. And car hors. I came for a business meeting and could not sleep well with all the noise. When I called the grin t desk, no one answered, When I down to the desk, no was there. The pool is a joke as it is for toddlers and that is who were in it. I went o too the bar and did not see the bartender. Very bad reflection for the SPG brand and worse for the guest. K will certainty have this low on my list. August 10, 2014
Rated 3 out of 5 by Noisy Liked the hotel w/the exception of not being able to sleep due to the noise. Our room faced the river and every time a car drove over the bridge we would hear it- the wheels hitting the metal grate. Not a problem until trying to sleep. Additionally, our room wasn't cleaned during our stay. We came back to the room at about 5pm to shower & freshen up and it was at that time the maid service came to clean. February 22, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Excellent Customer Service We cannot say enough about our wonderful stay at aloft this weekend. Having had surgery on both my feet recently, and unable to do much walking, I can't praise the Valet service enough!! They were awesome and got us where we needed to be in a seconds notice. They went above and beyond and we were very thankful!! The entire staff was very friendly and accommodating. Great place, we will be back!! March 24, 2014
Rated 3 out of 5 by Noisy location I wondered why sleep aid packages were offered upon check-in until the evening hours when the noise and vibrations from nearby bars made me feel as if I were in a tent on the sidewalk. Conversations within the hotel were easily heard in the hallway -- thin walls? The hotel property is lovely, rooms comfortable, excellent staff, but due the noise, I am unlikely to stay at this hotel again. March 24, 2014
Rated 2 out of 5 by Modern but cheap This hotel looks cool when you walk in. It's got funky pop mural, and a fun vibe about it. However, you get up to the rooms and the 'nice / cool' vibe kinda stops. The room was minimal to say the least and so many of the features just screamed 'cheap'. One desk chair is the only other place to sit besides the bed and the TV, while nice and big, doesn't move nor can it be adjusted. So if you want to sit at the desk to watch TV you can't. The room was sparse, no decorations and while I appreciated the modern bathroom, the dispensers in the shower said, 'Hey, I'm in the locker room at the gym". This really is a hotel where you expect to come in and do NOTHING but sleep, shower and change. This is not a great space to come back to after a long day of working or a conference to relax in. I will say that one of the best things about the hotel was the staff. The staff are extremely nice and helpful. October 18, 2013
Rated 2 out of 5 by Room is nice and thats it. Felt like no one knew what was going on. We received multiple answers constantly and I still don't know what I am really being charged for because they gave me 3 different amounts. Granted i have a receipt now and it was more than they stated. I had a few other issues with things but the room itself was nice and quiet. I will not be staying at the aloft in downtown Milwaukee ever again. January 13, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Good Service When our trip brought us to Milwaukee one day early, we called and booked an extra day at the Aloft. Our room for that night was not up to the usual standards and the staff made sure we were better accommodated for the rest of our stay. Because of such kind and attentive service, we will stay again at Aloft Milwaukee. July 13, 2014
Rated 2 out of 5 by Pretty facade, leaves a bit to be desired The hotel is very stylish, which is nice, but it doesn't make up for the fact that the food was lackluster at best - really sub-par for the meetings we held there. The meeting facilities in general are ok, but nothing special. The rooms again are very stylish, but the bed was as hard as a rock. July 23, 2014

Only problem is my car was returned to me from valet with a large gash in the leather part of my steering wheel. It is several inches long and ragged, basically ruining the steering wheel of my Cadillac. July 22, 2014
Rated 2 out of 5 by Hotel needs refurbishing We have stayed at this hotel several times since it opened. Previous visits were very good. Our current stay was very disappointing. The carpeting in the rooms are dirty and need replacing. Although the staff was helpful, they had to change our room twice because of unacceptable conditions. We would not stay there again unless the hotel makes big changes. May 26, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Great Location! Great staff! We were in town for a wedding. The staff at this hotel was wonderful from the first phone call regarding reservations all the way through check out. The staff was friendly and helpful. The valets, the desk staff and the housekeeping staff were always there to help with any questions or needs. I will definitely book this hotel again when visiting family in the area! September 16, 2013
Rated 3 out of 5 by Nice Facility, Poor Construction The stay started out great until the guests in the rooms next to us and across from us came back. We could hear every single word they said and everything they did at 2 and 4am waking us up both times. I would recommend asking for a room with NO one across the hall and no one in the room next to you. I don't plan on returning and wished I wouldn't have stayed. October 28, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Best Pet Hotel in Milwaukee! Excelent hotel with a great location. The decor is very fun and vibrant. If you are traveling with your pet you will find no better hotel in Milwaukee. They really do cater for pets .... included in the stay you get a dog bed, treats, waater and food bowl... and all at no extra charge. The staff are very outgoing and friendly too! Rated 4 out of 5 by Generally Nice Hotel The hotel was clean and most things seemed pretty up to date. The rooms were somewhat average. The air conditioning in the conference room was from one extreme to the other so it seemed hard for them to control. Hotel staff was very friendly and attentative. July 18, 2014
