Rated 5 out of 5 by Elephantdung My Stay at ALOFT - National Harbor
Our stay at the ALOFT National Harbor was EXCELLENT, and I have already recommended the hotel to two friends planning their trips to the DC area. The staff was great. Their attention to detail regarding our needs and specifics for first time visitors to DC was invaluable. We had limited time to see all that we wanted and the ALOFT staff was key in our accomplishing all we wished for.
The room as great. It felt very much like a comfortable condominium. We felt at home. Great views, and very contemporary amenities. The gym was great, and the breakfast food was ideal.
The staff recommendation for surrounding restaurants and bars were great. We truly enjoyed every facet of our stay, and we WILL return soon.

Rated 5 out of 5 by starbar5 Great hotel, fantastic staff, unbeatable value.
The staff are friendly and knowledgeable, going out of the way to take care of guests. Our room was perfectly suited for a 5-night stay for convention nearby. Beds are comfortable, plenty of comfy pillows, clean with modern minimalist furnishings. The continental breakfast selection is better than most higher priced hotels. The help yourself food and snack area is a great idea and well executed with well stocked foods for any time of day.

Rated 5 out of 5 by GNM1921 AMAZING SERVICE FROM MARVIN!
My girlfriend and I stayed overnight at Aloft National Harbor for a work event sponsored by my company. We found the hotel to be clean, modern, convenient and easy to access. Our room was well stocked and comfortable. The parking in the garage next door was a challenge because it was a beautiful Saturday and many people were visiting the area. Also, our room didn't have much of a view, mainly of the parking garage (our arch nemesis) across the street. We were't there for the view though, so we didn't mind. What MADE our experience was the front desk concierge, Marvin. This guy was friendly, professional, helpful and didn't make us feel like we were just a number, or try to hustle us through the check in/out process. We will definitely be back to this Aloft and hope Marvin is there to help us out again next time.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Karen927 Great location
This was our second stay at the Aloft National Harbor for our bi-annual girls trip. We love staying at this hotel because of its location and staff. There are many great restaurants and shops and some great bars with good entertainment for the night life, all within walking distance. There is also a free shuttle that will take you to the closest Metro station where you can hop on the train with stops/transfers to many of the sites Washington DC is known for. As for the staff at the Aloft, they are amazing. They are always friendly and willing to assist with any questions you may have. Marvin, especially, is very personable and will give you great recommendations for restaurants based on what your taste is.

My room was very clean & spacious the staff was very friendly and eager to help my & my best friends needs! This hotel added greatly to my weekend experience! I will definitely be back at the ALOFT for my future trips while enjoying National Harbor!

I surprised my husband with an overnight getaway.I easily booked online, loved the alacart options for booking & loved the option for a breakfast upgrade. We checked in & Marvin was very friendly & helpful.Even with a full lobby of guests,he gave us his undivided attention & even told us about the SPG program & offered us 2 complimentary drinks at the bar if we wanted to sign up. He even accommodated us by giving us a higher level room so we had a view of the water even though we didn't have the "water view" room. He was very friendly and made our first impression of the hotel great. Our room was perfect. Clean & all the necessities of home. We loved the modern feel. The bed was comfy and the black out shades allowed us to sleep in the next morning. The hotel bar was nice..lots of local beers to choose from & full stocked bar. The bartender gave us a recommendation of foods at Rosa Mexicana, literally across the street for dinner. The hotel is in the PERFECT location for walking to nightlife, restaurants, water front. The parking garage is steps away and costs $13 for 24 hrs. We watched the sunset sitting on the rooftop deck of the wxyz lounge at the hotel before walking across the street to Rosa Mexicana where we enjoyed an amazing dinner. The table side guacamole is sinful. After dinner we walked up to Bobby McKey's piano bar where we laughed, sang and enjoyed the dueling pianos. A must go to spot! We returned to the hotel where the lobby and bar where hopping! Our room was very quiet and we slept well on the comfy beds. Breakfast was delicious. You can walk up and order a breakfast sandwich and then there are many alacart items to go with it. Lots of options and it was really yummy. It was such a GREAT little getaway and we can't wait to go back!

I was looking for a room for my son and a friend who was visiting the WDC area. Hotel exceeded my expectations. The lobby and decor was very modern along with the actual room accommodations. Marvin who checked us in was extremely friendly and knowledgeable of the area and allowed us to check in early as they had just arrived with their luggage. They were able to utilize the next door parking which was a discount for guests of the hotel.

I've never stayed at a hotel that meet every one of my expectations. From making sure my discount was applied correctly. The service was great. I was meet with a great smile. All the amenities were explained to me in great detail. I love the entire atmosphere of the hotel and room. It wasn't teh 5 star $1000 a nite experience but I loved every bit of it. The staff the setting, the decor was exactly what I needed. I would highly recommend the hotel and I will go back. Even like the fact that I could just hang out in the lounge area with a bar right at my fingertips and not have to go anywhere if I didnt want.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Pearline Execellent Place to stay
The Aloft Hotel is a very nice up to date chic place to stay. It was made for the young at heart do to the loud music in the lobby and all the young faces at the bar area. But there is alot to do around the hotel for every age limit.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Nita2014 Hotel with great location and features
Katrina and Marvin were wonderful! They recommended places for me to eat, made sure I was comfortable. I can't think of the gentleman's name that worked the bar but he is from LA. He was great also! My room was very retro, quaint, with a beautiful view of the harbor. There is plenty of lounge area, pool table, and quick food/snacks to go.
The hotel is conveniently located by shops within walking distance and the Tanger Outlet.

Rated 3 out of 5 by mjll aloft national harbor
The hotel was clean and new but my room already showed some peeling wallpaper and worm carpet. The hotel has a clean modern look which is but is very plain. The floor in the lobby is concrete and the ventilation is exposed. The room has cubby holes and no drawers so storage in limited if you are there for more than a couple of days. The bed is on a platform with a thin mattress which I found very hard

I stayed in this hotel 2 years ago and was looking forward to staying in it again. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I ended up traveling alone instead of with a friend, and when I checked in, the front desk employee asked me if I wanted to upgrade to a room with a view of the harbor, because one was available. I did and the view was fabulous. The hotel is in a great location, and I look forward staying there in the future.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Latoya504 Great Location/horrible experience with staff
I'm a frequent traveler and had just left the National Harbor area two weeks prior to staying at the Aloft National Harbor. The staff was very rude and not willing to assist at all. The parking was not convenient and the room was not what I expected. I called the front desk for directions and was insulted and left on hold for 10 minutes. I finally gave up and received information and assistance from another surrounding hotel (where I stayed two weeks prior on a business trip). I plan on visiting the National Harbor again because the location is amazing and the surrounding stores and restaturants are excellent. I will not stay at the Aloft again. So Disappointed!!

I truly recommend this hotel only if you don't mind going out to get food, because there is no room service. It was very disappointing when I did not know that the hotel did not have room service, but overall this is a great place to stay.

Access is difficult,,,unloading/loading vehicle is cumbersome with no staff assistance available. Check In was excellent once we got there,,HUGE issue is only ONE working elevator the entire stay. An emergency would have been a nightmare.

Noisy fridge could not be repaired after request. Low quality, ill-fitting sheets. Fitness room too hot. Laundry not returned by promised time. Small room. Morning coffee comes out too late. Swim pool packed with kids on Saturday evening. Room not restocked with coffee until requested. Good wifi connection. Friendly staff. Attractive decor.

Rated 5 out of 5 by SFOOldtimer The hotel is consistent with other Aloft
Overall, we have great experience as anticipated; however, the friendliness and helpfulness of the front desk is not consistent. We had great help from some of the staff while others are not.
Free shuttle to the Metro Station is definitely a big Plus.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Beth This hotel met all my expectations
I attended Delta Days at the Nation's Capitol and reserved a room at the Aloft. The price of the room was very reasonable and had great amenities such as free internet, free bottled water, a refrigerator, oversized shower with luxurious body wash and shampoo, and what a beautiful view!! The bed was very confortable and everything that I needed was in the room. I was so busy that I didn't get to enjoy breakfast, the exercise room, pool or bar. Finally, while waiting on my ride, did I get to relax in the lounge area. I can't wait to come back in the Spring to enjoy the outdoor areas.

Although I have frequented the XXYZ bar several times, this was the first time I have ever stayed overnight at the hotel.
The room was functional and had plenty of room for all my electronics and my photography gear.
I want to personally thank Marvin and Nate the Bartender for going above and beyond my expectations in my first stay.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Libb The view was fabulous
One huge problem. The people staying in the room next to us from 12:00 to 3:00 AM were havcing a party and kept us up all night. They were talking loudly, high pitched voices and were probably drinking and didn't think about the other people in the adjoining room. I was going to call the front desk, but didnt' want the people knowing who made the call. My daughter and I were up most of the night. This was not the fault of the hotel,, but due to the people in the nextt room. Next time I stay there I will ask for a room that has an elderly couple staying next door.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Tres Staff was Amazing!
When I first walked into the hotel I knew it wasn't going to be my cup of tea. The facility was clean and the staff was friendly and efficient. The first thing we encountered was that the chlorine levels in the pool made it intolerable to swim. It burned your eyes standing outside the door to the pool. Next we had an issue with the shower only having really cold or scalding water. The staff got engineering there quickly and got it fixed within a couple of hours.
The biggest thing for me was the in room bathroom. The door had to be slid open and shut and ours wouldn't close all the way and was very heavy. When you are a family with kids this isn't a great option. It also didn't have a bathtub which was a pain because my younger one hates showers.

Rated 2 out of 5 by Auditor57 Disappointed
This was my first stay at an Aloft hotel and probably my last. The room was very small, too small actually. The carpet and chair both had stains. The water pressure in the shower was too low. A guest had to use two elevators to reach their room from the street level. The staff at check in totally disregarded the requests of our group to have rooms on the same floor.
On the bright side, the bed was fairly comfortable. The air conditioner worked well and was quiet. The location of the hotel was good also.
But the overall experience was very disappointing.

Upon our arrival there was dog poo at elevator on the first floor. Once we checked in we were told there was no breakfast included, but it was at the time the reservation was made. There was no complimentary anything for the amount of time we stayed. The TV kept loosing it's signal, on the second day our room was not cleaned until 5pm. The housekeeping staff did not understand much English. Our third day we did not get clean towels until 6:30pm after numerous request. The best part of the stay was the bartender.Disappointed in MD.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Steph88 Nice Hotel
I've stayed here twice and the first time was excellent. I have a few issues the second stay with a broken thermostat in my room and a bathroom door that would not stay closed, but the front desk quickly switched me to another room so all was well. Decent pricing, room is contemporary, clean, and overall comfortable. The bar in the lobby is a nice touch. Would stay here again.
