Rated 5 out of 5 by This hotel was the best pet friendly hotel I've ever seen. I really enjoyed my entire stay at this hotel the staff was great! Tiana was at the front desk and she was very nice. The rooms were fantastic. The view was awesome over looking the harbor. We had 5 rooms all together and everyone enjoyed themselves. May 3, 2013

Rated 4 out of 5 by Good value and location Located in the very center of National Harbor, the Aloft is a short walk from the Convention Center and any part of the town. My room had two queen size beds and large windows with a lot of light. Staff are friendly and the gym is well equipped. May 28, 2012
Rated 3 out of 5 by This Hotel Needs Some TLC I recently stayed at the Aloft Washington while attending a conference in the area. I believe that this probably was a great hotel and well worth the price...once upon a time. Today, it is unkept and in need of some TLC. There were stains on the carpet in the hallway and in my room. Unfortunately, I did not get a room with a great view. Instead, I received an interior room that looked out upon all of the rooms opposite mine and a parking garage. When I turned on my shower, the steam revealed that the glass shower door had not been cleaned properly. I'm hoping that it was only soap residue, but in some places it was hard to tell. Made me wonder about the sheets on the bed. The carpet in my room did not appear to have been vacuumed and the tile in the bathroom could have used a good scrubbing, particulary along the baseboard. There was actually a tile missing in a couple of areas along the floor. There were scratches on the headboard, didn't look like fingernails though. Overall, I would have prefered to spend the $209 a night somewhere else. November 20, 2012
Rated 2 out of 5 by This hotel lacks in features There was no map of the area at check-in. The pool was VERY small, not always with towels. Some of the breakfast items should have been free. The only bargain was tater tots. I joined the "green" program and had to go to desk to get vouchers. April 1, 2013
Rated 3 out of 5 by Not what we were hoping for We decided to go for a suite since the rate was better than rooms in other hotels nearby. Our room is in need of repairs. Walls have damage, door to deck won't lock (chain lock was broken). We'll stay at the competitor next time. November 2, 2013
Rated 2 out of 5 by The bed comfort is not good. I have stayed at another Aloft before and found the comfort of the bed acceptable. This stay was like sleeping on concrete. The bed was extremely uncomfortable and the pillows as well. On a positive note, everything else was excellent. March 15, 2013

Rated 4 out of 5 Good Room but noisy refrigerator and noisy heating unit I loved the atmosphere and the room was nice but the refrigerator was very noisy and the heating unit was loud. Rated 2 out of 5 by No Hot Water! I do not usually give negative reviews because I know how hard the hospitality industry can be. However, in this case I cannot hold back. People stay in hotels to have a place to sleep and wash while away from home, meeting life’s basic needs. When these needs are not met what good is a hotel? Two of the four days I spent at Aloft I did not have hot water. Showers were not enjoyable. When I brought this issue to the staff’s attention they gave me food vouchers to be used at your breakfast bar. What good is that when food is already provided to me through the convention that I was attending? Another issue that this brings to mind is that of equity. The other two people I was traveling with that also had the same hot water problem got their rooms for the two days for free. All I received was some food tickets, how is that fair? I am a staff developer for a high school and book a lot of travel for people. If this is the kind of service Starwood provides I cannot and will not use this company again. I want my people well taken care of and you did not take care of me on this trip. March 4, 2013

Rated 5 out of 5 by Perfect Romantic Getaway I surprised my husband with an overnight getaway.I easily booked online, loved the alacart options for booking & loved the option for a breakfast upgrade.We checked in & Marvin was very friendly & helpful.Even with a full lobby of guests,he gave us his undivided attention & even told us about the SPG program & offered us 2 complimentary drinks at the bar if we wanted to sign up. He even accommodated us by giving us a higher level room so we had a view of the water even though we didn't have the "water view" room. He was very friendly and made our first impression of the hotel great. Our room was perfect. Clean & all the necessities of home. We loved the modern feel. The bed was comfy and the black out shades allowed us to sleep in the next morning. The hotel bar was nice..lots of local beers to choose from & full stocked bar. The bartender gave us a recommendation of foods at Rosa Mexicana, literally across the street for dinner. The hotel is in the PERFECT location for walking to nightlife, restaurants, water front. The parking garage is steps away and costs $13 for 24 hrs. We watched the sunset sitting on the rooftop deck of the wxyz lounge at the hotel before walking across the street to Rosa Mexicana where we enjoyed an amazing dinner. The table side guacamole is sinful. After dinner we walked up to Bobby McKey's piano bar where we laughed, sang and enjoyed the dueling pianos. A must go to spot! We returned to the hotel where the lobby and bar where hopping! Our room was very quiet and we slept well on the comfy beds. Breakfast was delicious. You can walk up and order a breakfast sandwich and then there are many alacart items to go with it. Lots of options and it was really yummy. It was such a GREAT little getaway and we can't wait to go back! March 23, 2014
