I checked in on Monday Aug 4 to blasting music in the lobby. Music was played by the hotel, it was loud and very unprofessional. Yes there was a party going on, but the music level was an immediate turn off. Apparently you are a "pet friendly" hotel, but allow dogs to be left in their rooms alone and to bark. Not good. Next, I had a temperature sensitive box delivered to the hotel at 11:30am on 8/6. The front desk never made an attempt to notify me that there was a delivery for me. It wasn't until 9:30pm when I went to the desk to ask that they acknowledged they had it. It was chocolate covered strawberries for my birthday. Yes they had melted and were ruined. Thank you for that ! It clearly said Sherry's Berry's all over the box. Want more ? Rosean made arrangements for car pickup, that was fine. I waited out front for Sabina to pick me up at 9:30 on 8/7. She walked past me and went to front desk to ask about me, front desk said they didn't have my name or cell #. YOU DID ! Rosean texted me the confirmation the night before...In the meantime Sabina got a $25 ticket,,.,,you owe her $25..

Aloft does things a little differently than other hotels, in a good way. I loved the Grab and Go cafe. I was there on a business trip and didn't have time for restaurants or the cooked breakfast. It was great being able to grab a salad or fresh fruit on my way out the door (or ice cream at 10pm). I also liked the Green option to receive a voucher if I declined maid service. I prefer to not waste fresh towels and linens anyway, and the voucher paid for my breakfast every day. The unique decor felt upscale and more like a downtown apt than a hotel. The toiletries were nice, and the bed and room were very comfortable. Thoroughly enjoyed my visit!

Rated 4 out of 5 by JDPCDPLMP Nice hotel; good location; a little noisy
Was able to clearly hear a conversation coming from the room next door. A lot of street noise but it did seem to quiet down by midnight. The staff was very friendly. Parking is very convenient and seemed safe. The location was great--a nice change from hotels closer to DC center. The courtesy shuttle to King Street Metro Station was perfect---on time and is a must if you choose to stay at this hotel instead of one closer to the center of DC. The bed was a little uncomfortable. The hotel room décor was upscale. Large room. We stayed 3 nights here and 3 nights at a hotel in town. This hotel offered a change of pace---more relaxing area than closer to the city. Again, the shuttle to the Metro station makes this hotel doable for visiting DC. The National Harbor marina is a very nice setting.

The hotel is located in the middle of everything and you can easily walk to lots of restaurants or the harbor and convention center at the Gaylord. Checkin is on the second floor which at first is a little confusing to get to, but opens up to a nice lounge area, bar, and food area. The staff is great, everything in the room is fresh and clean. Rooms have mini fridge, iron, hair dryer, and coffee center. Bottled water was also provided. The floor also had a washer and dryer available for client use or a cleaning service if needed.

I travel Monday-Friday for work and most recently in the DMV area so as you can imagine that I've frequented quite a few hotels in the area. Since my stay this week at the Aloft, I've decided to make this hotel my home for the remainder of my time here.
The hotel was clean, my room was fully stocked, the staff was super friendly and the re:fuel lounge had a great breakfast sandwich. Not having a continental breakfast was a big deal at first, however with the room booking I had I was given $10 daily vouchers for food which pretty much took care of breakfast!
I also really enjoyed the bar/lounge area. It was very lively and yet a great place to wind down after a long day. I truly appreciate the young, minimalist, modern decor!
That being said, my only complaints are that:
1. The gym felt like a sauna, they had fans but that is NO substitution for A/C.
2. My bed didn't have a fitted sheet on it. They just put a regular sheet over a mattress pad which I had to keep adjusting because it wouldn't stay in place.
3. The parking garage at $13 a night is not an ideal place to park. I really do wish they had valet parking at that rate.
