Rated 5 out of 5 by Aloft Abudhabi My stay was more than wonderful hotel, where I found my comfort and good reception, and the cleanliness of the place, and the multiplicity of advantages room, and trims more than just a wonderful thing and I find no one was Hoz Rinse is where we as Arabs need for this thing in the bathroom. I've checked in at the Aloft abu dhabi on 22nd Nov(Fri). - Toilet flush was not working properly (Took 3 hours to fix) - Valet guy sent me back for the stamp even I had show him my room key. - My clothes were missing by mistake of the concierge guy. It was sent to the other room. The staff were not really helpful. Took more than 2 hours to find. I was late for my meeting because of the clothes. I couldn't hear any apology for those issues. Rated 3 out of 5 by OK for expo center Hotel is OK but be warned that if you want to eat a meal other than at the hotel it is a long taxi ride downtown. Same if you need to buy water or anything else for the room. No shops at all in the area. Aircon was too cold and could not be controlled. Rated 3 out of 5 by OK Hotel We had a quick visit to Abu Dhabi which unfortuantely coincided with the F1 which meant hotels near the business we were visiting were all sold out, with Aloft the only one available. The hotel was OK, although the floor I was on smelled of cigarette smoke (my room was fine). Bars were satisfactory, as was the breakfast areas. On checkout we had arranged an airport drop off with the hotel which failed to materialise so we took cabs instead. Next time we will stay in another hotel. November 7, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by best aloft i have stayed in.... just finished a 3 night stay here & i'm extremely impressed with this property.... used 3 suite nights to upgrade my stay & got a breezy suite....its basically one large room with a sitting area.... platinum members get free breakfast in addition to the 250 amenity points....breakfast has lots of hot & cold items to choose from & was one of the best i've had in a long time.... internet was fast & reliable....i was also able to log on with 4 devices without a problem.... had dinner at the maї café one night....great atmosphere & good food.... ordered room service twice & both times the food was delivered on time & was very good.... i didn't mind the location too much....its midway from the airport & the city so i was never more than 15-20 minutes away from where i needed to be.... at the end of the day this is the best aloft property i have stayed in & i would definitely stay here again when back in abu dhabi.... Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Hotel What a great find! This hotel was a last minute booking and we were expecting a run of the mill hotel. How wrong we were. It was fab! Great spacious room with very comfy bed, trendy bathroom and super pool area with lots of seating and sunbeds. Will return if we are in Abu Dhabi again. October 31, 2013

The waiters though busy were attentive & readily complied with your needs. The hotel should improve their spa facilities. Indoor huge jaccuzi pools would be ideal. October 25, 2013

I have been to many hotels but this was the first that to a 4 star hotel which did not have toothbrush, paste, bathroom slippers, shavin kit nothing was included in the room. Service also is very dissapointing..We had booked 2 rooms, one room they called and asked to vacate by 12.00 and other room they gave us till 1.00, we were ready by 1 and asked for bell boy that guy came at 2.00..when we asked for extension they just refused saying 12.00 need to check out...Checking in the hotel also took a lot of time when its EID holidays there should have been more staff to handle the rush. Overall a dissapointing stay for the price i paid. October 17, 2013

Rochelle spent a great deal of time helping me with some issues I had with my reservation and not being able to deal directly with my travel agent who had made my reservation. Rochelle's patience, determination to get things correct and extremely positive attitude so impressed me that I will definitely be back! AWESOME service .... way beyond the norm! October 11, 2013

Rated 4 out of 5 by Another very good experience with ALOFT! This is not our first stay at ALOFT. As expected the staff is the the master piece of the Hotel. They satisfied all our requests with a big smile and this is not new to this hotel that we elected as ours whenever we visit UAE. We felt however that the cleaning staff was not as professional as our first time but whenever we requested our room to be redone, they do immediately. I appreciate this professionalism. Parking issue at the hotel (you have to deliver your lugguage at main entrance the check in to get a parkin access card to multi storey car park , go down again to get the car an enter multi storey parking , and this time security sent me to a higher level with no reason provided the hotel designated parking is free, so it took me 45 min to check in after i handed my lugguage ) Room not clean when checking in (coffee spilled on carpet) house keeping not effective (cleaning cloth left at room, dining tray not removed , number of towels after cleaning not as before September 8, 2013

Rated 2 out of 5 by No wake-up call Although the room was top notch, construction on the facilities marred my overall view of them. Also a non-existent wake-up call almost caused me to miss my flight. Had I not woken up and checked the time, and had my flight not been delayed by 30 mins I would have missed it. For the room (and facilities without construction) I would highly recommend this hotel however the staff never seemed to be rushing to serve a customer, at one instance I was ignored by a receptionist not to mention me not receiving my wake-up call, a small issue but one that could have cost a lot. Rated 2 out of 5 by Hotel Needs Leadership Physically, the hotel is great. Nice rooms, nice facilities. Unfortunately the service is seriously lacking. Overall, the service problems indicate to me there is a lack of effective management. The people are nice enough, but no General Manager would ever let this sort of service go uncorrected. Examples: 1) Check-in. There was only one person available to check us in. There was a crowd of about 5 people waiting in front of me. However, there were 2 other people doing administrative work at the front desk who refused to not only check us in, but did not even explain why they ignored us. We stood there for 10-15 minutes while employee after employee walked by not saying a word about our wait. 2) Business Center is not functional. Yes, the screens are fancy and look nice. But no business person can use this. The browsers are infected with viruses, there is no copy machine, no fax machine, no color printer, no scanner. Its meant for facebook browsing, not business people. 3) Check-out: We were charged $1 for charity. That is great, love the initiative- but they never asked my permission! If you would just ask I would give you $10! I am sure this is some corporate competition to show how great Abu Dhabi Aloft is so they trick their guests into donating. 4) Check-out: Had to wait to check-out too. Plenty of staff, just everyone was busy tending to piles of paper instead of people. 5) No one ever offered to help with our luggage. The line level staff (especially the security guards and cleaners) were amazing! Friendly and helpful. But everyone else couldn't be bothered to assist. Managers walked by without even saying hello. The only person to say goodbye to us was the convention center security guard. These guys do not know hospitality. Will not return. Too bad since the brand seems like such a cool concept. I woke up at 4.30 from the staff members and the maintenance team which started their work before Dawn and when I asked the reception to help, they kept stalling unti 6am - whereby then they called me and said: "sir, now the team is scheduled to start working so we cannot stop". Rated 4 out of 5 by staff not totally prepared Great staff welcoming especially during day time. Room is very clean, spacious, fast internet connex, restaurants offering a nice food and everybody is polite. although these positive comments, the security at rooftop bar was really rude as well as the lady at reception i did explain about this drawback!! Was seeming another hotel, since staff on duty during the morning have definitely another attitude that evening/night! Even calling at 3am the room service i found polite and reactive people, why front office deserve this??? Another big lack, restaurant staff in Dine restaurant did not allow me to have buffet dinner at 10.20pm, due to 10.30pm going to clese. Then we did order a la carte. I was speechless when some other 2 guests was sitting and having buffet after 10.30pm!! Also my SPG discount has not been apply by mistake (anyway i did receive a voucher the day after). Yes is a nice hotel with a nice rate etc etc etc.....but few people definitely not trained enough risk to ruin a nice job made by all the staff. August 28, 2013
