Rated 4 out of 5 by Thanksgiving stay Stayed here over thanksgiving with our dog and had a great stay. My wife and I found the room and bed comfortable and modern style was nice. Our dog was treated like a king with the bed and treats waiting on him at check in. The only issue I had was the toilet in rm111 was lose from the floor and felt wobbly. I neglected to tell the hotel at checkout so hopefully they see this. Other then that it was a wonderful stay and we will come again. November 29, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Wonderful atmosphere The Aloft really met our expectations. Upon arrival we were welcomed as an SPG member and they told us happy anniversary and gave us to drink coupons!! This was our first time visiting and it won't be the last. The room setup is beautiful. Don't be alarmed by the ceiling yes it is finished lol the reason why the Celine is like that is to give the basement (aloft) effect. The bed wasn't really comfortable and the blanket is really thin so if you like the cold but love to bundle up with a blanket they will bring you another one. The breakfast is okay our second day they ran out of French toast sticks which is the best on the menu. This hotel is wonderful wonderful wonderful. November 12, 2015

We stayed on the 5th floor and it sounded like pots and pans clanging very early in the morning with a lot of loud talking. We always enjoy a quieter room as we chose not to get up before the crack of dawn . November 9, 2015

Rated 4 out of 5 by late checkout inconsistency First.. I would have shared this in the post-stay survey, but the survey link did not work. The stay was great until the last day. When checking in, I requested a late checkout and was granted a 1pm departure. On the day of departure, I returned from lunch and reiterated that I departing at 1pm with the front desk. However, when I went to my room, my card didn't work and I had to go back to the front desk so I could gain entry. I asked why the young man at the front desk didn't think of that why I chatted with him earlier.. 'oh, sorry' was the response. Then, yet again, as I was putting my first luggage piece in my car shortly after (before 1pm), I had to again 'reactivate' my door card (to get the rest of my luggage) because the manager assumed that I was departing and deactivated my card again. Why assume and not ask the guest as they are leaving or better yet, ask as you are saying farewell? August 10, 2015
Rated 2 out of 5 by Worst sleep ever The hotel is super nice and the rooms are very clean. I loved that they accommodated a late check out. However, the mattress is so stiff and uncomfortable we didn't get very much sleep at all. We had terrible back pain in the morning from laying in the mattress all night. The sheets were uncomfortable too. Not to mention they were not merely wide enough for a king size bed. The walls seem to be paper thin. You can hear the rooms around you taking showers and coming in and out of their rooms. July 11, 2015

Rated 5 out of 5 by Pet Friendly Just spent the weekend at your hotel for a graduation. Our family had 4 rooms in all. But we had a dog. And he was accepted with warm pats on the head. He was given a doggie bed, bowl, ball to use during our stay. Also, a bag of treats! Barkley loved the bed so much, he wouldn't get off of it without pulling. And there was NO charge for our dog!! Staff was very attentive to our every need. Thank you so much. Your decor was pleasantly different from the run of the mill hotels and we definitely stay at aloft hotels again, with or without our pet. June 1, 2015

Rated 4 out of 5 by This hotel was very modern with upgraded features. Overall, my boyfriend and I enjoyed our stay at Aloft. The room was very modern looking and had nice features. I absolutely loved the flat screen tv and the glass shower. The only downside was that I almost stepped on a piece of glass that was in the entrance way of the shower and could have cut myself. However, when I brought it to the front desk clerk's attention, he apologized and gave us a voucher for $25 for breakfast in the hotel. February 21, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Stellar all-around As soon as I arrived, the associate at the front desk was attentive and listened as I explained my schedule predicament. They extended my late checkout given the situation and were very generous. This place is an absolute gem for anyone traveling with their dog as well. January 1, 2015
Rated 3 out of 5 by just OK Room had a nice layout; the larger hotel was cold and industrial. Felt like everything was "nickel and dimed." For example, there was a latte machine but that cost extra. Basic breakfast items had a charge attached. Most disappointing though was the "Green Option." I chose the Green Option believing that meant my towels and sheets would not be laundered, which is perfectly fine for one night. However, my room was not made up at all - came back to an unmade bed, water glasses still out, trash not emptied. That's not "Green" - it's just NOT service. December 7, 2014

After a long day, the aLoft does a wonderful job of letting you unwind with a drink at the bar and promotes interactions with other guests. December 4, 2014

Rated 3 out of 5 by Hotel without an identity This is the first time I stayed at an Aloft. I've been to the W before and it is on point. The aloft seems like a w for business travel but it just doesn't work. There was a refrigerator under the open sink in the bedroom. the walls were thin and I'm pretty sure someone had a dog in their room which made sleeping difficult. Breakfast left a lot to be desired. They were stingy with the bliss products. On the positive, the staff members were wonderful, the rooms were clean and modern, and the lounge was nice. November 30, 2014
Rated 2 out of 5 by Not Impressed Our family of four was not impressed with the room. The beds were uncomfortable, the room layout was awkward and there was no place to sit other than the bed. The couch was located directly underneath the tv which left no room to sit up straight. For the price, we have stayed at other hotels in the area for considerably less and have been much more satisfied. The staff was very friendly and professional. November 30, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by My favorite local bar: WXYZ For the frequent business traveler, there is no better place to unwind after a long day than at the WXYZ bar. It's not just because of the convenient location, the live music on Tuesdays, or the other random business travelers - some of whom can be quite entertaining after a few cocktails - but it is because of the bar staff. Michelle and Dan are the reason this is my new local bar, and has been for the past several months. 2100 miles is a small distance to travel to hang out at my new favorite place with my new favorite bartenders. Rated 5 out of 5 by One persons opinion 33445566 This was a great place they made my pet feel so welcome. This is so polar opposite from the ALoft we stayed in after this visit in North Charleston. We felt like we were given the crap rooms, the first one was ice cold with a briken bathrrom door not functional and looked as if some one had peeled the wood off of it - then they moved us to another room with no toilet paper holder, toilet ran all night and room next door patied til 2 even after I waitied until 12 to complain. No compenstation definitely not staying there again. Consistency in hotels is important! Ballantyne was great!!!!! November 7, 2014
