Can't think of one negative thing about the Aloft Asheville. All the staff, from the front desk, the bar, the breakfast, the maintenance and housekeeping, were soooo nice and accommodating.
Our poolside room was amazing and of course those heavenly mattresses made for comfy sleeping.
The "cool - trendy" decor throughout was interesting. Bath/shower were spacious and functional and the small refrigerator was an added bonus !
We fell in love with Asheville and the Aloft. Oh ... and it's located in downtown within walking distance of all the best eateries, bars, and shopping.
Can't wait to return ! Thank you Aloft !

Great place to stay! Staff are friendly and polite, facilities are good and the decor and furniture are stylish yet comfortable (the two things don't always go together). A couple of things could be improved;
Firstly, the breakfast facilities were a little basic and a bit of an afterthought. There was very little seating area for breakfast and service a bit hit and miss, so we only used the hotel breakfast service once. My husband's breakfast order didn't arrive and we had to chase because they had forgotten about him.
Staff perhaps need to be a bit more knowledgeable. We asked where we could access banking facilities for traveller's checks and currency and the staff gave us two options, both of which were out of date (The travel service in BB&T no longer cash traveller's checks and the Bank of America we were directed to closed in 2012).

This hotel had been recommended by some friends, and we certainly found out why: convenient downtown location, cool room, universally friendly staff, and good breakfast. We would stay there again in a heartbeat.

I paid way way too much for a room that was beyond loud. The staff seemed totally uncaring that I was happy with my room. The air conditioner was so loud that when it turned on you had to turn the television volume up almost to full to hear it. Then when it went off you had to quickly turn it way down.
Now lets get to 5 hours of thumping boom boom boom from the music in the bar area. I cannot imagine that anyone who spent even one night in room 303 was not totally disturbed by the endless thumping noise from the bar that goes way into the night. It is totally impossible to get any rest at all until very late at night. When I addressed this situation to the staff all I got was an obligatory, uncaring, "I'm sorry".
While the location was great, the uncaring staff and horrid room noise makes it easy for me not to recommend this hotel.

I loved this hotel until it came time to check out. I have never had a hotel NOT give you a copy of your bill to review; they expected you to leave without knowing what charges were posted to your bill! They also post pending charges to your credit card and over 10 days later they are STILL pending. Very strange and unexplainable by the staff. The hotel itself is beautiful and in a great downtown location but I would hesitate about staying here again because of the problems at check out. They need to change billing procedures!

Was skeptical at first because I took a chance on a new place. I arrived late and saw immediately while checking in that it was a happening place...great music, people playing pool, friends talking by the fire place. My room was just awesome...cool stuff inside...lighting, sleeping arrangements, layout, bathroom equipment. The pool on the roof top with the mountain view....breathtaking. Wish other hotels were more focus on what you have to offer. Continue the the great work
