I recently stayed at this hotel for a wedding and it was more than I could have asked for. The room was so nice and clean. I loved the hotel's features and would stay at an Aloft hotel again.

This stay we were trying to figure out a way that we could live there year round...like one of those homeless billionaires.

Loud music played by hotel at outside fire pit late at night. Woke me up in my 6th floor room (which I paid a premium for). I complained and staff said they would fix. 30 minutes later, same thing again. One hour later, same thing again. I had a 5 hour drive ahead of me the next day with a few hours sleep. Ruined an otherwise great trip to Asheville

I found this hotel in Asheville on Travelocity.... I saw it was brand spanking new... For last time I was there... The site was a parking lot. I was pleasantly surprised at how MODERN it was... A real treat. Not the usual tired old hotel experience... DJs almost every night... Dancing... Excellent atmosphere.. The staff... Superb!
I LOVED the security... The amenities, bar, restaurant, was available to the public.. But the Guest Area was Key Card Access Only... So there were no stragglers roaming up and down the halls....
I cannot give a high enough review and will stay there every time I visit Asheville.... And will look for ALoft hotels in other cities I visit.

Rated 4 out of 5 by hankdog A few things to imporve on.
Nice contemporary design. The water smelled highly chlorinated, like bathing in a swimming pool. The reverse osmosis water was good to drink. The glass container was too small, had to go down the hall to refill frequently. The roof dog walk area hose did not work. Area smelled.
The room lighting was uncomfortably dim. Needed more light.
The advertised mountain view was nothing more than the side of a couple of churches.
The closer on the room door was way too strong. A struggle to open door and hold open with baggage.
Overall, it was a good experience. Wanted to point out what we felt were a few problems..

Rooms - I sat down on the end of the bed to put my shoes on and looked under the bench, could see residue from previous occupants. Began to look a little closer at floor and could see that it needed additional focus. Wondered what else needed attention?
Also those accent pillows on the bed, I would bet that housekeeping puts them on the floor when changing linens and then puts them back on the clean pillow where my face should go!
Noise - We returned around 1115 and got ready for bed but the noise from the bar area made it difficult to get to sleep.
Yes I would recommend your hotel but with some reservations particularly do not get a third floor room over bar/street area.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Joanie64 Great location
Overall, our stay was very good. The only service that was not as expected was the daily room clean-up. The first day, they did not leave us any towels and did not replace coffee supplies. A stop by the front desk took care of that but then the next day, they made our bed but did not replace coffee supplies or wipe down the bathroom vanity top. Once again, a call to the desk got us what we needed but I don't think that was the way it should have been. Everything else was great...exercise room, beds, location, coffee shop, front desk staff. We will be back!!

First of all.... I would like to publicly say "Thank You" Cristen at the front desk for helping with a major mistake that was made by the outside reservationist.... I called last minute needed a room for Saturday to meet my daughter for a girls getaway... then found out that they had booked it for Friday night... the same night I called... needless to say my card was charged with a no show... and central reservation said NO ROOMS for Saturday AT ALL... So disappointed by this time... I was already driving in to Asheville when I realized I hadn't receive my email confirmation not only was the date booked wrong my email was incorrect. I called the hotel direct line and Cristen answered the call.. I happen to hit the jackpot with this very professional young lady.. she kept me on line and worked to fine me a room and resolve this major "spoil the moment weekend" blunder. She booked me a room and then hooked me up with the complaint department... hopefully my refund for the mix up is on the way to being resolved. I am not a complainer AT ALL... I just wanted the public to know if for some reason you find issues with a booking... there is a young lady named Cristen who will go above and beyond to HELP you...My daughter and I loved our stay and will be returning for more girls weekend with lots of our friends.. Again "Thank You SWEET girl and I hope Aloft knows what a great asset they have in you!

Rated 4 out of 5 by summersteve Excellent location, great staff
Typical aloft (and that's not a bad thing), everything you expected are there. Staff has great recommendations on where to go for food and drinks. My friend left his keys in the room and they called within 15 min of check out to let us know about it. Bartneders at w xyz know how to make a mean drink.
Excellent location in Asheville, can't be beat. Walking distances to sights and shopping/restaurants, bars. The Biltmore Estate is a short drive away.
Only a couple gripes - the gym was a bit small and had to wait for equipment to open up...seems like the guests here are more active than other hotels I've stayed at. The bathroom had a bit of stain on the floor (from the shampoo dispenser drippings) and rusts on the window frame. For some reason, whenever neighboring rooms open the blinds, you can hear it really loudly but no other noise seeps through. And they have the heaviest doors...a good workout every morning and evening.

Rated 5 out of 5 by lawrenzp Asheville Aloft stay
The Aloft is a very nice hotel within minutes of all walking destinations downtown Asheville. The staff were very nice and efficient. The room was set-up in a modern style with very comfortable beds. I didn't get to use all the amenities due to the shortness of stay...maybe next time!

Rated 5 out of 5 by Vincos The Perfect Hotel in the Perfect Place
OVERALL IMPRESSION: What an excellent fit between Asheville and this new and trendy Aloft - the energy of this property is perfect for the hipster vibe and ultra-cool of this college town.
SPG PLATINUM RECOGNITION: Fantastic. My expectations were low as Aloft don’t usually have higher category rooms and most practice a non-upgrade policy but here we were recognized as if in a full-service property. The in-room Welcome Amenity was a absolutely beautiful cheese and fruit platter worthy of photographing and accompanied by a beautiful hand-written and artistically-decorated card.
THE ROOM: The standard Aloft cookie-cutter room but they are beautiful, sleek, and have everything we need so who can complain?
LOCATION: Right in the heart of the action in downtown Asheville with it’s own parking and easy access to the Biltmore.
EXCEEDED EXPECTATIONS: I have had harsh words for other Aloft properties who take the hands-off service policy a little too much at the letter. This place is the opposite end of the spectrum - more service-oriented than many properties in the brands which tout their service maxims.
The Platinum amenity breakfast was unbelievable - virtually anything and as much of everything as we wanted from the lobby coffee bar.
DID NOT MEET EXPECTATIONS: N/A.
ONE THING TO KNOW: Hands-down, the ONLY choice if you want to capture the Asheville vibe.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Siren111 Exceptional Aloft Property
This is a GREAT Aloft property!. Open air patios, great service, cool pool cabana rooms, is in the center of Asheville, hip crowd, dog run, huge living room, and really fab! It's easy in, easy out, $4 parking (get your ticket validated). Mountain views, etc. Listen, if you're a stick in the mud, don't stay here. Get a mountain view room or a pool cabana room If you're looking for serious quiet. There are balcony rooms too. Join in with the nightlife here! Great property, great staff, great ambiance and a great price (negotiable by the way if they aren't full). Best stay yet in an Aloft!

Rated 5 out of 5 by TravellRs Great staff, look no further for pet-friendly
We wanted to come to Asheville and enjoy the city, dining, and Biltmore and bring along our young miniature poodle. The staff immediately made us feel at home at reception and got us a dog-friendly bed and treats for our puppy. The room was very clean and comfortable. There are dog walking areas in and adjacent to the hotel. The hotel is close to many restaurants and shops near Pack Square and was an easy walk. The design, staff, and attitude of the hotel are perfect for pet-friendly vacations, and there is NO additional pet charge for all of this wonderful accomodation.

Rated 2 out of 5 by 0725guest Parking issue
We have stayed at this Aloft before. The room was nice, clean comfortable. Check-in and check-out were very easy. We didn't visit the bar this time, but in the past we have and did enjoy our time there. Issue this time - we couldn't get into the garage to park until 1 a.m., meaning we had to leave the hotel and retrieve our car from a parking garage that was a distance from the hotel. Hotel staff should work with the city to ensure that customers can get into the parking garage when there is a downtown event. It was an unpleasant end to our evening.

Susan at the Aloft in Asheville, NC lacked professionalism when I called to request a copy of my receipt. She was not very friendly and didn't know how to speak politely to customers. Think she needs a little more training....

I really enjoyed the Gypsy Swingers, who performed at the Aloft on Saturday evening. It was a rare treat to get such high quality performers in such an intimate setting. Mario Piccolo and his group have a broad repertoire, but they truly excelled in reproducing the Django Reinhardt "Le Hot Jazz" sound. For this jazz lover, it was like I had died and gone to heaven.

Stayed here for 2 nights. Couldn't ask for a better location. The hotlel was clean and the bed was super comfortable. The carpet in my room needed to be cleaned by the sliding doors that open onto the cabana. Also the sliding window was very dirty and hard to look out of.. I considered writing a note for housekeeper to wash it but opened curtains and thought she would just see and wash it when she serviced room but she did not. I know this is a dog friendly hotel with no particular floor that houses the guests with dogs. I saw a dog dragging his bottom near the ppol where his owner was swimming. The pool should be off limits to pets for goodness sakes. There was a child swimming and a dog running around the pool and dragging his bottom. It would be great if there was a least a pet free floor.

Rated 5 out of 5 by amblack5 Truly Exceptional Accommodations
The first time I stayed (last Aug), I was blown away by level of service from the staff. All were warm, welcoming, and willing to help if necessary. My only complaint was they had run out of several of the toiletries. Not a huge issue, just slightly inconvenient. What I didn't expect was to receive an incredibly well written email from the Executive Housekeeper apologizing for the inconvenience and an invitation to please return. Come New Years, I decided to travel back to Asheville to celebrate. I reached out to aloft directly and they offered me a very low rate (roughly equivalent to their employee rate from what I understand) to make up for the toiletry shortage back in Aug. Long story short, I can't wait to go back and stay once again. The hotel is new, dog-friendly, close to downtown, and most importantly, everyone that works there is a rockstar. Thank you for a memorable experience aloft!

Rated 5 out of 5 by Sarasota69 Wonderful Staff and Great Atmosphere!
I was greeted by two exceptionally nice young men at check in - made me feel welcome and appreciated as an SPG member. Was upgraded, as a Platinum member to a great corner suite. Everything was wonderful. LOVED IT! As I was leaving, another extremely kind young man at the reception desk helped me with directions for my trip to Atlanta - and even printed out the material for me. I feel the staff goes above and beyond at the wonderful hotel. Can't wait to come back!!

Was skeptical at first because I took a chance on a new place. I arrived late and saw immediately while checking in that it was a happening place...great music, people playing pool, friends talking by the fire place. My room was just awesome...cool stuff inside...lighting, sleeping arrangements, layout, bathroom equipment. The pool on the roof top with the mountain view....breathtaking. Wish other hotels were more focus on what you have to offer. Continue the the great work

Rated 5 out of 5 by Eretiredman What a fun hotel!
From the first step into the elevator where the floor "reacted" to our footsteps, this hotel was full of fun things. Modern room was so clean but getting our luggage. Cart inside was a tight fit. Also, setting the thermostat on 70 made cold air come out of the heater. But, everything else was terrific. Even getting our free drink at WZYZ was no hassle. I got a high end bourbon without question. We'll be back when it's warmer to take advantage of the pool and wonder "ledge".

Rated 3 out of 5 by Kitty Noise
The hotel was excellent but the only complaint that I have was the noise. My room was right over the bar area and it was so loud that you could not sleep. I expressed my concerns when I checked out and the lady was very rude and said that I should have called and complained about the noise. It was a bar and I was unaware that they would turn the music down and ask the people to quiten down. She was not apologetic at all and her spiel seem quite rehearsed.

The hotel and room were generally as expected. That siad, there was a band playing until midnight in the hotel which meant that there was no chance for us to sleep even though we needed to get an early start the next day. We would have never booked a room here knowing that,

Couldn't beat the location, restaurants close by are fantastic! It's an edgy feel, but we liked it. There was a loud party going on in the bar on Friday night with a DJ, I was worried because we were on the 3rd floor and the party was on the 2nd and I thought we'd hear it, but we didn't hear a thing! Comfy room for a weekend stay, would recommend it for anyone visiting Asheville and wanting to be in the middle of everything downtown!

Rated 5 out of 5 by distad The best Aloft hands down
This is by far the best Aloft I have stayed at ever. I was upgraded to a suite and the location can't be beat. Added to the bonus was a great place to eat just below the lobby. Staff is great, bar was hopping, walking distance to everything. The only downside was Wifi was out for my stay which made having meetings in my room a bit tough but we worked through it. A+ and highly recommend.
