Nice contemporary design. The water smelled highly chlorinated, like bathing in a swimming pool. The reverse osmosis water was good to drink. The glass container was too small, had to go down the hall to refill frequently. The roof dog walk area hose did not work. Area smelled.
The room lighting was uncomfortably dim. Needed more light.
The advertised mountain view was nothing more than the side of a couple of churches.
The closer on the room door was way too strong. A struggle to open door and hold open with baggage.
Overall, it was a good experience. Wanted to point out what we felt were a few problems..

Overall, our stay was very good. The only service that was not as expected was the daily room clean-up. The first day, they did not leave us any towels and did not replace coffee supplies. A stop by the front desk took care of that but then the next day, they made our bed but did not replace coffee supplies or wipe down the bathroom vanity top. Once again, a call to the desk got us what we needed but I don't think that was the way it should have been. Everything else was great...exercise room, beds, location, coffee shop, front desk staff. We will be back!!

Nice, contemporary hotel in downtown Asheville, close enough to walk everywhere. Staff friendly, rooms small but clean and modern. Nice beds. Public spaces attractive. Great looking pool area, but too cold to take advantage of it.
Would recommend to anyone.

The hallways and bar were extremely hot. We had to turn on our air conditioning in the room. My husband had to take a cold shower one day we were there. We loved seeing all of the dogs!

We enjoyed the hotel and the location. However, shower curtain had mildew, ceiling paint was peeling, and which there was better lighting in the bed area.

Susan at the Aloft in Asheville, NC lacked professionalism when I called to request a copy of my receipt. She was not very friendly and didn't know how to speak politely to customers. Think she needs a little more training....

My husband and I visited Aloft Asheville for our first year anniversary. It was very welcoming and all the staff were helpful. The location is wonderful as we could walk everywhere and left the car the garage the entire trip.
