The hotels interior design is modern, fun and laid back. Totally caught my eye because it's not your average hotel design. Staff was super nice and the snack bar was very cute. Great entertainment kids as it features a pool and pool table. Would be nice to have a 'game' room with foosball, arcade games, ping pong, etc. Would also be nice to have a spa and jacuzzi!!! Overall though, I loved it and would 100% come back!

I enjoyed my stay but was unhappy with the checkout procedure. On checkout there was an error and I was only billed for one night of two. 24 hours later a charge was placed on my credit card without any notification, nor did I receive an updated invoice. I called and talked to the manager and was sent an invoice but it was not invoiced to me directly. In fact it was invoiced to our hockey team and 7 rooms were charged on their credit cards towards this account that should have never existed. They said this was weird and never happens. I think that they handled this error inappropriately, a credit card should not be billed without proper invoicing OR notification. My confidence in providing my credit card information to this hotel has been compromised ..I would not book here again.

Really good location for our needs, considering we were visiting friends twenty miles away. We were happy with it's location for Mall Shopping.

According to the manager, the hotel strives for excellent service. If I received excellent service, I'd hate to see substandard service.
Long line ups at check in; having to be moved into three different rooms due to unfixed problems (the safe and phone not functioning in the first room, the safe locked in the second room) when concerns were raised at the front desk, the junior staff at the front desk was rude and made it seem that I was causing him an inconvenience.
That evening, there was substantial disturbence from intoxicated hotel guests. Calls to the front desk were met with little to no support. The next morning at breakfast, as many items had not been refreshed, making mention to the same junior staff was responded quite rudely.
The only bright side was speaking with the morning manager who did finally make things right.
Unfortunately my first stay at aLoft Vaughan will be my last.

I experienced the worst stay in a hotel of my life in the Aloft Vaughn Mills.
The hotel was out of control with kids running through the hotel until just before midnight which made my 5 am start the next day horrible. Called the front desk twice and they did nothing.
I have asked for my money back but the front desk manager is taking an argumentative stance with me rather than listening to the issue. He believes I should be more understanding but the only thing I understand is that I didn't get the rest that I paid for. He tells me that he knows hotels from working in the industry and I should expect this. Well I have stayed at hotels more than 150 nights this year, probably enough to know where my expectations should fall. He works in hotels, I live in them. They have offered me a free night to a hotel that I will never go back to and a few bonus point is hardly the proper compensation.

Clean, modern facility with excellent and professional staff. Food options on site are very limited. I'd stay here again because its good value and close to businesses.
