Rated 5 out of 5 by Modern amenities We liked the hotel, especially the very modern decor. Staff was helpful and the room comfortable October 26, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great for Work Perfect proximity to the airport and distance between the city and Silicon Valley. October 22, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Great for a simple use I arrived almost midnight and left for a morning flight of 6am. So, I didn't do much at the hotel except a shower and a sleep. For that simple experience, the hotel was very functional and comfortable. WiFi worked well and the free airport shuttle was great. October 20, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Very hip! Located very close to SFO airport. The hotel was very clean and well appointed. Hip overall - great consumer experience. Staff was helpful, friendly and knowledgable. If I had one wish it would be that the bathroom was a little more private - sliding door left a gap and sound was not contained. October 14, 2014
Rated 2 out of 5 by Terrible While the hotel is clean they did not have access to the GIants play-off game and the Staff was not helpful and was in fact misleading patrons in the hope that they would stay in the bar waiting for the game to come on. Went next door to the Westin - they had the game and much more professional staff. Should have never stayed here. October 9, 2014
Rated 2 out of 5 by Parking is 23$ extra and internet connection questionable Telephone reservations did not inform me that there would be an additional $23 charge for parking at the SFO Aloft . Apparently not all Aloft Hotels will have this extra is specific to this site, I was told. Additionally, the evening manager did not understand nor seem to care that the lack of disclosure from telephone central booking made for an unpleasant experience upon checking in, although he did, eventually (upon being asked to speak to his manager) present a paid ticket for parking. Secondarily, the internet connection for room 106 was not in place, necessitating a 15" process to connect it. The customer service agent on the phone stated that the connection was failing from the hotel itself, not from his end, but that he was able to circumvent the failure and connect me...and he succeeded. In the morning, upon checking out, the manager on was very professional, listened patiently about the problem checking in and w/ the lack of internet access and was apologetic offering to pay for parking, but as it had been given upon checking in, albeit with an attitude, I thanked him but declined it. Bottom line, management makes all the difference! Errors happen. How they're handled is the key. October 6, 2014
Rated 3 out of 5 by Typical ALoft ... Nice, but just nice. It's a good hotel for business traverlers, but not sure I dig it for family. My trip was just my wife and I and we wanted to stay close to the airport for an early flight. It worded perfect for that ... but otherwise, you need to go somewhere else for a nicer meal. Rated 4 out of 5 by Aloft Great comfort and value at this location. Welcoming attitude and prompt check-in/check-out. October 5, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Staff Great Staff. polite. Remembers my name. very clean. property. October 2, 2014
Rated 3 out of 5 by Wet carpet Some how the carpet in the room was wet. It dd look as if someone tried to vacuum up the water but was unsuccessful . In any case I lost a pair wet sock walking on the carpet. The room should have not been used until the problem was resolved . Front was notified and they did credit me a 7$ Drink. September 27, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by loved my stay there friendly staff, great food, wonderful shower and room, quiet, will stay there again soon. September 27, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Always nice The quality of sleep was only due to our issue of sleeping, and the fact that some dope called our room at 3 in the morning looking for someone else. We are always satisfied with this Aloft. September 23, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great location - comfortable room Well-designed property, very friendly, helpful service, easy access to and from San Francisco airport, COMFORTABLE bed, powerful WiFi - loved this hotel for our last night in Bay area. September 16, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by The hotel has a great cool factor and checks most of the positive Boxes The rooms are very comfortable and well appointed. The common ares are spectacular and supply a great environment -fitness center, business amenities etc. I did not have the opportunity to experience the afternoon /early evening reception as it was over at 9:pm and we checked in about 10:00pm. My big knock on the hotel was the breakfast experience. Everything was A la Carte candy bars , apples , muffins etc, The hot food was (-wraps, omelets) expensive as an overall meal and VERY slow to come out. Each order was placed at the window and people stood or sat for 20-40 minutes to receive their hot food. Perhaps there was a breakdown in the Kitchen? I had a bit of a feeling of being "nickel and dimed" at the breakfast experience. I would go back with the hope something is done about breakfast hot or cold. Otherwise the Hotel is fabulous. September 16, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by simple and modern Simple and modern about sums it up. My wife and I really enjoy the Aloft for the modern interiors. Staying here allows you to explore, if you want and bring stuff back to your room to enjoy because you have the fridge there. Staff was very kind. September 15, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Good alternative to other airport hotels Nice hotel that is an alternative to other SFO hotels. Next to the Westin, so there are dining options next door. Overall bathrooms have a great design. September 14, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by San Fran Airport Very nice, new hotel that's just about as close to the airport as possible (with frequent shuttle bus). September 8, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great stay! comfortable bed, free wi-fi and responsive team. Great work to all that work at Aloft Millbrae! Guest relations team at front desk were amazing with their great smiles helpful advises. I'd come back again without any doubts! September 8, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Refreshingly good airport hotel Staff was very attentive and responsive to all of our needs. Check in and check out was quick and hassle free. Lobby areas were a great place to unwind and relax. September 5, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by GOOD SERVICES fashion hotel with cool guys September 5, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Parking Nightmare We stayed here for 4 nights. Upon checking in, found out about the parking per night, which is understandable, they are a long term parking for SFO as well. $23 a night though is a little steep to me for being a hotel guest, especially beings that one night, I couldn't even park in the parking lot. It was packed full, parked in places that weren't parking spots and on fire lanes. Was advised by front desk to go to the parking booth outside where they will valet my car. Went, received a ticket, parked my car on the fire line outside the parking booth, where it stayed all night and did not move. Upon going to the front desk for my 'valet', i was told i need to go to the booth to obtain my keys to get my car. this is not valet parking. this is "hey we messed up, our parking lot is full, you cant park it here, and we wont park it for you and still charge you for parking." Wouldnt mind getting my $$ back for that 1 day i could not park there. Also, did not use any of the housekeeping services, was told $5 a day credit towards i think the bar or 250 spg points per day for services not used. I received 1 card for this, waiting for the points to be credited which i feel i will not see. Also, your key card operates everything, and i mean EVERYTHING. not only the room and every door going into the hotel (as usual) but also the elevator. Front desk guy did not tell us this, so we at first was lost in the hotel. ended up in talent entry or something that was not blocked off where all remodeling stuff was, got to elevator, couldnt use it (as we did not know about the key card deal). finally was able to use it, still lost in the hotel, stuck in a room with just a bunch of doors. places that should be blocked off for hotel customers. Rated 5 out of 5 by Good Place Quick one night stay. No Issues. Park is expensive. Outside of that, everything is great. Very cool place. September 2, 2014
Rated 3 out of 5 by not value for money A very expensive hotel, there is no value for money at all in here. The coffee in the room is soooo weak and cheap; you want a cup of coffee in the lounge and you have to pay for it rather than provide it free of charge... when you are forking over US$500/night this is the minimum you can do August 27, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by SPG Recognition I was a bit disappointed that there was no attempt to extend any benefit to me as an SPG member. On the trip up the west coast from LA to SanFran, various concessions were extended to me as an SPG member including use of the Club Lounge, Parking concessions, and Wifi. I know you limited within the Aloft structure but I would have expected a concession on parking which I felt was high in the first instances. As my first experience with Aloft, my wife and family were pleasantly surprised. We will book an Aloft in the future but you need better SPG recognition. August 25, 2014
Rated 1 out of 5 by Staff did poor job, over priced Staff was much more interested in talking to each other then checking on or out people. Room condition was fair. Price was high, but $23 a day for parking unacceptable. Had a nice meal across the street at the Westin. Low service hotel with high service costs. August 25, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by I was expecting something else If you have to go to San Bruno instead of SFO and need to stay close to the airport this is definitely a great option. I missed the attentiveness and attention to detail that I've received in other SPG hotels like the Westin and the food is very limited but overall is ok. August 24, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by On the road again I find the Aloft at SFO Airport, very convenient for business travel to Bay Area August 24, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Great hotel at a convenient location - Modern spacious rooms, nice design, comfortable beds - Very close to Hwy 101, and <20 minutes to downtown SF - Free WiFi is a big plus - Adjoining rooms slightly noisy at night. Ask for non-adjoining rooms if you don't want to hear your neighbors. - Would be nice if parking was included in the room rate. - Limited food options on premise. August 18, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Aloft is modern clean and convenient I love the location of the Aloft hotel. just two or three exits from SFO, near a 3 mile wetlands walking trail and close to the downtown Milbrae shops and restaurants. Also, the Safeway market is open 24-hours so you can always get some fruit and water even if you land after midnight. The hotel itself is extremely modern, clean and often features live musicians playing acoustic guitar. They just need to get a Ping Pong Table and then it will be the perfect place on earth They August 15, 2014
Rated 1 out of 5 by Hotel policies are not customer friendly I am not happy with the way the hotel handled my reservation. I had booked a room with two queens and prepaid for it but when I arrived I was told that reserving and prepaying does not guarantee a room with two beds. Also there was no additional inflatable beds available. We were a party of four and it was suggested that we adjust in a room with a single king bed. I was told that the manager will talk to me the next day but he never did and the second staff person repeated the same thing about there being no guarantees. If this is the hotel policy then it is extremely customer unfriendly. I am sure the hotel wont consider refunds had I not shown up. The body language of the staff suggested that this probably a common occurrence. August 12, 2014
