Rated 4 out of 5 by Good location, great rooms, friendly staff The rooms at this hotel are great, well laid out, very spacious and clean. Everything worked (which is a big plus against other hotels!) The only negatives I can mention is that lift/elevator music is too loud and too harsh at times - it would be OK in a nightclub, but a bit too 'pumping' when you're on your way to breakfast or coming in from the office !. Secondly, noise insulation around draining system and bathrooms isn't fantastic - I could hear the noise of water running from other bedrooms nearby - to the point of checking that I hadn't left my shower on sometimes ! Apart from that, it's a great hotel. December 8, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Not the most luxurious, but certainly the most alternatively pleasing hotel We arrived to great welcoming staff at the counter. Immediately, the uniquely designed lobby took us by surprise. Macs were abundant for public use, there was a free flow beverage counter, multiple bean bags to let you just chill, and even a dance machine to let u show off your moves! The rooms were not too shabby, but not as luxurious as the other hotels nearby. However, cleanliness is good. The breakfast area was equally fresh in design, and while not having TOOO many choices, this hotel can pride itself in its unique selection of food. Well done aloft! Rated 4 out of 5 by this hotel is great but .... This hotel is great but once you are a SPG platinum member, it becomes less competitive as there are hardly any benefits for platinum member. December 9, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Nice Hotel, Worth the money! Totally different feeling compared to other hotels..friendly staff, nice room + environment, free wifi (without needing us to key in the password), and very near to KL central (< 5minutes walk to LRT station + covered walkway)...making it so convenient to us! Rated 3 out of 5 by Has issues Romm has an annoting night-light that you cannot turn off. Contacted reception re night-light and they didn't know how to turn it off either. Some form of maintenance being performed at 5:15AM, repetative hammering. Called reception re issue an noise was stopped... too late already wide awake. December 7, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Free mini bar This is the first time I stay in starwood hotel with free mini bar December 6, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Great Location, Modern Concept, Spacious Rooms- just rectify the parking 2nd stay for me here, and the service was better this time. Rooms were clean, amenities all stocked, with new-feeling towels. Food at Nook was good as well, with special privileges for SPG members. Would stay here again. The only problem was the parking- only the first level allows direct access to the hotel lobby, while the rest would lead to the office building beside the hotel. parking at the third basement level would in fact connect you to the hotel, but via what looked like a service entry since it was removed from the parking building itself. We had to walk down/up the ramp meant for cars just to get to the lobby. This should really be rectified, since parking is not free anyway. November 26, 2014
Rated 1 out of 5 by Weak recognition for SPG Plat When I checked in, I was told that I was "upgraded" to higher floor . Guess what - 15th floor facing the noise of the train running through every 5 mins when the hotel highest floor is 29th. Highlight this to front desk but told me no room available at higher floor. Other colleagues of mine who checked in 2 hours later were all at higher floor despite not being an SPG member. No amenity offered and was told "free internet" for Plat members when in reality it is free to all guest. Please have the decency to tell me that SPG plat have no status in Aloft (period) rather than making up strories. This has to be one of my most disappointed stay in my 9 years of being a Plat member October 9, 2014
