Rated 5 out of 5 by Excellent Standards I stayed between 10june15-19june15 and 21june15-30june15. Why I chose this hotel is because of my previous experience with this hotel. The first 10days I had the urban room and it was excellent. The reception staffs were so helpful, informative and always did their best to accommodate the guest. The housekeeping staff did an excellent job with keeping the room perfectly clean and tidy. I always return after a long day to a perfectly made room. The location is perfect for tourist as well as business travellers. My only comment is during my stay in 2014 the entertainment on the TV was a lot more options. Nothing bad for my first stay. My return on the 21june15-30june15, same service standards was accorded even though I just had the regular room. Unfortunately, I did have some problems with the wifi and my room toilet tap had several incident where the water was yellowish in colour. I took a photo and highlighted to your reception staff when I checked out. But even with that, I will still choose to still stay with you again. I will be returning to Aloft KL on the 24August2015 and probably stay till mid September. Hopefully I will continue to have the same service quality. July 20, 2015
Rated 4 out of 5 by Helpful staff The check-in,housekeeping,dining staff were very helpful. My requests were attended immediately. I found the hotel and the room clean and tidy. However, some of the electrical plugs were not working/spoilt. About the tv channels, I found not many channels available. Pls look into this. Overall, I will definitely be back to Aloft KL again! Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Stay at Aloft KL Sentral We had a good stay at, rooms were comfortable and great view of the city. Very clean. Would highly recommend. Will definitely stay there again. July 2, 2015
Rated 2 out of 5 by Needs improvement I was going to provide this information on their survey but the link that they sent me, doesn't actually work. I think the hotel is trying to be young and hip but it doesn't mean that they should compromise on their service. The check-in experience was a bit more like going through the immigration counter than checking in at a hotel. The waiting time was long on both check in and check out. I had an event at the hotel and they forgot to include that on the bill until I pointed it out - and it took ages to rectify. It's nice to have free mini-bar but it doesn't make up for all the sloppiness of the service. They offer 250 starpoints if you decline housekeeping but the housekeeper seems not to understand that. I followed the instructions and had hung the sign on my door before 2am and I have also put on my do not disturb light on, yet the next night when I returned from work, I found a note from the housekeeper saying they couldn't come in because of the do not disturb light - totally ignore the fact that i have op-ed not to have the housekeeping but the points. On check out I forgot to check if the points were there and later I found out it wasn't and when I return for the next stay very soon after my first stay, I was told they don't have the record and they can't give me my points. (That's like false advertising! And there is no way you could proof that you have hung the card outside the door! It is their words against yours) My room has a connecting door (even though in my SPG profile, I specifically mentioned no connecting door) and I didn't notice it was not locked. At midnight, my neighbour checked in and tried to open my door. I call the staff for help. They sent someone up but they didn't brief him and he was actually trying to open and unlock next door's door rather than locking mine! (by that time, my neighbour has locked the door on their side) The projector of the meeting room I hired was not working, they put in a different one but it wasn't working neither, so they had to bring in a third one by that time my guests have arrived. There was no staff outside the meeting room at the end of the event and I had to wait for ages to give them back the bill that i signed and for the guests to get their discounted parking. The food arrived 20 mins late despite I have given them the run down of the meeting with specific time for the food to be served. At other SPG hotels, you get welcome fruit or macaroons as a platinum member. For Aloft, it was some fake m&ms and hazelnut chocolate balls that don't look too appetizing. I rather if they just skip it than providing cheap freebies. I think I can keep going but there's enough for now. June 29, 2015
Rated 4 out of 5 by A Quality & Service Audit......... I had first stayed at Aloft Kuala Lumpur Sentral, in March 2014. Then, it was fairly new and everything was, as one would expect, in tip-top condition. The rooms smelt new, the sheets were ‘newly’ clean, pillows were firm, things work etc, etc. There were no cigarette smell anywhere; the staffs were friendly and enthusiastic and were all out to please their guests. But then again, the hotel was new. To me, the true test of a good quality hotel is determined by how well it maintains its quality of rooms, fixtures and fittings, furnishings and more importantly, the quality of its staff and their service over time. One year and three months since my first and last visit, I had decided to check out Aloft once again, hoping to not only to enjoy what I and my family had experienced before, but to ascertain if the management did keep up their standards since one year ago. I had a family of five and was very pleased to discover their Family Package Weekend Suite Promotion. To get there, we flew into KLIA and hopped onto the KLIA Express to KL Sentral Station. When we were there last year, NU Sentral shopping mall was non-existent and we had to exit the station and cross the road to get to the hotel entrance. This time around, we just simply took the escalator up to the new shopping mall, follow the signs to Aloft @Sentral and within 6 minutes, we were at the reception – all in air-conditioned comfort. Its ease of access is even better than before. Checking-in was, as it was a year ago, a breeze – the administrative aspects were expeditiously taken care of by a friendly and enthusiastic ‘talent’ – the smile was a smile of genuine welcome; not a business smile that you see a lot of at the more luxurious and expensive hotels. Before proceeding up to our rooms, I had a quick cursory inspection of the lobby lounge (re:mix), grab n go café (re:fuel) and in-touch areas and they were just as they were a year ago – clean, functional and beckoning to ‘come and use me’. Our room was on the twenty-eighth floor comprising a Breezy suite and a connecting loft room; access is via a common entrance foyer with a main door for added security. At 61 square metres, the suite room was very spacious indeed; the guest enters into a dining and lounge area that leads to the bedroom through a sliding door. The spacious bedroom comes with a king size bed and walk-in wardrobe. The shower stall and water closet are in separate stalls, however, the design of only one glass sliding door providing privacy for either the shower or water closet stall is indeed challenging to guests needing to use both at the same time; perhaps the talents at Aloft may be able to advise on how it could be done. The room was clean; fixtures and fittings work as they should and the necessary amenities for a comfortable stay were all in place. There is a mini bar with complimentary drinks and snacks which we really appreciated; so too, the complimentary fresh aromatic coffee from the ‘illy’ coffee dispenser. The additional twin double beds in the adjoining Loft room were more than ample sleeping quarters for the kids. In total, we had 94 square metres of space for our family of five and everyone was more than satisfied with the cleanliness and room accommodation that was provided under the package. During my last visit, I had noticed the strict ‘No Smoking’ policy of Aloft; I checked and found no trace of residual tobacco smoke despite one year and three months having gone by – it is heartening that the management has kept the hotel smoke free and I hope they will continue to be vigilant in doing so. The package we bought included breakfast. The breakfast spread was simple but decent. The staffs were cheerful in their service and despite their seemingly lacking in numbers, I must commend their efforts in providing as excellent a service as they could. We noticed such cheerfulness and good service in housekeeping as well and despite some of the negative comments that were posted by other reviewers about Aloft’s room cleanliness and service, I would say that this hotel’s overall quality and service is on par with, if not exceeded, that of most other hotels that we had stayed in – luxurious or otherwise. Checking out, like before, was a breeze. We checked out at 0600 hrs; was at the train station at 0615 and boarded the train to KLIA at 0620 hrs. My verdict – Aloft has, so far, maintained the quality and service that we had experienced since we last stayed there a year ago and this will definitely provide us with the right reasons to come back again on our next weekend getaway to Kuala Lumpur. In addition to that, its close proximity to the Nu Sentral shopping mall and the rail network connectivity to other areas of attractions in Kuala Lumpur provides me with the added confidence to recommend Aloft Kuala Lumpur Sentral to anyone, especially families with kids in tow, intending to vacation in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Rated 3 out of 5 by Convenient Hotel The hotel has a vibrant and young vibe and very convenient for travelers who wants to explore KL. Since Aloft is at KL Sentral it is near to all KL attractions and it is linked to KL Sentral Station which is very good transportation esp to Airport. June 21, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by 2603 Decided to have a short getaway and decided to stay to here over the weekends. Check in was swift, the staff whom helped us with check in was friendly and also advised us on the best deals of the hotel. Was given a room on the 26th floor with a view of other skyscrapers next to it. Requested for late checkout and was given up to 4pm which I am very pleased as most hotels will charge you for it. Location is very convenient. Situated next to Nu Sentral Mall and a direct link to the LRT and ERL link makes it a good choice of stay, price of a 4 star with 5 star standards. The room was huge and the bed was very comfortable. Excellent amenities provided (toiletries, hairdryer, ironing board, etc). It was nice for them to provide bolster as well. Daily housekeeping is done to the room unless you put “DND” sign then housekeeping will not clean your room. The hotel provides you with 4 bottles of drinking water daily and wifi is free everywhere in the hotel be it in your room, the bar, the gym or the swimming pool. Our package came with complimentary breakfast and the selection was pretty good. There is a “juicer” where you can squeezed your own orange juice which is pretty fun seeing people taking turns at it squeezing juices for themselves. The breakfast selection changes every day so you won’t get bored eating the same thing over and over again. Managed to chill out at the W XYZ bar and I must say you go to try their specialty drink which is the “ABK” or “Ais Batu Kopi”. In terms of pricing, I must say it’s pretty reasonable and everything is NETT price. They have a pool table next to it which you can play and it’s free.  For you gym rats out there, there is a 24hr gym at the fourth floor for you to work out. It has most of the basic gym equipments you need and it’s well maintained. Awesome swimming pool/infinity pool at the rooftop, with limited sun beds. The pool is open from 6am to 11pm but beside it directly is a bar call Mai Bar that is open to anyone. Thus if you want to have a nice swim in the evening, be prepared that there may be a lot of people at the bar enjoying drinks and dressed up nicely. Didn’t have the chance to hang out at Mai Bar as 2 nights in a row it was pack with people. But I hope I will be able to when I come back again. I will definitely be back again for more. Impeccable service provided by the hotel. June 21, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Fabulous stay This is the first hotel that I've stayed that does not charge for the minibar. It has several nice items like Pringles, Perrier and Evian water, orange juice, and even a can of Carlsberg and red bull. I also enjoyed the French coffee brew. Nice.... One fault though...somehow, the toilet smelled bad. I believed its from the toilet drain which may not have been fitted with a water trap. I had to use a wet towel to cover the drain. June 19, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Well Kept Hotel A recent trip brought me back to Aloft KL Sentral again. Hotels in Malaysia usually were only nice when they first open and will soon get tired when it lack maintenance. But not in this case. I first stayed at Aloft KL Sentral during it opening days back in 2013. And 2 years on everything still seems sparkling new. The hotel is well kept and maintained. The room was clean and no sign of tiredness. Thanks to the management and the talents. The Urban room comes with Free Minibar and Snacks that will be replenished once a day. There's also a JBL bluetooth speaker to play your favourite tunes right from your phone or tablet. Staff were great as usual, service was prompt. On the first day I encountered cigarette smells in our room so housekeeper was sent up immediately to freshen up the odor. But I couldn't help but wonder, why all the hotel talents do not wear a name tag? It was hard to address them individually. Breakfast at NOOK was not bad, not a big spread but everything is there. There will always be Nasi Lemak in every hotels in Malaysia, As well as Indian, Chinese dim sums and Western selections. The croque monsieur was really tasty but limited supply only. With the Nu Sentral shopping mall just next door, and easy access to public transportation either getting around or to the airport, the location is extremely convenient. It is exciting that St. Regis opens soon at the same area this coming year end. Meanwhile I'm happy to return to Aloft KL Sentral when I'm in town again. June 19, 2015
Rated 3 out of 5 by Staff need improved I've called the service Center to request for a room change but the staff keep asking me to proceed to reception to do it. When I go down to reception the counter was too busy and I went back to my room and called service Center if she can pass the message to reception as I'm about to going out for dinner. Again the staff asking me to proceed to reception and I told her that I went there but there is a long queue and I'm in a rush. It really annoyed me when the she keep asking me to proceed to reception to do a room change. I wonder why don't she just take my message and pass it to your reception instead me going down to counter to do it. This is unacceptable for any Starwood brand. Only after I explain to her many times then she said will pass the message to reception. When I went back from my dinner, I went to reception, asking about the status. Seems that he is not aware of my request. Communication breakdown between your staff. June 3, 2015
Rated 4 out of 5 by Great location, center of train hub Aloft Sentral is a great hotel for business traveler, especially for those who fly in to Malaysia as there will be train taking them from airport to Sentral station directly, and Aloft is just beside the station. Easy as well for those that needs to commute to Cyberjaya/Putrajaya, as there are trains going there. There is a shopping center just besides the hotel, Nu Sentral, where you can get all sorts of food and stuff, saving you the trouble of going somewhere far to get something if needed. Hotel room is clean, comfort, and cold (you can adjust the temperature or off it), very modern design which I like a lot, hats off to the designer. Front desk is very friendly and helpful, check in and out is a breeze, no hassle at all. I stayed at this hotel for 6 nights, every morning the breakfast spread is almost the same, would have given this an extra point if the variety can change from time to time. One thing that disappoint me is there is no free parking, totally didn't expect this as all the hotels that I have stayed in before provided free parking. Overall, this is a great hotel to stay in, recommend to give it a try if you have not. May 31, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great hospitality great location and one of the best hotel in KL in terms of the hospitality and facilities. Thank you Aloft KL for the wonderful stay. May 31, 2015
Rated 4 out of 5 by Solid hardware, but service needs more polishing The good: Room setup, roomy & clutter free. Still well polished & clean. Smart TV, can plug your usb directly at the side & plays your own mp3/media. quite good sound from the tv. Weekend rates are affordable at RM250+ incl GST. Save the points & pay for anything below RM300. Request for higher floor facing KL Sentral was granted. The mehs: Aircond still have some audible noise but the temperature is ok. The soap dispensers in the shower can be easily tampered. Unhygienic. Needs improvement: Check in/out - rather slow & the reception desk seems busy/understaffed. Waiting for quite some time before my turn, no initiative from front line staffs to offer any seat or at least provide some refreshment. I feel shy just because i'm a local checking in with only a backpack, while they are more interested in checking in people with boatloads of luggage or foreigners (especially the mat sallehs). I even feel bad of thinking to use the elite check in line because it was full & nobody manned the normal check in computer at the front of the entrance! No platinum elite benefit mentioned unless we asked about it. May 28, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by hotel is modern and unique convenient as it is close to KL Sentral NU sentral just next door May 27, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Wonderful As Always I can't remember the name of the guy that was handling my check in but I wanted to extend my biggest gratitude towards him. The staff in Aloft KLS has always been the heart and soul. Yatts and Ayu at Mai Bar, always a sunshine, but no more birthday songs please. It may not be much here at Aloft, but if you wanted a good relaxing stay, definitely a wonderful place to stay. Plat status don't get much benefits, but staff do make up to it. We ended up more than we expected to have. And I'm not sure anyone realizes this, most of the hotel review are being replied on a copy paste matter. Not that I have a problem with that, but I do realize the past few reviews where there are some pointers that were not acknowledge. Anyway, great stay! Thank you for ending my disasterous long holiday with a sweet note. May 26, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great stay Awesome room & location. Worth for its price. Nice rooftop view as well. Will definitely be back! May 25, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Short Birthday Holiday Awesome stayed even for a short trip. Easy accessible from the main train station. The mall is just next to the hotel, which makes it even more convenient to find comfort food without traveling anywhere else in KL. Overall, great stayed and i will definately come back here again. P/S: the laksa was good! May 21, 2015

Rated 5 out of 5 by The best One of the best hotels in Kuala Lumpur. Even it was a one night stay, but we totally enjoyed our time at aloft KL. However, the quality of pillows could be better. May 11, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Excellent Hotel A really excellent hotel with fantastic rooms and facilities. All the staff were very cheerful, courteous and helpful. The close proximity to the LRT plus the airport check-in and rail link were an added bonus. I would have no reservations in recommending this hotel to anybody. April 26, 2015
Rated 4 out of 5 by Totally in style This hotel is totally utilitarian stylish. Functionality is in the foreground. Big comfortable beds and nice rooms. Additional benefit is its location at KL Sentral Train station, which makes the commute from the airport to KL city extremely easy. Internet connection is excellent, which cannot be said for most other hotels in the area. All clean and efficient. Breakfast bar has something for everyones liking. Who is expecting opulence and luxoury, should go to one of the other SPG brands. April 23, 2015

Rated 4 out of 5 by Very pleased wth my stay I stayed at the hotel for 3 nights and i simply love it. great and helpful staffs and comfortable rooms. just that I hope there is a powerpoint at the dressing space so that I can use the hairdryer near to where the mirror is. Apart from that, im very satisfied. Will be back again for sure! April 6, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by TGIF Super efficient check-in thanks to Melissa (hope I got the name right) at reception. Booked the suite and was quite impressed with the size and layout. I was also very impressed with the breakfast spread and quality. Areas for improvement: Although the rooms have smart tv, the hotel does not have any suitable cables for ipads to be used on the device. It would also be great for platinum members if the A-Loft group of hotels allow of suite upgrades consistent with the other hotels in the Starwood group. April 2, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by excelent desk service excellent service given by front desk staff especially Alif. Me made our stay superb! very attentive, approachable and willing to held whenever needed. he a true asset to this hotel. March 26, 2015
Rated 2 out of 5 by Celebration Turns Sour I have been a loyal guest to Aloft KL Sentral since November last year. It has always been amazing until this recent stay. There has been some confusion during check-in. And that has put me off right there and there. Requested for a double bed and was given a king bed instead. Had a long flight to KL and I just didn't have the energy to even ask for a change of rooms. I opted for Make A Green Choice. And after the first day, I had a card slip through my door stating that my room wasn't entitled to that. But in fact I was qualified for that. Had to call and check with front desk and they say it was an accidental mistake. On my day of departure, when I woke up, I realize there was another envelope on the front door. Picked it up and it says I had some billing issues. Went right down to front desk, and was told everything was just fine. What on earth is happening?? This stay was a total disaster. It should be a relaxing and enjoying myself with the Second Anniversary of Aloft KLS, but end up, all these things puts us off the mood to even wanna celebrate. It was really one disappointing experience this time round. Ordered room service and also requested for some wine glasses. And what we get was glasses wih water and finger stains. I wonder if any other guest would feel if they did experience what we did. I am not even sure now why I thought celebrating this YOTTO campaign would be fun. It was disastrous experience if I am perfectly honest. Credits to all the staff at WXYZ bar and also all the staff at MaI Bar. That was the only place I could actually find some peace through out my stay this time round. Also the nice malay lady at front desk. I didn't get to have her name but she has always been helpful in the past. Rosa and Yats, you both are ever this amazing making our stay memorable. On the whole, this trip was really not the usual A+ experience I had in the past. Very disappointed with Aloft KLS this time. March 25, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Thumbs Up Stayed here multiple times and this time I brought my parents along! They were amazed with what Aloft KLS had to offer. Keep up the good work! Looking forward to my upcoming stay during the YOTTO end of March! March 5, 2015
