Rated 5 out of 5 by unexpectedly fabulous How often do you arrive at a major city's transit bus/train station and cross the road to a super fine hotel? That's Aloft in KL. It was a total surprise and a welcome change after three weeks travel. Perfect location, great facilities, sleek and friendly. It was so good to arrive. The front desk was flight control central, very smooth. Rooftop infinity pool, excellent food, great staff, and, wait for it, plunger coffee. It's such good value. Not to be missed in KL. Rated 5 out of 5 by Aloft KL Sentral is Awesome! I had a visit to the hotel's rooftop bar earlier this year and since then always wanted to stay in Aloft KL Sentral. I spent my last day in KL in this Hotel and the place is just awesome. From the very first impression of the staff in the front desk to the bell boys who directed me to my room, everyone was so professional and helpful. What actually attracts me the most is the interior of the hotel and the rooms, very modern, trendy and colourful. Simply Love it! August 17, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Hotel with excellent facilities! The location of the cozy hotel is just a few footsteps from KL Sentral. Free usage of computers with internet facilities are very suitable to resume our business chores even we are away from offices. Gym with updated facilities and rooftop swimming pool have energized ourselves during the stay. The prompt attentions given by the staff to our requests and problems also impressed us very much! Rated 5 out of 5 by This Hotel have great and friendly staff. kudos to Gurpal Singh as he was very helpful and managed to attend to our request for my family members during our stay at the Aloft KL.Me and my family was unable to get return ticket to singapore in the afternoon only manage to get train ticket at 2230 hours. I personally asked Gurpal Singh for the late check out on that day and he willingly grant us the late check out and to my surprised he let us to be in the hotel till 1700 hours. i was so touched for hiss concern and care for my family...I guess no other hotel can grant us this request. Kudos Gurpal Singh. .......The pool was fantastic and the staff are very friendly.....I would definitely come again with my family and recommend to my friends.. Rated 5 out of 5 by 2 nights at KL Sentral We chose this hotel for its excellent location at KL Sentral and stayed for 2 nights. The level of customer care is amazing and the hotel itself is lovely - modern, clean, stylish and with every modern comfort the traveller requires. It offered a left luggage facility which was perfect for us as we went on to spend a few days outside KL which meant we didnt have to carry all our stuff with us (we are on a 2 month vacation). Rated 3 out of 5 by No frills hotel A suitable location for travellers especially to KLIA or LCCT. Hotel is conveniently located to Sentral station where trains are available. Room are very basic & can be improved if a coffee table & a usable sofa or chair is preferred ; to the current "cartoon like" mini two seater placed beneath the TV! (a very odd idea)? Need to provide 4pillows instead of 3. Most staffs are too inexperienced to understand what the true meaning of "service & hospitality". December 16, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Convenient location, but very hard to find at night We arrived at KL Sentral station around 10:30 PM so it was almost empty. There were no signs in the train station directing guests to the hotel unlike the other hotels. It took us about 30 minutes to find the hotel with taxi staff directing us in the right direction. The room was very new and clean, but the quality of the toiletries could be improved. Front Desk staff was nice, but there was no SPG Gold member upgrade upon check in, and check out was fast. Rated 2 out of 5 by Slow action at Reception counter Newest SPG hotel in Kuala Lumpur. Very clean room and easy access to airport train, city train and monorail. Unfortunately, you have to allocate time for check-in and check-out. Check-in que. It takes more than 5 minutes waiting my turn to to check-in and takes another 10 minutes to get room keycard. Check-out que, 13minutes queuing and another 7 minutes for verification. Only 3 out of 4 Reception counter available even though very long que at the counter. September 2, 2013
Rated 3 out of 5 by Good location for the hotel Train interchange to the city and to the airport is just next door. Good location, many restaurants at the train station. Very comfy bed and good amenities in the room. However the hotel personnels need to be train. As an SPG members, the recognition were not given. I was even given a messy room which was not ready when I checked in at 7pm. Overall my experience staying there does not meet my expectation of A Loft being part of the Starwood Hotel members. Rated 5 out of 5 The Welcome out last the stay What a truly amazing feel of welcome, in terms of staff from Doormen to Reception to F&B Staff. These guys just makes it a home away from home, and its as if they already know you. Have stayed in numerous business 5 star hotels and none have ever given me these lasting impression. At the end of my trip i went to lunch at your F&B outlet and i was blown away by the simple Sago gula melaka with jack fruit....I'm coming back. My compliments to your service. July 31, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Modern and Simplisticly Designed Hotel at Good Location Our stay in Aloft Kuala Lumpur met our expectation of what a 4-star hotel has to offer. The room and the toilet are spacious. The room interior design is modern looking, neat and simplistic, minus the sophisticated design of 5-star hotel. The roof top swimming pool is cool enough. BUT UNFORTUNATELY IT CLOSES AT 7PM, which is a bad decision. They should open it until 9pm daily for guests to have a nice late swim in the evening while enjoying the sunset. September 14, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 Great Stay Hi, I have tried Aloft for my last 2 stays in KL. Overall the staffs are nice and friendly. I like the room cause it is very spacious and comfort. However, I would suggest to improve the food quality. I always like to call for room dine in and i have tried few selection from your room dine in menu, the food quality is really below my expectation compared to Le Meridien KL. If this can be improved, I am sure it will make Aloft a perfect choice to stay November 17, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Passion equals excellence. Aloft KL is located in the most accessible part of Kuala Lumpur. I would perfectly recommend you to stay here especially if it is your first time in KL. The Aloft talents are very professional and very efficient, for a hotel which is just newly opened, I'm impressed with how properly trained each staff are and how passionate each of them to their job. This is already my fourth visit in this property this year and I will definitely come back for more. October 31, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Great location, great pool Had a brilliant stay from start to end. Room had a great view overlooking the city and was a really generous size. Rooftop pool definitely a plus and location great only 5 stops on the tube to KLCC and cheap taxi fares as well. Would definitely recommend. Easy to get in from airport as well on KLIA express. Staff really friendly and attentive, liked the casual laid back atmosphere however still professional. April 11, 2014

Rated 4 out of 5 by good experience what I like about this hotel are: 1- super fast internet free access. 2- cool interior design 3- 24 gym 4- for SPG members the personal welcome note waiting at the room when check-in what I wish to comment on (not necessarily for hotel to improve) 1- room service after 11:00 p.m (not many options) 2- pillows and bed are not as comfortable as other SPG hotels. overall aloft experience is great and definitely will recommend the hotel to others! Rated 4 out of 5 by Stay a stone's throw away the most happening areas in KL Aloft is relative new in KL, with its close proximity to KL Sentral , travelling around KL using the trains will be your next best bet, take this chance absorb the culture and people of Malaysia. Head down town to golden triangle of KL and shop to you drop! We enjoyed our stay here, we headed over to Mai Bar for some drinks before heading back . There is a new mall in progress called Nu Sentral, which will make shopping even more accessible ! November 18, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Aloft Sentral KL are above and beyond expectations! Booked Aloft as we enjoy trying out new hotels. Unfortunately this was such a short business trip (only 1 night). However, we thoroughly enjoyed 1. the infinity pool (views of Kl sentral, cheap drinks and poolside service), 2. Great buffet breakfast (best choice of fresh fruit and vege ever!), 3. Fantastic modern rooms (spacious and modern design), 4. Location (extremely convenient, right next to the central train station. Thanks very much! September 25, 2013

Rated 3 out of 5 by Pretentious Rooftop pool is good, but the dominant theme is the bar and (not very good) DJ, making the pool unsuitable for relaxation, but great if you want a mini Ibiza experience. DJ plays loud through to the early hours, so don’t expect to be able to sleep and be ready for that early morning flight. Very new hotel, but already has grubby shower areas. Disappointing for a hotel chain with ambitions to be a global 5* company. A good 3* hotel though. Beware of expensive bar downstairs (no one seems to use it, gives a clue about costs). Check in is a relatively lengthy process (computer system slow?). Check out is speedy though, there is a drop off box for key card. Ideal location for airport and rail connections, ted are better location though if you want to be in the main centre of the city. Connecting metro line is about 10 mins walk through a building site. Rated 3 out of 5 by Poor service from staff We called the hotel and confirmed a room layout of 2 queen beds a few weeks prior to arrival in KL, as we were a couple traveling with a 4 year old. It first took us over an hour of waiting after a long flight just to check in. We decided to leave the long line and go get dinner as our son was very hungry. We returned and had another long wait in the line. When we did reach the check in desk, the lady at the desk insisted that we would like a room with a king bed better because they had a special bed for kids that they could set up in the room. I was skeptical but was told that people specifically request for this bed. I asked if it was big enough for a 4 year old and was told that it accommodates kids up to 12 years of age. By now, it was around midnight and we go to the room only to find they had put a baby crib in the room! I came back downstairs and let them know. They then asked me to wait and got the "fancy kids' bed" put in the room. With a tent, etc., attached, there was no space to even move in the room. I was quite mad and my family very tired. I had to come back downstairs again, show a picture of what the room looked like, and insist that I be given my original reservation of two Queen beds. All of this happened while our son was ready to drop off to sleep anywhere and we just kept waiting for the staff to get organized. I took the suggestion of the lady at the desk in good faith only to realize that the hotel was trying to hold on to the rooms with 2 Queen beds as they were fully booked that week. This was a part business, part holiday trip for us and that check in experience left a very bad impression. We finally could settle into our room only after 1 AM even though we arrived at the hotel at around 8:30 PM. Very poor service. I also heard from other colleagues that rooms were not cleaned the next day. June 30, 2014
Rated 3 out of 5 by Great location, great service, limited option. The location is prime and strategic. The service of the staffs are top notch. Room is spacy and very pleasent but besides that all, the food and beverage is terrible. Very little choice of food after 1030pm and the quality is inhumane. Fitness centre is just another room and its not very encouraging. I asked the front desk and was told that there is no spa. For a prime located hotel, suppose to have a spa centre for exhausted travelers. July 13, 2013
Rated 2 out of 5 by Terrible experience with payment When the hotel was booked my credit card was charged and paid about 40 day earlier. When I checked in they say payment not make and i show all document i could to say payment already taken,' Spend a total of almost 2 hours in the front desk in the next 3 nights trying to solve this hotel internal issue. My suggestion to all travellers to this hotel,, DO NOT prepaid. and SPG do not get recognized here as well. March 24, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Unique hotel with poor front desk service and an awful SPG experience The hotel is conveniently located right off the central station. The rooms are spacious, the entertainment is Aloft-style, infinity pool is amazing, food and service at Nook restaurant is very good. On a negative side-the front desk is poorly trained and not welcoming (checkout experience at 6am was very bad, two staff members didn`t care at all). Carpet wasn`t cleaned properly during our five night stay. Had to wait for over and hour and then call again for something I requested in person at the front desk. The points the property transferred were twenty times less than it should have been. There was an extra charge for a charity donation I didn`t authorize (make sure you check the bill, otherwise you might see a surprise). Mixed experience and too many issues for a brand new hotel. Ok if you want just a room, but bad if you want hospitality as well. October 16, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by More than what we expect! To celebrate my son 11 years old birthday, we plan just to get away from home for quiet time. The hotel surprised us with PS4 installed in the room and a team of hotel staffs brought birthday cake and balloons to the room, I made my son to open the door and it was really shocking to him. Rated 5 out of 5 by Excellent hotel in town It was my second stay in this hotel. My first stay in this cool design hotel was giving me full of surprises. Then I decided to stay here again during my transit flight and celebrate my birthday as well. Aloft KL Sentral gave me so much convenience to town, airport, shopping malls and etc during my stay here. Not forget the WXYZ bar, I met my friends here and we really had good time. Rated 3 out of 5 by This hotel needs improvement at reception management and housekeeping Poor customer handling at check-out counter.I was waiting in queue (2nd in line) for check-out,however, there was a another staff by the side idling at the check-out counter,holding a phone,fumbling as if she was busy.I waited in queue. Another customer just bypass the queue and asked her if he could check-in. She just handled his check-in,even though the area was marked for check-out.And she did not even signal me to go to her for check-out (since she acted busy). Aloft KL Sentral should keep up with the friendliness and customer service at the reception area (as per other SPG hotel). House keeping in the room also needs improvement. The room provided as dusty, I ended up getting allergy when I utilised the additional pillow taken from the cupboard. It was so dusty. Appreciate that SPG and Aloft can improve on these. I am still keeping loyal to SPG hotels. September 22, 2013
