The staff specifically Ricardo Echevari sold us on choosing this venue. We loved everything about it and would certainly revisit in the future. Kudos to Ricardo for his great recommendation!

Overall my experience at the hotel was above average. It's converted office building into a hotel and so if feels "converted" in many ways. Met my expectations however. Staff was very responsive.

I stayed in this hotel for four days for business. I was very happy with the room and the facilities. There is nearby construction with makes it difficult at times to get into the hotel, but that is obviously not Alof's fault.
My main issue was with the front desk personnel. I checked in and the gentleman who attended me was only mildly friendly and then checked me into a room that was already occupied - which I learned as I tried to get into the room. After I realized what had occurred and came back downstairs to the front desk, there was no apology. I also gave him my tax exempt form since I was traveling with the government, and asked him to make sure the form was entered.
But, upon checkout, the same gentleman was my attendant. I asked him to print out a copy of my receipt because given my prior experience with him, I just wanted to make sure everything was correct. As he was checking me out, I even asked him to confirm my tax exempt status was reflected in the bill. He said yes.
The attendant then goes on to print out my bill with taxes in the bill, even though I had just asked about that. Somehow, when I brought that up to him it seemed to have caught him off guard. He then could not find the form I had turned in upon check out and it took a while for him and another attendant to figure out what to do. Eventually, the female attendant was able to fix the bill, and I was able to leave. Overall, I was not used to a front desk staff paying so little attention to detail, it was unfortunate.
I will say there was one woman who worked at the front desk and the cook who served breakfast who were fantastic.
Overall, the hotel was nice and I had a perfectly acceptable stay - I just expected more from an Aloft.

When I made the reservation I requested late check out. It even gave me the option to select from different late check out times. I selected the latest one they had which was 4PM. Everything seemed to be confirmed to check out at 4pm. Well we were so harassed by the front desk staff, that we had to leave at 2PM. They claimed they were unaware of it. Not only did they harassed us, but they charged us 50.00. Quite honestly, I don't mind to pay extra to check out late, but at least let me know there will be a charge. When I chose late check out, it didn't mention anything about the extra charge. Didn't appreciate being harassed, didn't appreciate not having room service. Didn't appreciate anything about this hotel. First and last time I stay here.

This hotel is in the downtown core and is a short walk to the Magic games and also a block from all the nightlife and restaurants there. The staff was very friendly, acknowledged my status and paid attention to my general desires concerning room location. The upgraded room was really nice with 2 TVs.

Rated 5 out of 5 by BP0514 The staff of this hotel are outstanding.
The staff of the Orlando, Florida ALoft are the most awesome people I have ever met while traveling. My wife had a medical emergency during our stay and the staff took care of everything from calling EMS, clearing the valet parking area for EMS access, holding the elevator, and immediately cleaning the room after EMS took her to the hospital. They asked about her every time I saw one of the staff with real compassion. The staff brought her flowers and a get well card after she returned from the hospital. This is well beyond the expectations of us and makes us really feel like family.
Our sincere thanks to the management and staff of the Orlando Aloft Hotel.
