It was my first time staying at the Aloft so I had high expectations. The rooom diid not fit my needs with the tiny closet and no drawers for other items. Glad my husband was not with me...I'm sure we both would not have been able to fit our clothes or tolitries in that room. The light switches were confusing and I never was able to only put a bathroom light on with out lighting up the whole room as my daughter was sleeping! Also the remote had no guide or channel up or down button. Again I was frustrated trying to find the olympics station! I really couldn't wait to leave that room.

Rated 5 out of 5 by PMB214 The weekend was great
It was perfect for a fun girls weekend! The room had a great view of the mountains and was close to things we wanted to do. The hotel has everything we needed.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Collegetourmom college visit
We recently stayed at the Aloft Tucson while making a college campus visit with our high school son.
The location is very good and close to campus. Easy to find, easy access to and from the freeway.
Front Desk: Very friendly, knowledgable and competent.
Hotel amenities: Lobby has lots of snack options, cute display of same and some entertainment options. We did not use any of these.
Guest Room. Hall to the guest room was clean, in good condition and quite attractive.
Guest room itself seemed quite minimalist but lacked sophistication in the execution. Lighting could have been better particularly on the long desk top wall. Additional plugs for technology on the desk wall would have been appreciated as well. The room was initially quite cold and it took some time for the room to warm up. Since I arrived ill it was a bit of a tough transition.
Decor wise I was not a fan. As a long time commercial design industry veteran the room appeared to be a "Interior design college project". It did not remind me of a Starwood property. But it was also my first Aloft property. Not sure I would select one again.
Price/value: I felt the room cost was more expensive than the perceived value.
Overall I was pleased with service, location and cleanliness but would try other lodging options should we ultimately choose UA. College campuses are not usually great in the lodging category but they should be.

Rated 4 out of 5 by emans Ask for a mountain view
We were placed in a room facing the mountains on the 6th floor. A beautiful view! We chose the "green option" and never had our room serviced, although the room was very clean when we entered. Overall, our stay was great.
A few minor negatives-- when ordering a breakfast sandwich, it took FOREVER to get it. Make sure you plan accordingly and build in about 20 extra minutes for some eggs to be cooked and an english muffin to be toasted. Also-- despite being new, the room walls still seem pretty thin. I listened to people talking, etc on a Sunday night at 3 am. We were the second to last room on the hall, but still the noise seemed excessive for the space.
