Rated 2 out of 5 by Great hotel. Frustratingly bad front desk staff. The hotel itself, as is true with every Aloft stay I've had, was great and a favorite chain for travel. The price was solid too for downtown Atlanta. Their front desk staff are just not very competent. I requested a room bill at check out; they couldn't get one printed and promised to email my folio, which I needed for business expense reporting. A week later, after it never arrived, I called them. After about 20 rings, I got an answer, and then was put on hold twice (without warning or asking), transferred, I was told "this is so-and-so, how may I help you?" *five* different times and had to repeat my request. By the end of the call I was infuriated, quite unnecessarily. The fellow who ended up finally getting me what I needed felt it was necessary to argue with me (that I was not put on hold twice, interrupted me to ask my name--again, etc). This staff is badly in need of some customer service training and/or additional help to cover their workload. Based on this experience they are inefficient, unable to handle the level of work required, and just not pleasant to deal with. To their credit, this may be on the hotel for not giving them adequate training or sufficient coverage. Reluctantly I will probably try to find a different place to stay next time to avoid such painful experience. Aloft: I suggest you start automatically sending folios or putting printouts under doors to avoid even having to go thru the woeful front desk. October 7, 2016
Rated 2 out of 5 by Don't Waste Your Time This was a disappointing stay, to say the least. The staff seemed distracted and not knowledgeable about hotel policies. I waited almost 10 minutes to be checked in. Then when I got my room, I tried to call down to the front desk but my phone was not making outbound calls. I asked if there was food available and the front desk said I could order from a preferred restaurant or could order online and just tell him when my food arrived so he could send them up. When the time came, a different man called to say I had to come down and get the food because sending drivers up was against company policy. Given I had just showered and was in pajamas, this was not ideal. I would have appreciated an offer to bring the food to my room, given that they had miscommunicated in the first place. Staying in a hotel should feel like you're being taken care of and I had the opposite feeling here. Will not be coming back. October 7, 2016

Rated 3 out of 5 by Fair experience Air conditioning in the room is blowing directly on the beds and having cold air blowing on my head is not a good indication for sleep. Of course, you can turn the air conditioning down and temperature in the room will increase so, I was not able to sleep. At the check-out they asked me if I wanted the receip via email and I opted for an YES. Never received it and it took several phone calls to get somebody on the phone to actually get it. Rated 5 out of 5 by Wonderful Weekend Stay Stayed over the last weekend in July for the DCI Southeast Regional in the Georgia Dome. This hotel is PERFECT! Outstanding customer service from check-in to check-out. Clean facility, Super Friendly, courteous and considerate to our needs. Would have liked to see some low carb snack options in the lobby store. Otherwise great stay and within a short walk to all that the area has to offer. Will see you all again soon! August 4, 2016
