Rated 5 out of 5 by Dschaegga Stay at Aloft Atlanta
One of the best Aloft experiences in recent memory.
The staff was exceptional and very helpful. I will be back the next time I am in Atlanta.

Rated 5 out of 5 by SherryK Wonderful Weekend Stay
Stayed over the last weekend in July for the DCI Southeast Regional in the Georgia Dome. This hotel is PERFECT! Outstanding customer service from check-in to check-out. Clean facility, Super Friendly, courteous and considerate to our needs. Would have liked to see some low carb snack options in the lobby store. Otherwise great stay and within a short walk to all that the area has to offer. Will see you all again soon!

Rated 1 out of 5 by Eph10001 Disappointing Experience, unworthy of Starwood
This was the second time I've stayed in an Aloft property, the first time being in Green Bay for a work trip which was a nice stay and great room. I stayed at this Aloft because of its proximity to a large conference that booked many of the surrounding hotels including other Starwood properties. This was one of the worst experiences I've had with a Starwood hotel.
The two main issues were staff and our room, but there were many other small issues that made for an underwhelming experience. Room: in bathroom there is no water guard and the water from the shower overflows into the rest of the bathroom. Despite drains this was a poor design there is no pitch for the drainage and for 4 days we stood in soggy towels whenever we had to use the bathroom. Blinds malfunctioned and would not go up or down. Rooms are quite small, which Is understandable but was not given any options or lip service at check-in for upgrade with elite status which is a stated benefit of the program. Would expect an attempt be made as I experience most elsewhere.
Staff/Service: the room issues themselves would be ok if the customer experience were like it is generally in other Starwood properties, but this one is truly poor service. While I was there for work and my wife came to relax in the hotel, we separately had several poor customer service exeperience each with the front desk and calling down from the room repeatedly to address small issues like the blinds or simply to get room service menus. Why should we have to call 2 or 3 times over an hour period in order to be helped? Front desk staff in person were more busy talking to each other than addressing the customers in front of them including me and my wife on several and separate occasions with different personnel. We are not complainers, so my reason for taking the time to write this is because it was far out of the norm for my usual SPG experience. It was obvious there was a pattern here and not isolated issues, which is why I would not stay in this hotel again or recommend it to others.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Unhappy75 Frustration awaits you
Our stay was incredibly less than what we expected from Aloft. The website states queen beds, but they are not. The confirmation email state $20 for guest parking but they charge you $22 at the desk even if you show them the email (why are you charging your guest anyway?) We had an issue with the noise in the room beside both nights us and the front desk told me to deal with it myself. Front desk staff were not knowledgeable about the area - or she chose to give us bad directions on purpose - we walked a mile out of the way. When we returned I pointed out to her she sent us the wrong way and she laughed. I asked to speak to a manager and was told he was only there on weekdays so I'd have to call after my stay. I left a VM for the GM and another 'manager' called me back instead. I was told they would credit me for parking, yet I have no credit as of today and it's been over a week. This hotel needs to be removed form the aloft name as I they are ruining their reputation. Our company will never use this location again. The ONLY good thing was the personable bartender.... that's it.

All furniture uncomfortable, especially in guest room. Employees more focused on friends, phones, & each other rather than guests

I don't really have any complaints about the hotel itself other than what has been noted by previous travelers, but since I travel on a GA state contract, it is essential that the billing be correct, and it wasn't. Additionally, when I called the accountant, she indicated she couldn't do anything about the tax exempt charge unless I resubmitted the form, which I had submitted when I checked it. The whole series of run around that I encountered through an error made by the staff was just inexcusable. Initially my call was not returned, then I was informed that I had to resubmit the form because I should have done something different with it upon check in (though the very nice person who checked me in assured me that it would be noted and taken care of). I have so much other stuff to do that the time it takes to get adjusted travel billing, and now two phone calls, delaying my travel reimbursement just isn't worth it.
