Value,clean,happy helpfull staff. Great swimmin pool on the roof with a view. Excellent reasonably priced cusine in hotel restaurant.

The Aloft Cancun is a wonderful hotel! The staff is very friendly, the restaurant serves up some tasty food, and the rooftop pool has an amazing view! My wife and I stayed there for three nights and absolutely loved it. The design throughout the hotel is funky and modern, my favorite thing was the floor in the elevator, it's a squishy liquid gel that changes colors and shapes when you step on it.
We had a ocean view room on the corner of the building and could see a different body of water out of each window since the hotel is located on the point of the "seven shape" of the hotel zone.
I got to be friends with the bartender at the WXYZ bar, Charlie, he's a great guy and makes the most amazing margarita I've ever had, and I would consider myself to be a connoisseur.
The hotel is located in heart of the nightlife action and has plenty of restaurants near by.
They also gave us free entrance passes to the Mandala Beach Club during the day, which was is a really nice place with several swimming pools, lounge chairs with umbrellas on beach, and food and beverage service.
We can't wait to return to the Aloft Cancun!

good location near Hard Rock Cafe. new hotel with good facility. swim pool on the roof is a plus with public free wifi.

Stayed 4 nights in October (off season) 2013. Great staff (thanks Rafael!) Friendly and helpful on all fronts and locations. Location is great for walking to clubs and the ocean - be sure to get a free pass to Mandala Beach Club for ocean access from the front desk. Pool is nice, though on the smaller side. Rooms were comfortable, though slightly disappointed the windows didn't open. Overall, a great hotel for the value.

Hotel is brand new and did not seem ready to open. They would not honor SPG gold amenities or room upgrades. The room had a coffee maker but no coffee. In 5 days they could not find me any. Had to ask for basic things like soap and a do not disturb sign. Located in the noisiest most traffic prone area of the hotel zone. Getting to the hotel from either direction at night sometimes took an hour even though it may be just a mile. Finally, the valet parking ramp was built too steep, leading to cosmetic damage to the bottom end of rental cars, which you then have to deal with at the airport. I love Starwood, but never again at Aloft.
