Overview

The mission of the Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide Foundation (the "Foundation") is to mobilize Starwood's unique assets and core business competencies to empower individuals and communities to achieve sustainable positive action. Strategic giving allows Starwood to address global priorities while continuing to meet unique local needs. Through grant contributions, employee volunteerism, guest engagement and in-kind support, the Foundation helps individuals and communities reach their full potential.

Charitable Giving

Starwood grant making is done by invitation only. If you are interested in sending Starwood information about your organization or community program for future consideration, please read the following guidelines prior to submitting your request.

Guidelines

The Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide corporate office invites a limited number of organizations with a national or international focus to apply for a grant. If you are submitting an inquiry for future consideration, please read the following guidelines carefully and thoroughly. Please note that due to the great volume of requests that we receive, we regret that we will be unable to review requests that do not conform to these guidelines.

Criteria for Funding

• The organization must be a public charity, 501(c)3 or international equivalent
• The organization must have a national or international audience. If you are inquiring on behalf of a local organization or interested in obtaining a hotel stay auction package, you should contact the Starwood hotel(s) in your area directly.

Submitting Your Request

As previously stated, all grant making is done by invitation only. Please note that we are not accepting external requests for funding at this time. If you are submitting a request for future consideration, you must follow the steps below to submit your inquiry. We do not accept requests over the phone or by mail.

• All requests for funding must be submitted electronically to charitablegiving@starwoodhotels.com.
• Please include the following items in your email:
  • 501(c)3 determination letter
  • Program or organization information
  • Type of request (sponsorship, programming support, etc.)
  • Your contact information
• You will receive an automatic confirmation email once you submit your request. We review every inquiry and will contact you if the program is in alignment with our charitable giving strategy.
• All grant recipients are required to submit a scope of work prior to obtaining funding. Further detail will be provided if your organization is invited to apply for a grant. We will ask for a brief history of your organization, its overall goals, what the organization has accomplished, and specifically how our donation will help you achieve impact in your focus area.
• We cannot expedite a funding decision. All of our funding decisions are made by a grant review committee that meets on a monthly basis to review proposals.
