Eat Local, Think Global is Starwood’s Sustainable Food & Beverage policy to support Fair Trade practices, promote locally sourced, organic and sustainable ingredients, and minimize the use of over-harvested or endangered animals and plants in our food and beverage venues.
We work closely with the Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP), an independent not-for-profit organization that provides a global system for companies and cities to measure, disclose, manage and share environmental information.
We acknowledge and respect the principles contained in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. Starwood’s Human Rights Policy reflects the Company’s commitment to conduct its business in a manner consistent with these principles and to protect human rights within the company’s sphere of influence.
We recognize that we have a responsibility around the world to help play a critical role in increasing awareness and prevention of human trafficking. Starwood’s commitment to this issue is reflected in the industry-wide Position Statement.
