TAKECARE RELIEF FUND

Overview

The TakeCare Relief Fund (TCRF) provides need-based financial grants to associates at managed Marriott International locations* who are facing financial hardship immediately after a natural disaster or an unforeseen personal hardship. TCRF is administered by Emergency Assistance Foundation, Inc., a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization providing emergency relief grants.

History

The TakeCare Relief Fund was created in the spirit of the Starwood Associate Relief Fund, Inc. (SARF), established in 2006 by Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide, Inc. to provide need-based financial grants to associates facing hardship caused by natural disasters and other catastrophes. From its inception through 2017, SARF has distributed over 3,000 grants totaling over 4.8M USD worldwide. Following the 2016 merger with Marriott International, Inc., all remaining assets of SARF are dedicated to the Emergency Assistance Foundation to create the new TakeCare Relief Fund.
