Mark R. Vondrasek

Senior Vice President, Distribution, Loyalty and Partnership Marketing

Mr. Vondrasek is Senior Vice-President, Distribution, Loyalty and Partnership marketing for Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide, Inc. Mr. Vondrasek heads Starwood’s central Distribution channels, Starwood’s award-winning loyalty program – Starwood Preferred Guest (SPG), and all strategic global partnership relationships. He has been in his current position since 2006.

In his Distribution role, Mr. Vondrasek leads 2,000 Starwood associates in nine Customer Contact Centers around the world and oversees Starwood’s branded websites, which are available in eleven global languages and frequented by nearly 400 million unique visitors a year.

Mr. Vondrasek has helped take Starwood’s award-winning SPG program to new heights. Starting with its groundbreaking No Blackouts policy, SPG has built on its legacy of innovation with a series of successful, new initiatives in recent years under Mr. Vondrasek’s direction such as SPG Flights, Free Weekends,Your 24, Lifetime and the first i-phone application launched by a hotel loyalty program.

Starwood’s most important strategic partnerships are overseen by Mr. Vondrasek and his team. These include Starwood’s alliance with American Express, including a co-branded card for SPG members, and the SPG partnership with Live Nation, through which SPG sponsors tours for top-tier artists and behind the scenes access, Delta Airlines, Coca Cola and F1 Petronas.

Previously, Mr. Vondrasek was responsible for streamlining Starwood’s Customer Contact Centers and developing Starwood’s global web strategy. Before joining Starwood in 2001, Mr. Vondrasek worked in the financial services industry, leading operating teams at Fidelity Investments and Kemper Financial Services.

Mr. Vondrasek earned a Bachelor’s degree from the University of St. Thomas in Minnesota and a Masters in Business Administration from Loyola University in Chicago.
