Starwood's hotels and resorts are vibrant, fun places to work, and there is a genuine sense of caring and concern. Each of our hotels and resorts defines their culture in its own way, and we encourage that type of uniqueness. As such, you will find different social and team building activities at each hotel. Each year, the Director of Human Resources schedules a number of on-site and off-site activities for associates to participate in. They range from casual picnics to formal dinners to community service activities.

Rewards & Recognition
We never take outstanding performance for granted. Starwood managers are invited and encouraged to celebrate personal successes on a regular basis. In particular, we like to highlight and recognize behaviors of our associates that make our guests' experience unique and memorable. Starwood's recognition programs aim to foster a culture in which our associates feel valued for their accomplishments, while promoting behaviors that support the company's business objectives.

Every hotel and resort provides individual reward and recognition in their own unique way. In most cases, individual associates are recognized in a public presentation among their peers. Management rewards positive work behaviors with public recognition, and in many cases, tangible rewards.
