Getting Around

By Train

  • If you prefer to travel by train, Amtrak offers extensive service to Boston. Most trains—including those on the popular Washington-New York-Boston route—arrive in Boston’s South Station right in the heart of downtown. There are plenty of rental car options nearby, and the station is directly connected to the city subway system.

Lexington is in Boston’s western suburbs, which are connected to the city by the MBTA commuter rail line. Lexington itself doesn’t have an MBTA stop but is within 15 minutes from several other towns on the Fitchburg line, with Belmont as the closest one if you’re coming from Boston.
