Rated 2 out of 5 by Khadi Not relaxing
My husband and I stayed from a Friday to Sunday. While the room was clean and bed comfy, the walls were too thin. There was a couple staying next door with their baby. Not only did I hear the baby crying, talking, and playing all day and night, I heard the couple on the phone and simply having regular conversation amongst each other. Then, the dogs. I heard large dogs barking every day I was there from different guests. Needles to say, I got very lil sleep and was quite lethargic for my trip back to Los Angeles. However, the staff was pleasant and the gym was clean and easily accessible. I would not stay there again unless I planned on not getting much sleep and being out of my room the majority of the time.

I have been here many times and enjoyed my stay most of the time. However, when the toilet inside lid has brown splash and the tamps have a week worth of dust. I was not pleased. The sofa pillows are in need of cleaning. I certainly hope this is an isolated situation.

Rated 5 out of 5 by bw2007 A very pleasant surprise
First time Element guests and we will surely com back here again! It is about 20-minutes away from the strip so this can be a downside for some. But not for us. We stayed here with our son and we were more than pleasantly surprised. It is very refreshing to know this excellent hotel is available in Las Vegas as a get-away from the strip option - without the casinos and the smoke wafting everywhere. The entire facility is superbly clean and well maintained, and the environment relaxing, quiet, zen-like. The hot breakfast is surely very nice to wake up to in the morning!

Rated 4 out of 5 by Michael2000 One of the Best, but...
I have frequented many of the higher-end Starwood locations and I have to admit the I simply LOVE this hotel - both for comfort and value.
I have satyed at this hotel for 10 days last year and 10 days this year.
The ONLY issue with the hotel which made me decide not to come again is cleanliness... and more specifically -
1. towels - it was amazing and disturbing to find out that every day, at least one of them was stained with pseudo-blood and/or other gnarly-looking stains. Also, most of them appeared worn-out and greyish (they began their lives as white...)
2. floor and carpets - simply dirty. you couldn't walk around in the room without having yuur feet blackened with dirt. we actually had to stop by a store and buy slippers to walk around in the room...
3. couches - worn out, stained and with holes in them which were not-so-professionaly stitched.
This is truly a waste of an amazing spot with amazing view and great facilities.
Knowing Starwood, I am sure that if someone decides to take care of these issues, they can be eliminated faily easily and quickly.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Erica13 Very Nice Hotel in Summerlin
A very nice "general need" hotel. We stayed here for a nearby family reunion. Clean, modern, comfortable. Not luxurious, romantic or fancy, although nice beds and bedding. Prides itself on being a "Green property" which is great! Very good breakfast. Modern, clean decor although a bit steriile. Green does not have to be so sparce, and ironically the lobby and elevator had a slight smell of cleaning chemicals when we arrived. The 20-min from the strip location is in a business/medical facility park close to typical "suburban" amenities. Nice pool area. Easy to get to the strip. Service was good. LEO (housekeeping) and GRANT (front desk) were particularly helpful to us. All in all a very good experience. Would stay again.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Bob86 Very dissatisfied with my stay
I have been a regular visitor to this hotel for nearly three years. However, the last few visits I have been increasingly dissatisfied. After this experience, I plan to stay elsewhere the next time I am in the Las Vegas area.
Among my concerns:
1. I was dissatisfied with my room. The first room had a defective mattress and the second had a defective air conditioner.
2. The room I ended up in had a door to the next room. Even through it was closed, so much noise came through that I had to sleep with earplugs.
3. On one elevator trip, another guest with a large dog got on the elevator. The dog was not under control and jumped on me. This is not the fault of the hotel, but the fact that I need to expect this to happen in this hotel adds to my concerns about staying here again.
4. Finally, when I went to check out, the front desk was unattended. The person in front of me waited for over a minute before walking off in disgust. I waited another minute and finally had to shout for help which brought someone out from the back.
None of these may seem significant, but during my stay I did NOT feel like a “Gold Preferred Member” and I left the building certain that I wanted to stay somewhere else on my next trip.

This hotel is showing great signs of wear. The overall experience was unsatisfactory compared to a typical stay at a Starwood Property.

Things I love about this hotel: no casino!, ecologically oriented, super clean, responsive to room requests, fantastic breakfast, wonderful well stocked kitchen area in room (be sure to check whether you are booking a full kitchen which includes a cooktop or whether you are booking a partial kitchen with only a microwave), helpful staff, accessible fitness room, computer with internet for public use, and no resort fee. Quiet and away from the activity of the strip, which is a short drive away. Perfect!

Rated 5 out of 5 by SD766 Great experience!
My husband, daughter, and I (+ our pug puppy) stayed at the hotel for four days and had a wonderful time. The staff were uber polite and on top of everything and the hotel was incredibly clean and well kept. As we have family in Las Vegas, we wanted to stay somewhere with a pool but without the hectic vibe a lot of the hotel/casinos can give you AND we wanted to bring our pug along for our trip - and the Element was a perfect fit.
The only negative was that you can hear the people in the room above you so I would recommend the higher floors if possible.

Another Co-Worker and I stayed at the Las Vegas Element this week and I was supposed to stay next week as well but we are moving back to the Courtyard.
I had a movie charge on my room bill and explained to the front desk person when I was checking out that I never even turned on my TV; however, he ignored the charge and continued to process my departure and handing me my bill.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Zonker Best (way) "Off the Strip" hotel in Vegas
I don't like to be pampered by hotels, and the element in Summerlin provides me the best of staying at a really nice, clean property without being "bothered" by staff making sure everthing about my visit is gong fine. When I need their help, they are there to ensure any request has been addressed. I've stayed at this property five times now, and I just love it. Really makes me feel like I'm at home. The free internet enables me to get work done, the DVD player allows me to watch my own videos, the full kitchen really comes in handy with managing what I eat (my friends and I had a BBQ on the last visit 7/2 - 7/4), and the comfy bed ensures I have a nice night's sleep. The property is also well kept and very clean, and the staff is awesome.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Sandys awesome hotel and staff
My only complaint is that I wish there were more element hotels!!! The rooms are amazing. The studio king that I had was wonderful, a full fridge, a microwave, dishwasher, stove... the breakfast was wonderful!!!
But, the best part is the staff. Especially Grant, who went above and beyond to help out!!!
I could not recommend this hotel more highly!!

Rated 4 out of 5 by planejames Great location away from the strip
The Element by Westin was a great alternative away from the strip and conveniently located on HWY 215. The rooms were great for myself, my wife, and my 3 small children. The staff was great and the breakfast buffet was really good. Didn't use the amenities but pool, fitness room, and grounds were well kept. This hotel was not the typical Westin or W that I commonly frequent, but it had the Westin Flair that made it seem so. They had the heavenly shower and hi-end bathroom items so that was great. I would recommend this to others for sure.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Dhddiva nice hotel
The room was great, staff was friendly and helpful. This was a nice location, easy access to freeway. Overall it was a good experience and we would stay there again.
We brought a dog and the only thing regarding pets I was disappointed with was there was no grassy area for the dog. With the heat at that location, it would be good to have a cool place for the dog to go that wasn't burning asphalt or rocks.
When checking in, the promotion I signed up for online was not already in the system, had to start all over with that at the desk.

Rated 2 out of 5 by fangplug Dysfunctional at best
Twice we did not get our room made up in a 5 night stay. Came back the first day at 3:45 room not made up, called desk and they indicated it would be done by 6pm. When we left for dinner we asked if we could have our room made up in the morning as we would be out all day and when we came back around 3 or 4 we would like to rest, they said fine 11 am it was. On the fifth day again no room made up when we got back, we left for dinner at 5:30 asked at the desk for the room to be made up. came back around 9:30 and found fresh towels stacked on the toilet seat, bed was un-made.
Corridor and room was very noisy, heard people yelling and fooling around in the corridors until very late and very early in the morning.
Breakfast was ok, not anything special, same as any other motel.
Air-conditioner blew directly on bed, not good planning.
We are SPG Gold members and have usually been very, very happy with their service and hotels, but we won't recommend or be back to this one!

I would like to acknowledge front desk clerk, "JP" for going above and beyond in his efforts to deliver "stellar customer service." We arrived to find; I had inadvertently booked the room incorrectly to accommodate 2 moms traveling with 2 tweens. JP listened to my dilemma and was able to make arrangements to make our stay perfect. As a Gold Level SPG Member; I like my stays to be problem-free when traveling with friends - and JP made that happen. Kudos to him and the entire staff at The Element - we will definitely be back!

We had a lovely stay in Vegas this week, so much so that we extended our stay by an additional day! We have stayed here before and we REALLY like it. Close enough to the strip without being too close. Delicious free breakfast, outstanding customer support. Friendliest staff I've ever met! My ONLY complaint was that there were a few minor issues in our room ... the light in the bedroom was broken, and some spoons were missing... easily fixed. As I said, the service from the staff at the front desk was outstanding!! We look forward to using this hotel again soon!! :) Oh, one last thing, had no idea there was a grocery store one mile away ... would be nice if there was a package in the room with restaurants, take-out menu's, grocery stores and what else is in the area.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Bryan007 Great Hotel - Great Staff
Our time at the Element was some of the best time we had in Vegas. Out kids (6 and 3) begged to go back to the hotel every time we went out. The loved the breakfast and the wii in the lobby. The large shower was great and the room was extremely comfortable. Above all, the staff was extremely friendly, kind, and helpful. They were rare in a city that seemed so unfriendly. If I ever return to Las Vegas, the Element will be my hotel of choice. In fact, I'll be looking for an Element by Westin everywhere else I travel too!

Rated 5 out of 5 by Smile085 Only Place to Stay Away on Business
I will tell everyone I met to stay at the Element for business or pleasure. My room felt like an extension of my home. It was clean, tastefully decorated, and quite. The quite is a plus when on a business trip and having to get work done. The bed was out of this world it was so comfortable by far the best sleep I’ve gotten on a hotel bed. The staff was warm, friendly, and very helpful. Grant was the evening manager and he helped us find restaurants, stores, and attractions in the area. He was so pleasant and friendly he made us feel very welcomed. The property of the hotel was well maintained and inviting from the pool to the exercise room the feeling of home was in every detail. I loved my stay and looking forward to a return visit but this time for FUN not business.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Miike7124 Second time
second time stayed at the element. Last minute reservation, so accepted handicapped room. Surprised by the size of the room, and layout. It was not possible to view the TV from the bed. The TV was not a big need for us, for one night; but I could not imagine my disabled sister, in a wheelchair, enjoying the room. it would be difficult for her to maneuver her wheelchair between the desk and bed, and the TV location would be a disappointment. Loved the standard room we had the first time we stayed.

I was surprised by the quality of this hotel for the price/ starpointsI loved the trendy and modern loft style. The free breakfast was better than most. The great music in the gym helped my get good workout on the elyptical. I think the bed was the best I've ever slept in! There is nothing around this location but there is a nice path to walk your dog. Ladies I would bring some hair conditioner with you because they only have the 2 in 1 shampoo type. I will definately seek out Element in the future!

Rated 5 out of 5 by JohnThorn Very Relaxing Hotel with Great Service
We had a wonderful stay at the Element in Las Vegas. It is located about a ten minute drive from the strip, right next tot the highway, which is perfect for getting around town and is much quieter than anything downtown. The hotel is beautiful and the bed is one of the best I've ever slept on. Front desk staff were wonderful, Grant brought out bottled water to the pool for us as we were swimming, had my shoes shined one night, and arranged for late check out. The Element made our business/pleasure weekend work out perfectly. The rooms are great, service is top notch, and it is a very relaxing atmosphere. The free breakfast is delicious. If you want the strip go downtown, but if you want an oasis to relax and unwind in between casinos and business meetings I would definitely recommend the Element.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Travforbus Great stay
I stayed for 3 days to go to convention nearby. The room and staff were great. The venue is pleasantly minimalist/modern, but not wanting in any way. The room was immaculate. My 4th floor room had a nice view of the mountains. The housekeeping staff were great when I left my car keys in the room safe. They have mailed them back right away. I think this is the best business hotel I've visited. Clean, comfortable, great staff, and no baloney. BTW, the continental breakfast couldn't be beat.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Ewin7 Great amenities
Great experience at this hotel! Loved that they are pet friendly without a fee (if under the specified weight). Full breakfast offered each morning is wonderful. Hotel is clean, easy to access from freeway, not that far from the strip and other places, and helpful staff. Loved the full kitchen and fridge. Good space for the bathroom and closet. Only thing that could be improved, the bed wasn't as comfortable as I would have expected, it was sort of lumpy, and the pillows are a bit stiff.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Vincos Fantastic New Spin on the Extended-Stay Model
OVERALL IMPRESSION: Breezy, hip, clean - this is the extended-stay option for a new generation of road warriors.
SPG RECOGNITION: Two category upgrade to a One-Bedroom Suite. An excellent Continental Breakfast is already complimentary so I opted for points.
THE ROOM: Excellently-designed and highly functional.
LOCATION: Easy access from the highway. Great location for those with business in Summerlin but also not an unfeasible distance from the Strip.
EXCEEDED EXPECTATIONS: Absolutely stellar service from the reception clerk - JP - who made us feel immediately welcome. Greeted us by name and was totally on-top of our special requests. I suspect superb management from the top because the same enthusiastic approach to service was evident in all the staff - especially our delightful breakfast server.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Spence Glad I stayed here!
I chose the Element for its location and the kitchenette. I was glad I did. It was a quiet location, but very close to the major roadway and only a short drive downtown. And no slot machines in the lobby - that was a pleasant surprise. The staff was very friendly, professional and helpful - special kudos to the afternoon/evening manager - you'll forgive me for not remembering your name, but your knowledge of the area and the available tours made our stay that much more enjoyable.

We were delighted to find full kitchen supplies including stovetop, microwave, full-sized refrigerator/freezer, dishes and utensils, and dish washer. The beds were extraordinarily comfortable with down pillows. Waking up in a strange bed with NO stiff joints is rare and glorious! Front desk staff were helpful, accommodating, and attentive. We loved the full breakfast options, easy help-yourself set-up, and relaxed seating area. This stay was enjoyable in every way.
