Rated 4 out of 5 by Krauzer27 Do not Stay on Second Floor Near Front of Hotel!
Everything stated in the reviews below is quite true. Room was very comfortable and the amenities were extraordinary. Great breakfast, great gym, great room.
I had one bad problem, however, which jaded my experience. I had a room on the second floor above the overhang at the hotel entranceway. After I went to bed, my room was suddenly filled with light. I woke up and thought it was the morning, but I had only been asleep a little while. It turns out that there is a strobe light on the overhang which turned on when it got dark outside (I guess it is supposed to light up the hotel's name sign) but it was pointed directly at my window and no more than a few feet away. Even with the shades closed, I could not make the room dark. I called the front desk a number of times and when no one answered (the clerk was helping someone else at the time and was not at the desk), I got dressed and went downstairs. The clerk went outside with me and I showed him the problem. Sadly, he was not able to turn the strobe light off, and he offered me another room. I was not happy to be changing my room after I had already gone to bed and it was hard to fall asleep again. Assuming they have not taken care of this problem, I would avoid the second floor near the front of the building. Otherwise the hotel was fabulous, but I was not able to get a good night's sleep.

Rated 5 out of 5 by kimberli68 Enjoyed our stay here!
We just returned today from a family trip to Vegas for a basketball tournament (Fab 48). I wasn't looking forward to Vegas. I hate the crowds, the traffic, the card flippers on the strip, etc. My son's team stayed at another hotel/casino close to the strip, but, luckily, it was full when I tried to book a room for my husband and myself. My son had stayed at The Element last year for basketball and recommended we try it. We won't stay anywhere else for our future trips to Vegas!
This was a modern hotel with everything we needed. We didn't use the laundry or the exercise room this time, but are glad to know it is there. Our room was SO quiet, even though there were several basketball teams staying there also. It was away from the strip, but close enough that we could take a quick trip there if we wanted to. There are a lot of great eating places nearby, so we really didn't have to leave the area unless we wanted to.
The breakfast was awesome and not your typical continental breakfast that comes at a lot of hotels. The breakfast sandwiches and smoothies are great! We didn't take advantage of the "Refresh" at night, but others in our group said it was delicious.
The staff was outstanding (with the exception of one of the kitchen staff who yelled at my husband and me for standing in the wrong place in the breakfast area). The housekeeping staff were very friendly and looked very neat and professional. My room was clean and well-kept. This is a pet-friendly facility and although I love my dogs, I have always been a little wary of staying at one. Other than the well-behaved pets in the lobby, there was no way to know that people had their pets there.
Bottom line...I would recommend this hotel to all my friends and family! Thanks Element!

Rated 4 out of 5 by DavidM Great location, Off-Strip
Stayed two nights at the Element this week. First off, the gent at the front desk, Grant I believe, was a classy and very knowledgeable guy. I saw him work an escalation with a customer, and he had it down - knew what to say, and how to say it. He offered me a couple of good recommendations on a show to see, and we talked restaurants my last night in town. He is an asset to the hotel, no doubt about it.
I was provided a very nice room on the 4th floor, a one bedroom suite with a couple of qualifications. First, I was right next to the maintenance room, so it was a bit noisy. I'm a heavy sleeper, so for me, not a big deal. Had my wife been with me, yeah, that would've been a big deal. Second, my windows faced East - so that meant that i was up with the sun because the shades are decent, but hardly blackout. Because I was working, this wasn't a huge problem, but had I been out until 3 or 4 in the morning, I would've been very unhappy with all of the light in the room.
Rooms are very modern, very functional and reasonably comfortable. Full size fridge/freezer, two burner cook-top and good sized microwave. Great bathroom, with an oversize shower and the counter space was good too. The sitting room was functional, nothing special, but nice enough to sit on, and use the TV...except that the TV reception was sporadic in this room, which I advised the front desk of this morning on my way out. I didn't need it, so no big deal. The Wi-Fi was great, which is not always the case at some hotels.
I thought that it was very reasonably priced too. I'd stay again, but I would ask for a room facing West, and away from the elevators and/or maintenance rooms.
