Rated 5 out of 5 by Best Staff I have ever stayed with The staff at the Element Arundel Mills are top notch. They are welcoming and go out of their way to make sure that your stay is GREAT. Additionally, The location of the hotel is perfect and the 24hr shuttle is wonderful as id the driver of the van. Would (and will) stay here again! The rooms are spacious and having the kitchenette is so helpful! Only negative is wishing that the pool was bigger but that's just being picky. June 17, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Excellent I stayed at the Element for the night before, and night of my wedding. We also blocked rooms for our guests at the Aloft next door. I loved the modern design of the room. The staff was very attentive and communicative from the time I booked the room through my checkout. They even kept the bar open late when we returned from the ceremony so that we could continue partying! A special thanks to Elizabeth for all of her help! July 5, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Quick Vacation My husband and I try to get away for a night every month, we decided to go to Marylnad Live and I knew we would not want to drive home. I found this Hotel for an outstanding price on a Saturday night, I mean amazing and the pictures looked great - so I thought we woudl give it a try. The Hotel room is exactly as pictured, we got the suite with a living room, kitchen and King bed. It was wonderful and the staff was friendly. The shower was a BLESSING!!~ My only issue is the room was not as "new" as I assumed it would be; there were carpet issues, marks on the wall, and marks in the shower. NOTHING was dirty just seemed "old" as oppsoed to "brand new". I would still stay and will tell others to go visit. The breakfast was god, we went down around 9:30 expecting very littel and got a hot breakfast, my husband had 2 plates. Overall the stay was great, and we will be back! September 23, 2013

Rated 4 out of 5 by Comfortable Stay We rented 2 rooms for one night while staying in the area for a birthday celebration. Rooms were quite comfortable. Well equipped kitchen in each room with a full refrigerator- not a mini fridge! We arrived late and forgot a toothbrush. Unfortunately, the hotel does not supply complimentary toothbrushes and stores were closed. The shower was lovely, but the shower floor in both rooms could use a good scrubbing. October 17, 2012
Rated 4 out of 5 by great staff - went above and beyond My family stayed at the Element, and my 11-year old daughter left behind a small stuffed animal - her favorite, of course - one that she has brought everywhere since she was born. We returned to the hotel about six hours after we checked out, and Cisco, the manager, went above and beyond to help look for it. He escorted me back the room, which had already been made up, where we looked everywhere - no sign of the stuffed elephant. Cisco then brought me back to the lobby and asked me to wait while he went to where the staff brings the sheets, etc. He looked for quite a while for it. Suddenly he emerged with the little elephant. I'm not sure I want to know what he went through to find it (literally and figuratively), but my daughter and family were beyond happy. That's the kind of service that makes someone a repeat customer. Thanks to all - we'll be back next time we're in Maryland! April 21, 2013

Rated 4 out of 5 by Weekend Getaway Loved the hotel. Had the one bedroom suite (full kitchen) & it was clean, the staff was very friendly & helpful and the location was GREAT. Close to the Inner Harbor and had many, many dining establishments nearby. The only thing you couldn't do was swim laps. The hotel pool was very small. Our nine year old son enjoyed it though. Rated 2 out of 5 by Room The two people at the front desk were very friendly and helpful. When I arrived in the room, there were no kitchen utensils, nor were there any soaps for the bathroom or dishwasher detergent. I had to request 3 times in the span of 5 hours for more kitchen utensils (pot, forks, spoons, all cooking utensils, etc). I felt disappointed on two levels: the poorly turnaround time for my request, and the fact that all of this should be there upon arrival. There is some opportunties for the staff to pay attention when cleaning rooms. There would be days where I would only recieve 1 bath towel ,1 face towel and no bathmat. And on other days, where I would recieve 2 bath towels, 1 face towel, and maybe a bath mat. There is no standard set in place for items as simple as bath towels. As a consumer, I should understand the standard, and expect nothing less. Unforuntely, I did not feel this while staying at Element. March 23, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Place! I visit Arrundels for a book signing at the mall and this place was amazing. It's close to everything and the room is like a home away from home. This hotel was full of peace and comfort. FYI: You'll love the kitchen... Only negative thing: House keeping comes in at 10am, kind of late when you need a towel and they left my water running after they 1/2 cleaned my room. January 29, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Element hotel in Hanover - truly exceptional! We stumbled upon this hotel by accident, looking for a dog friendly stay on our trip. Now we come back even without our pooch! What's not to love about super-comfy bed, spacious, modern bath, fully equipped kitchen, big breakfast and even some free dinner options, and pool with 24 hour gym access with a price our family can afford? Hope to stay there again soon! June 23, 2013
Rated 2 out of 5 by Great Location / Bad Customer Service The staff did not meet my expectations or needs in a timely fashion. The guest laundry did not work properly. In an extended stay hotel, this is critical. I was told to go to an ajoining hotel to wash and dry my clothes. If I knew this, I would have just stayed at the other hotel. As a Starwood Preferred Guest, I was expecting more. This was very disappointing. April 15, 2013
Rated 2 out of 5 by Step up from a hostel I think this is my last stay at the hotel. Staff is marginally friendly. I spend 75% of my time on the road. Much of it at this hotel so I see patterns that are concerning. No one seems to be managing he hotel. I see people working but the result is average at best for a Starwood property. I suggest that someone be a mystery guest to experience what I have. August 10, 2013
Rated 3 out of 5 by Switched rooms I had to switch rooms twice while I stayed at this hotel. The first because the ceiling was leaking. The second because the other room had no heat. I was told by maintenance that my room would be discounted due to the number of inconvenient moves I had to go through but I NEVER received that discount. Rated 5 out of 5 by This Element is much like "Cheers" it's a home and family where everyone knows you name. The "Face" or personality of any company comes from the people who meet and serve us one-on-one. It's is not Corporate's advertising. Ms. Siyon always seems to be a great team leader and the backing of a great desk staff - Tine, Cecil Jalesha & Treon. House keeping is always on their toes. I loved Niki's ready smiles. Shedonia and Jessica were always ready to serve us too. And I enjoyed talking to Taurant, Niegal and James! What nice and hard working guys. Last but not least was "Mister Christian" - Kudos for being steady on the job. The morning meals were, as before, of quality and fine service. The only soft spot during this visit was noticing the work load. I thought I could see the signs of "make more with less" and the staff seemed stretched a little thin, especially on the most visible part of the Element operation, the Front Desk. I don't know how you could make this request happen, please give the entire staff a hugh "Thank you from me? Chip June 24, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Get-A-way We totally enjoyed our stay at the Element. The staff were super nice. It was great staying so close to Maryland LIve. It was nice to have a breakfast available. My only suggestion is to have either donuts or danishes to have with coffee for those who don't like a full breakfast. The rooms were very clean and the bed was comfortable. December 28, 2012
Rated 4 out of 5 by Graet Breakfast great Gym The staff were excellent. Talin at the desk was extremely helpful.. The pull-out sofa was lumpy and not comfortable in the living room. The Gym room was clean and very good. The coffee was awesome. breakfast was great. The toilet paper in bathroom was alittle stif. Also you were out of the complimentary toothbrush and toothpaste. Rated 5 out of 5 by Far exceeded expectation It was my first stay with the element Brand. I wasn't sure what to expect from an extended stay type of facility. I was blown away by the amenities, comfort, and friendliness and professionalism of the staff. I will continue to make starwood my home away from home and look forward to spending more time at the arunda mills Element. June 15, 2013

Rated 5 out of 5 by WOW LOVED THIS ROOM!!! We stayed in the executive suite. I could live here no joke. Full kitchen, beautiful bathroom and the bedroom is set away from the door so you cant here anyone walking the hallways. it was the most relaxing and peaceful room ive ever stayed in May 20, 2014

Rated 1 out of 5 by Rooms were dirty I checked in at 2:30 & they had nothing avalible. They ended up sticking me in a handicapped room. The bathroom is filthy there was hair all over the bathroom floor. I called to tell them the issue & it took them over 45 min to move me. They asked that I stay in the dirty room & someone would bring me a key. I eventually went downstairs because I was sick of waiting. The next room was a better room but it was twice as filthy. I couldn't believe how dirty this too was. There was somehow barbecue sauce all over the kitchen floor on the desk & on the lamp in the Livingroom. The bathroom floor was also dirty. The baseboard near the toilet was covered in urine. Also ever single glass, utensil and plate in the kitchen was used & not washed. There was food stuck to them and lipstick all over the glasses. I was so disappointed & grossed out with this hotel. I have been staying at spg properties for 2 years and have never experienced anything like this. I would not go back to the BWI elements. Rated 4 out of 5 by front desk staff are excellent Cecil at the front desk did a great job trying to fix several problems with my booking. All the front desk staff are very helpful. Hotel is comfortable but not the best for the business traveller who needs to be up and away early. Noisy courtyard so request a room facing away from this area. May 30, 2013
Rated 3 out of 5 by Dirty Room The hotel staff was wonderful!!!! I love this hotel unfortunatly the room was very dirty. The wood floor was sticky and we had to clean with with a towel. in the end the towel was black. The bathroom was also not clean to hotel standards. Rated 4 out of 5 by Great place to stay, Not Excactly The Westin I am a big Westin Hotel person but I wanted to stay closer to the Mall and Casino, so I opted to stay at the Element because it is a Westin Hotel. It is definitely not The Westin, but its still a nice hotel. It has elements of The Westin, but I feel it does not have that completeness that a Westin would have. I did like the room, great bed and nice big couch. The kitchen was a help and I always appreciate the fridge. But the bed wasn't as soft as I'm used to at The Westin, the bathroom looked nice, but the sink area looked cheaply done and the paint was not a full coat (I could see the white through the grey coat). I really did appreciate the complimentary breakfast also. It's an affordable hotel and I still would stay there again, but I probably had too much expectations of it being that it said by The Westin. There are things about element that shine and things about The Westin that shine, but overall it was still a great stay. Ideal location and great pricing. I would recommend it to anyone. Rated 4 out of 5 by Nice Room, good breakfast Enjoyed the HD connection. Too often there is an HD TV, without HD reception. Breakfast was surprisingly good. Good eggs, potatoes and real orange juice. Amazing kitchen if staying longer. No access to morning paper was bothersome. April 28, 2014
