Rated 4 out of 5 by Nice Off-Strip Location After my recent unpleasant stay in Chicago, it made me appreciate this off-strip, understated hotel, and obliged to come back and provide a testament. The hotel is new and has an avant-garde design, signature of the new Element/Aloft branding. You'll definitely need a vehicle to get here, about 15-20 mins drive from the strip. Quiet, relaxing change to the hustle and bustle on the strip, which may not be for everyone visiting LV. Cooking facilities, fridge provides a good option during my 8-night stay. Nice breakfast every morning. All in a pleasant stay, I will definitely consider staying here next visit! August 14, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great stay in Vegas Away from the noisy Strip, this hotel is a great place for family stay. It has good breakfast and convenient kitchen. The pool is nice too. It's close to the Red Rock Canyon park. June 2, 2014

Rated 5 out of 5 by Great place to stay in while in Vegas BUT.... Great overall but not as comforting as the Element in Miami FL. Located in an upscale part of Las Vegas away from the strip and noise. The shower faucet was not as pleasant (the way the water came out and flowed on you) and the water pressure was low. The bed had fewer pillows than I expected. The room was very clean and smelled fresh. The front desk clerk was pleasant and helpful. Breakfast was very good with a wide variety of danish, sandwiches, real OJ (not from concentrate), eggs were cooked and seasoned well, link sausage had a good flavor. They also had yogurt and 2% as well as fat free milk. Internet speed was marginal and not as fast as the Hard Rock Hotel located on the strip. August 29, 2012
Rated 4 out of 5 by Excellent hotel It was our first time at an Element Hotel and we love the concept. Our overall experience was excellent. Staff attention, recommendations, hotel facilities, ambience, etc. The complimentary breakfast was excellent and very complete. Almost everything was very good. Our only two complaints: We found dog hair in the fold out couch in the first room we stayed upon our arrival and we found food crumbs also in the fold out couch of the second room we had for our departure. I had to request a vaccumm cleaner so my kids could sleep on the mattress. Thank you very much for your hospitality. February 28, 2014

Rated 2 out of 5 by great customer service Recently stayed for 9 days. Customer service was great - always smiling and eager to help. Rooms were smaller than expected but still very modern. Shower was okay however water flooded the floor each time. They advertise manager reception with drinks such as beer, wine, however there is no alcohol. Breakfast during the week was a little boring with sandwiches each day and the same fruit - a little variety would be great. There was no spa. Ice was only available by purchase. Most hotels offer ice machines and also have fresh ice water in the lobby for guests which was not the case here. July 23, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Very disappointing If this had been my first stay at this hotel, I would not be returning. We checked in early, which was great, we through our bags in the room and took off. Got back later in the evening my husband flipped on the light and the wall next to the bed had some mysterious stains dripping down the wall, they had not been wiped off, the side table was greasy. The room felt like it had not been completely cleaned. Also, the sink started making gurgling noises, not quite sure where that was coming from. I think the reason I am more disappointed is the fact that this is a Westin hotel and I do expect a certain level from them and I do not feel that this hotel lives up to that standard all the time. We did get put in to another room, with out any problems. The new room, while cleaner, was missing some of the setups for a room. Again, I don't think anyone double checks to make sure things are finished. May 13, 2014
Rated 2 out of 5 by Not relaxing My husband and I stayed from a Friday to Sunday. While the room was clean and bed comfy, the walls were too thin. There was a couple staying next door with their baby. Not only did I hear the baby crying, talking, and playing all day and night, I heard the couple on the phone and simply having regular conversation amongst each other. Then, the dogs. I heard large dogs barking every day I was there from different guests. Needles to say, I got very lil sleep and was quite lethargic for my trip back to Los Angeles. However, the staff was pleasant and the gym was clean and easily accessible. I would not stay there again unless I planned on not getting much sleep and being out of my room the majority of the time. Rated 5 out of 5 by We felt like royalty! Staff call us by our names and offer to help in anyway that they can. Grant even offered to fetch breakfast stuff for us. JP made us decaf whenever we asked, even late at night. Our rooms were fabulous and quiet with a great view. Manager David Smith really understands quality service. We always stay at the Element whenever we are in Vegas. We needed an oxygen machine delivered to the room and JP and Maria took care of everything. It was an outstanding stay! I highly recommend this hotel to anyone wanting a quality experience. The shower head and the bed are divine. Thanks again! November 4, 2013

Rated 5 out of 5 by Home away from home Love this place whenever i visit Las Vegas. Quiet, calming, understated - everything the casino hotels are NOT. You get a fully functional kitchen which helps tremendously if you don't want to eat out every night (a large grocery store is 3 mins away). Staff is friendly and very accommodating. Summerlin is a beautiful suburb reminding me much of home. Amazing restaurants that are 20% less expensive than what you'll find on the strip. Only a short 10 min drive right off a major highway to the strip or the airport. Great job to the General Manager and staff at Elements Summerlin! October 18, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by We wish all hotels were like this! On the last night of our two-week canyon road trip we checked into the Element hotel in Las Vegas. Having stayed at a wide range of hotels during our recent travels this place blew us away! It was obviously designed by thoughtful folks who want to help travelers keep life on the road simple, comfortable, healthy and sustainable. Since we weren't interested in being close to the strip, the slightly out-of-way location was fine--it was a short (and simple) 15-minute drive to the airport for our early morning flight home. The suite was clean, spacious and well-laid out with beautiful, simple furnishings. It included a fully-stocked kitchen, a large couch, a well-designed work area, spacious closets and shelves and a comfy bed. WiFi access was excellent (it's so nice not to have to use a password!). I took a quick peek at their grab & go pantry behind the registration desk and was impressed with the range of reasonably-priced snack options available. A great deal of careful consideration has obviously gone into all aspects of this hotel. The staff we encountered were warm and friendly and obviously very proud of the hotel. We didn't have time to use any of the facilities, nor take advantage of the breakfast bar--but we enjoyed a good cup of coffee from the lobby on our way out the door. May 26, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by No slot machines - I love it! I grew up in SoCal, and have never been a "Vegas, baby!" kind of gal. So when I had to go there on business, I was super excited to find a hotel that didn't cater to the typical Vegas scene. I found that in the Element. Quiet, free breakfast, comfortable, LEED certified (this is very important!), friendly staff, and dog friendly, too. It's also next to Red Rock Canyon, a great hiking place. Will definitely return. Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Stopover We were driving from SLC to Phoenix and decided to stop here for the night. I'm glad we did! The rooms were fantastic....much more than I expected. Decor, layout, and ambiance is fantastic. The food is spectacular and original. Look forward to staying as a destination rather than a stopover. Keep it up! May 15, 2014
Rated 3 out of 5 by What Happened I have been here many times and enjoyed my stay most of the time. However, when the toilet inside lid has brown splash and the tamps have a week worth of dust. I was not pleased. The sofa pillows are in need of cleaning. I certainly hope this is an isolated situation. December 7, 2011

Refreshing, quiet with all amenities of a home kitchen including a hot plate, dishwasher and fridge. Nice sleeper sofa and work desk. Rated 5 out of 5 by A very pleasant surprise First time Element guests and we will surely com back here again! It is about 20-minutes away from the strip so this can be a downside for some. But not for us. We stayed here with our son and we were more than pleasantly surprised. It is very refreshing to know this excellent hotel is available in Las Vegas as a get-away from the strip option - without the casinos and the smoke wafting everywhere. The entire facility is superbly clean and well maintained, and the environment relaxing, quiet, zen-like. The hot breakfast is surely very nice to wake up to in the morning! August 8, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by One of the Best, but... I have frequented many of the higher-end Starwood locations and I have to admit the I simply LOVE this hotel - both for comfort and value. I have satyed at this hotel for 10 days last year and 10 days this year. The ONLY issue with the hotel which made me decide not to come again is cleanliness... and more specifically - 1. towels - it was amazing and disturbing to find out that every day, at least one of them was stained with pseudo-blood and/or other gnarly-looking stains. Also, most of them appeared worn-out and greyish (they began their lives as white...) 2. floor and carpets - simply dirty. you couldn't walk around in the room without having yuur feet blackened with dirt. we actually had to stop by a store and buy slippers to walk around in the room... 3. couches - worn out, stained and with holes in them which were not-so-professionaly stitched. This is truly a waste of an amazing spot with amazing view and great facilities. Knowing Starwood, I am sure that if someone decides to take care of these issues, they can be eliminated faily easily and quickly. December 8, 2011
Rated 3 out of 5 by Very Nice Hotel in Summerlin A very nice "general need" hotel. We stayed here for a nearby family reunion. Clean, modern, comfortable. Not luxurious, romantic or fancy, although nice beds and bedding. Prides itself on being a "Green property" which is great! Very good breakfast. Modern, clean decor although a bit steriile. Green does not have to be so sparce, and ironically the lobby and elevator had a slight smell of cleaning chemicals when we arrived. The 20-min from the strip location is in a business/medical facility park close to typical "suburban" amenities. Nice pool area. Easy to get to the strip. Service was good. LEO (housekeeping) and GRANT (front desk) were particularly helpful to us. All in all a very good experience. Would stay again. October 18, 2013

Rated 5 out of 5 by Great experience! My husband, daughter, and I (+ our pug puppy) stayed at the hotel for four days and had a wonderful time. The staff were uber polite and on top of everything and the hotel was incredibly clean and well kept. As we have family in Las Vegas, we wanted to stay somewhere with a pool but without the hectic vibe a lot of the hotel/casinos can give you AND we wanted to bring our pug along for our trip - and the Element was a perfect fit. The only negative was that you can hear the people in the room above you so I would recommend the higher floors if possible. June 18, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Great place to stay away from The Strip! Finding a place to stay for business in Vegas that doesn't smell like cigarettes, Febreze and desperation can be very difficult. Element is not only an excellent business hotel, it's conveniently located on the 215, and is extremely clean and comfortable. On top of that, the staff and GM are professional, courteous, and very hospitable. I will definitely recommend this property. April 27, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Best (way) "Off the Strip" hotel in Vegas I don't like to be pampered by hotels, and the element in Summerlin provides me the best of staying at a really nice, clean property without being "bothered" by staff making sure everthing about my visit is gong fine. When I need their help, they are there to ensure any request has been addressed. I've stayed at this property five times now, and I just love it. Really makes me feel like I'm at home. The free internet enables me to get work done, the DVD player allows me to watch my own videos, the full kitchen really comes in handy with managing what I eat (my friends and I had a BBQ on the last visit 7/2 - 7/4), and the comfy bed ensures I have a nice night's sleep. The property is also well kept and very clean, and the staff is awesome. July 15, 2012
Rated 4 out of 5 by Great location away from the strip The Element by Westin was a great alternative away from the strip and conveniently located on HWY 215. The rooms were great for myself, my wife, and my 3 small children. The staff was great and the breakfast buffet was really good. Didn't use the amenities but pool, fitness room, and grounds were well kept. This hotel was not the typical Westin or W that I commonly frequent, but it had the Westin Flair that made it seem so. They had the heavenly shower and hi-end bathroom items so that was great. I would recommend this to others for sure. March 9, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by nice hotel The room was great, staff was friendly and helpful. This was a nice location, easy access to freeway. Overall it was a good experience and we would stay there again. We brought a dog and the only thing regarding pets I was disappointed with was there was no grassy area for the dog. With the heat at that location, it would be good to have a cool place for the dog to go that wasn't burning asphalt or rocks. When checking in, the promotion I signed up for online was not already in the system, had to start all over with that at the desk. September 3, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Beyond Expectations I would like to acknowledge front desk clerk, "JP" for going above and beyond in his efforts to deliver "stellar customer service." We arrived to find; I had inadvertently booked the room incorrectly to accommodate 2 moms traveling with 2 tweens. JP listened to my dilemma and was able to make arrangements to make our stay perfect. As a Gold Level SPG Member; I like my stays to be problem-free when traveling with friends - and JP made that happen. Kudos to him and the entire staff at The Element - we will definitely be back!
