Rated 4 out of 5 by David Our 2nd Stay
We returned for another stay at Element. Nice upstairs room, and invited some family over for an early meal. Only issues were a cracked drinking glass, and a chipped plate. They promptly provided stem wine glasses when asked, staff very friendly. Unfortunately a maintenace ac guy woke up my wife when he knocked on the door within an hour of checking in and she was trying to catch a quick nap....We'll return!

Rated 3 out of 5 by Golfgal Hotel is very Contemporary.
This hotel chain is to contemporary for my taste. Room does not have a warm comfy feeling: echo when talking and poor lighting are why I don't rate higher. I could not regulate the temp in the room, ended up turning off the thermostate and then I was more comfortable. I like the breakfast and social evening. On our first night there were 3 fire alarms during middle of night. Not a good start to my work week.

- No one at check in desk when I arrived at 1 am
- No hot water in shower - first time in 14 years staying in Starwood hotels.
- No "Do not Disturb" sign to be put up and got interrupted by house keeping in the morning even though I was checking out.
- Breakfast ended at 9:30 am on a weekday. I got there at 9:45 am and I was told " there was no more breakfast becasue it is almost 10 o'clock!!".

Rated 4 out of 5 by Jackson47 Good experience but two issues
I found the hotel to be modern, clean, and in an excellent location. The first night I had difficulty with a barking dog. I found out the next day that the policy is to put dogs on the first two floors. I was not told this at check in, and had I known I would have selected the 3rd or 4th floors. The people next door checked out and the next night was quiet. Other than the dog policy, staff was very good.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Clio27 Impressed for the price
room spacious, was disappointed the supposed heated pool was not so warm, my infant couldn't go in as too cold. Outside music playing at night, Huge huge annoyance. Disturbed sleep as a result. Once I asked them to turn it off they did immediately. My advice keep it off, not in style of this oasis style hotel to have Carrie underwood in background ruining the serenity of the place. Otherwise great stay

Rated 5 out of 5 by Seetpea1 How do you correct a wrong
I have stayed at this hotel for the last three years a least twice a year. Earlier today I posted a review about a pair of boots that I thought were left there after a little more digging the boots were located. I cannot forgive myself for the trouble I put the staff and the corporate office through.
The only thing I can say is I am very sorry.
Please accept this as a retract from my previous review.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Saddened88 What happened?
My family used to love coming here, but this recent trip was poor. It appeared very busy from the booking we got (king + sofa bed instead of two queens) and then check-in verified it was crowded. We had two issues
1 - Sofa bed
a - asked at check in for the sofa bed to be made up soonest, two little kids who were going to go to sleep soon.
b - called down 45 minutes later to follow-up on sofa bed bedding
c - called down again 30 minutes later to follow-up on sofa bed bedding
d - went to front desk 20 minutes later, waited in line 10 minutes to BEG for sheets.
Had to rearrange everyone as kids already feel asleep in bed because it was late for them.
2 - breakfast - clearly eveyrone picked the same time to have breakfast so the food was ok stocked but there was no tables, spills on the floor and clearly under staffed to handle things.
I realize this is not the top end hotel for SPG, but more staffing would certainly make things better.

Rated 5 out of 5 by MB10 We were treated like family...
Last autumn I stayed at Element Lexington with my young daughter for a month. She was a patient at Boston Children's Hospital Mayo Clinic and we needed a clean, comfortable, and convenient hotel that was more like an apartment than a standard hotel room.
Element was an oasis everyday after hours of intensive treatment and having an apartment where I could prepare meals for my daughter was key. Each day we were met with smiles from the entire staff. They took up a collection and left gifts for my daughter, they cheered us on week after week....Back in the fall, my daughter was in tremendous pain in a wheel chair and yesterday we checked into Element for a one night visit for a follow-up visit to the hospital. The staff was shocked to see her inches taller and walking on her own. Everyone remembered us and treated us like family....I can't imagine this experience in any other hotel. Thank you Element Lexington!

Rated 4 out of 5 by ldlandbg Awesome Kitchen
We were planning a trip to Boston & I was a little skeptical about booking a hotel outside of the downtown area. The Element was a pleasant surprise. Rooms were clean, spacious and having a kitchen was fabulous. It was a 20 minute drive to Boston but we were also made aware that there was a shuttle to the Alewife station that brought you into Boston. Would definately stay there again.

one of my favorite hotel! like a home away from home, we even made lobster dinner during our stay
breakfast was awesome and the kitchen staff were so kind
only thing that bothers me is the noise coming from the floor above, you can constantly hear people walking around. so ask for a room on the 4th floor if you are a light sleeper

Rated 2 out of 5 by Jason101001 The hotel is a bit worn.....
Considering this hotel is less than 5 years old, it really had not been maintained very well. A few things to note: The handle in the shower falls off and is very heavy and has chipped the shower pan, the paint on the walls is scuffed and dirty, the grout in the bathroom is discolored.
I would expect a Starwood property to have a better ongoing maintenance program.

Rated 5 out of 5 by greenfire As great as always
We've been coming to this hotel once or twice a year for several years. It's pet friendly. We bring our two large dogs and two cats and they're always welcome. The room is comfortable and spacious enough for us and our pets. The staff is always friendly and helpful. It's a 'green' hotel, ecology and sustainably minded which is a plus. We highly recommend this hotel.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Evon This hotel exceeded my expectations
I was surprised at the facilities in the hotel room. I stayed in both a 2 queen bed room and a king studio. I liked the studio better. The arrangement was better and the furniture seemed to be newer. The daily breakfast was more than adequate, expecially during the week. There was more variety of quality fruit and other items. I will definitely recommend this hotel.

Rated 4 out of 5 by RM1234 Nice extended stay hotel
We loved the hotel. Our room was spotless and the staff was great. The only thing that could've been better is if they let us extend our stay just 2 more nights. But overall it is a wonderful option.

Rated 5 out of 5 by PM1953 Check it out!
We had been encouraged by a Starwood rep to check out the Element hotels and are very happy we did. We often travel to the Boston area for family events and this will be our go to hotel. Great staff, excellent breakfast and common areas. Good space and conveniences in the room. Will try other Elements in other cities as well. A great use of our SPG points!

The staff at the Element and the Aloft are reason alone to stay at this property. It's a unique setup with the hotels being across the parking lot from one another.
My prefrence is to stay at the Element (Heavenly Beds) - it seems quieter to me, but then have drinks over at the Aloft.
The service and the staff are simply exceptional.

Rated 5 out of 5 by AlaMar Great service
The staff from housekeeping to management were wonderfully solicitous & helpful when I became ill during my visit. They provided extra cleaning when we explained the situation and made themselves available to provide any special service or help we might need. The hotel itself was perfectly kept. The studio room was immaculate & very comfortable.

I stay at the Element every time I visit my sister in Lexington. I love it so much, I've become an SPG member and I stay at sister properties whenever I can when I'm traveling. The staff is very accommodating, the hot breakfast is great and even has a delicious healthy choice, and the room is comfortable - the window even opens!

My son and I stayed at the Lexington Element for a soccer tournament, along with his team. We found the entire stay comfortable and enjoyable. I had a lot of work to do while we were there, and the free internet connection was certainly appreciated.
What I also found was it was nice and quiet so I could concentrate. My son and several of his team mates were right next door playing X-box, hooting and cheering as 16 year olds will do. While I could hear them, it was muffled and not like they were coming through the walls any time soon.
The breakfast was terrific, and the staff helpful, courteous and friendly. The only knock I have is the shower door leaked a bit where it met the wall, causing the floor to get quite wet following a shower. It was an easy clean up however.
Otherwise, nice place, I like am glad to support a "green" concept, especially when it is so seemless, quiet, convenient and reasonably priced. Would certainly recommend to others!

Since finding the Element in Lexington it has been our Boston home base. Stayed 16 days over the last 6 months. Each stay has been great. Staff always there to help, neat rooms and facilities.
Have stayed in other Elements and when the Lexington MA property was location - have not gone anywhere else. They do a very nice job all around.

Element was an unexpected pleasure with first rate service and wonderful extras such as evening beverages/food (Monday through Wednesday eves) and a very nice breakfast. Also, the environmental correctness was particularly pleasing to me (hybrid special parking, bathroom amenities, recycling). The gym and pool were also welcome.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Nikkib Outstanding Customer Service!
The gentleman on the front desk was very helpful and a weath of information about what surrounded the hotel. The rooms are so cool. I plan on returning so I can take advantage of the kitchen. The shower had to be my favorite. The shower head was high enough that I didn't have to bend over backwards to wash my hair.

Always clean. The room feels like a small home with everything you need. The kitchen is well equipped and well designed. The salt water pool was very, very warm on Sunday. Delicious and rather amazing. A shout out to employee Courtney at the Lexington Element. When you see her, you know you are in good hands. Thank you

Rated 5 out of 5 by lmk311 beautifully designed and very comfortable
The thoughtfulness of the design pervades almost everything. filtered water. kitchen equipment, space. light. lobby areas. breakfast. I was impressed. One suggestion from a first timer, it was hard to keep shower water from spraying outside of the shower.

Well-thought out concept for an eco-friendly hotel!
Clean air environment, rain head shower with soap/shampoo dispensers, and dual flush toilets.
Provides sink with filter drinking water to cut down water bottles. Greatly appreciated! All hotels should follow suit!
