The Element has always been my chosen hotel when in Omaha for business.
This past trip the pipes in my toilet screeched all night. I went down to the lobby and was told the only other room available was on hold so they couldn't move me but that my room would be comped for the evening.
In the morning after very little sleep I went to check out and was being charged for the entire cost of room and parking. When I questioned it the front desk staff asked their manager and came back to offer free parking... A complete insult. She then went back and when she returned said she could give me $40 off my room. Not acceptable. I had to ask for the manager to come out and told her how unprofessional it was that I was even having to dispute this, much less ask for her to make an appearance.
I contacted customer service and told them after the additude I received from the manager I did not want to be contacted by her, but rather wanted to be contacted by her supervisor.
I received an email from Courtney (the manager I had already dealt with) saying the room would be free of charge.
I never heard from a supervisor. When I called customer service again they told me it wasn't possible to speak to her supervisor. They also gave me no credit for my stay, much less points.
As a business traveler, I don't pay out of pocket for my hotel expense. However, the points and getting credit for my stay is a personal benefit for me.
I am very disgusted with SPG on how they've handled their entire situation and now need to find a new hotel in Omaha for myself, colleagues, and boss when we are in town each month.
After the way customer service has handled everything, it really looks like I need to find a new hotel group for my weekly travel in general.

I travel 100 nights a year and Starwood's SPG program is simply the best. More importantly is the Experience one has as a guest. The Omaha Element is a phenomenal experience. The staff is professional and always does what is needed to make me feel welcome. The location and it's proximity to downtown is an added plus, as are the restaurants, movie theatre and other forms of entertainment within walking distance. Can't say enough great things about the hotel! Well done Starwood!

Room was different from any other stayed at. No need for full size noisy refrigerator just few feet from the bed. Sofa facing the bed AT foot of the bed very weird. Television in very odd place to view other than in the bed. Checking-in discovered no free parking anywhere, with additional ten dollar fee per night..

As often I have done, I stayed here when catching a flight out of Omaha. I continue to find this hotel clean, well kept, in good repair, rooms well appointed, however the breakfast can be all over the place, varying widely from stay to stay.

My wife and I stayed one night here on a road trip. Finishes were what I've come to expect from an SPG hotel. Slightly annoying to have to pay for parking, but not horrible.

My first time to stay at element when i traveled to Omaha. It was a pleasant surprise for me from the time I arrived to the time I checked out. Everything was great. My favorite part is the breakfast. The people takes pride in what they do- and they should be. The best breakfast from all others. I usually like to eat out to try different food but I am excited every morning to have their breakfast especially their breakfast sandwiches. Rooms are spacious with full size kitchen. I really enjoyed the hotel and their I want to go back just for that reason
