Rated 1 out of 5 by lack of food We arrived from the west coast tired and hungry. We were unable to get any food. There wasn't even an ice bucket in the room. The front desk person Bill said that we could order from several outside restauranst. When we tried - they were all closed. Finally Bill brought us a couple of bananas from the kitchen as well as a large bag of ice. The room was clean abd well furnished although I was confused by the elaborate kitchen - not sure how one is able to get the food to cook since most people arrive by air. The hall carpet was stained and needed vacuming May 15, 2013
Rated 2 out of 5 by No Electricity - No Compensation On Thursday night I arrived back to the hotel about 10 pm to find that there was no electricity in the hotel. Apparently it had been out since 5pm and they had no idea of when it might come back on. That meant no AC in Miami which is unbearable. I had to leave the hotel to find power to charge my cell phone and continue to do some work. The staff didn't offer any solutions other that giving me a flashlight. They didn't offer to move me to another hotel or didn't offer to provide any compensation. When I checked out, they took my SPG# and said that they would TRY to get me some additional points. Rated 3 out of 5 by No follow up or professionalism Let me first begin by saying don't stay here. There are other SPG hotels in the area that are better located and have restaurants and grocery store close by. This hotel is located in a terrible location. I stayed at this facility about a month ago. From the pictures online, I thought it would be a perfect hotel to stay for two weeks. However, after the first night, I begin to have issues with my AC. After speaking to the Front office Manager on several occasions, and not getting any assistance, I changed my reservation to the minimum amount of days until I could move. I actually email the General Manager on the day that I checked out, thinking he would have some professionalism and return my call or e-mail, but he never did. I stayed at this hotel to see if it would accommodate a seminar for 150 people in the future but it failed the test. I'm glad I found out early about the service and like my mom always says, if you are not getting the service you desire, take your business elsewhere. May 17, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Perfect, very nice hotel! The hotel is beautiful, well equipped, very comfortable with great breakfast. The staff is very helpful. It is also well located for those who are driving. Very good price for all it offers. Everything perfect. May 15, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Element Hotel in Miami The staff at the front desk whe we arrived asked for my ID and credit card but didn't even read those. So they got confused (and confused me) when they were going to give me a room type that was reserved for another person (with my last name). Also they were kind of impersonal when it comes to explain details about the hotel, parking, internet, breakfast. Looks like these young females were kind of in a hurry. May 13, 2013
Rated 2 out of 5 by Found hair on bed sheet I was disgusted when I found human hair on one of the beds upon lifting the sheets getting ready to go to sleep. It ruined my whole evening plus inconveniences. May 15, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Overall a great stay, feather allergies beware Overall this hotel was much more than I expected. It's setup for more of an extended stay than one would typically expect as rooms are quite roomy and equipped with a kitchenette. In addition, the property has a small and adorable dog who was rescued by the manager and hangs around to greet guests.,..he's very well behaved and was a really welcome treat to be greeted by. Being an individual who is severely allergic to feathers I was VERY disappointed in the hotel's ability to meet my needs...at check-in I reminded the front desk attendant that I needed a feather free room and was advised 'it should be all set'...it wasn't when I got into the room so I called down. It took three phone calls and more than an hour before I could get the feathers removed and linens replaced. But, of course, the houseman simply handed me the sheets instead of actually replacing them for me. When I advised of the previous night's experience upon check-out the next day the front desk attendant apologized and offered points...the points were a nice gesture but I would've really preferred it was handled properly. After a long work day and travel, dealing with an issue that should not ever be an issue was just not acceptable. May 14, 2013
Rated 1 out of 5 by Power was out for most of the evening I checked into the hotel on 5/9 and was surprised that the power was out for most of the evening. I was shocked that they did not have back up generators to power the rooms. They were slow to offer rooms at other hotels. May 13, 2013
