Rated 2 out of 5 by This hotel is very poorly located. There are no restaurants or food options within walking distance of the hotel. The hotel has no restaurant or food service. The service is very slow at the front desk. When trying to purchase snacks at the very small shop one must wait for the front desk clerk to finish with all guest at counter before unlocking the cooler and completing the purchase. The food provided for breakfast was very poor quality. June 14, 2013

Rated 3 out of 5 by Hit or Miss at This Property I've stood at this property several times. Due to its proximity to MIA, easy access to the highways, and price that cannot be beat for what it offers, it is truly an ideal property for me as a business traveller into the area. However, with that said, this place seems to be completely hit or miss depending on the staff on duty. Robert, the overnight front desk attendant is amazing. Always quick to answer questions (such as where to go get something to eat in the desolate area this place is located in at 3am) or provide any needed service. During my last stay, my room had no toiletries the first day. Despite repeated calls to the front desk, and hours of waiting, toiletries never arrived. Housekeeping restocked the bathroom the next morning, but left just one towel! There were 2 of us staying in the room with a third person joining us the last night. Again, calls to the front desk were met with "we'll send it right over" but the towels didn't come until I walked myself down the front desk and asked for a manager on duty (I was told there was none) and for the towels to be handed to me so I could walk them upstairs. The guy at the front desk proceeded to radio housekeeping and wanted to argue with me that I never called the front desk asking for towels!!! I'm not asking for St Regis or Luxury Collection service, because I know that's not what this hotel is about. I love the concept of element and am loyal to the brand when my travels take me to a city with an element hotel, but please keep it consistent Miami!! June 13, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by great for the airport or cruise terminal Very comfortable modern hotel with lovely rooms great reception area and pool. Breakfast is good and there is coffee available all day. Shuttle to airport every 30 mins is great. Staff very friendly and overall was a good place to stay. The only thing is there is no restaurant or bar and although they sold alcohol in the shop is was expensive. If hey priced drinks more realistically then would be ok. June 9, 2013
Rated 3 out of 5 by Great hotel, cleanliness is a serious issue I have been loyal to the Element brand for several years now and I was eager to stay at the new MIA property. Unfortunately, the cleanliness in my suite was far below my expectations. Kitchen utensils were not clean. Bathroom towels stained. I found hair on the bathroom vanity, and housekeeping left a partially used lotion bottle from the last guest. Coffee creamers in room had expired recently as well. Overall housekeeping is lacking here, and corrective action needs to be taken ASAP. June 8, 2013

Rated 5 out of 5 by Just what we needed Complimentary breakfast and dinner over exceeded our expectations. Hotel is a little out of the way, but the complimentary shuttle can get you to the metro rail. The shuttle runs on 30 minutes intervals. Only recommendation is that when you schedule a shuttle for pickup that they get your number in case the shuttle cannot find you. We spent about an hour once waiting on a shuttle before I called back and found out it couldn't find us. Would definitely stay here again if in the area. June 2, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great hotel experience for Miami airport Wonderful stay at this hotel. Staff was fantastic - accommodated my need to check-in early with no issues. Common areas are open and airy. Rooms are large, most importantly beds are comfortable and loved the kitchen aspect since we were staying for a week. Breakfast is tasty, and their espresso machine is fantastic. While located near the airport, hardly ever heard the planes and enjoyed the river view. Good fitness center for hotel. I read all the reviews prior to moving to the Element, and they are accurate. Coconut Groves (downtown and Bay area) only 20 minutes away - and Coral Gables about 25 minutes (not in rush hour.) May 24, 2013
